He politely told me he had to finish an order and would be with me in a couple of minutes. He then took about 15 minutes of his time to understand what I was trying to fix, to look up some potential solutions on the web and to suggest options (one of which just worked out fine, thank you Jim) and all done in great humour. Thank you so much for your help and professionalism Jim. Just for contrast, I went to Baskins Ace hardware in Harwich Port (a few miles away) the day before and they was met with impatience and no inclination to help. In fact they had asked me to go find the prices for one of their products (screws, all in small boxes, all priced differently, none marked clearly/obviously), and when I said I had no idea where that price might be found, could they help me I was told "well we're busy". I insisted so they helped. I clearly didn't go back.

Now, I know from nothing about grill prices but when I a saw $250.00 off well I went from looking for a grill cleaner to a new grill. Oldest daughter Kate was the winner of the old Weber that has served us well on CC for 61/2 seasons and frankly year round. It has needed nothing, cooks hot, and has been indestructible. The new Weber....she's my baby. She has this sort of gray pearl like finish that has me keeping this one cleaned and covered in her black plastic robe. I slowly take it off before cooking and she glistens and shimmers.....enough of that. So really like the extra burner for roughing it. I cook (smoke ribs on it), fish of all sorts but kicking ass with tuna and my striper fingers. Oh yea the deal. Salesperson was pretty crafty. He knew when I said I was just looking I was really buying. Entice me with an offer I thought. Wow $250.00 off just like that, have in stock only $25.00 for delivery! What? Silence, I ask him where the charcoal is....he replies we will deliver for free. Amex comes out and we have a new grill. Delivered the next day; fired up for the big party and the striper fingers were a big hit. I like this place. As mentioned much better cookware area with better brands. Need to get a personality over in the paint area but hey if I sold paint I might be like that too. More blue hairs in that store then at the wine tastings at Friends on the weekend.

We were near the Baskin's Ace Hardware store and headed inside. The staff were welcoming, encouraging us to make ourselves comfortable. They took terrific care of us. Gave us bottles of cold water, a lantern (the power had gone out) and then when it started to get dangerous outside, they escorted us to the basement where we were out of harm's way. We are so grateful to all the staff for their kindness, and we would encourage folks in the area to support this business. The same Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac, 12oz. is sold for $12.99 at the ACE Hardware a few miles away. That's a 45% difference. Unfortunately, for me, I purchased the $18.79 can at Post Office Sq. Fortunately for me a returned it. I doubt the Ace Hardware at 2 post office Square, Harwich Port will ever see me again. I don't mind a few percent higher, but 45% is being gouged.

On the 27th I received texts again saying I was rescheduled for Oct 5th. On Oct 4th I received texts again that I was rescheduled for 7th. On the 6th I once was notified that I was rescheduled for 12th. My response to crst on the 6th (after being on hold for 30 minutes) is that I have been taking off work for these canceled appts and was not happy. I received email from crst apologizing. I responded that as long as they showed on 12th i would deal with it as lowes already charged my credit card for install. Oct 12 comes. No calls no emails from crst. I called the number provided. Recording says I was scheduled 315 to 615. I called lowes customer service and they confirmed same (after waiting on hold for 25 minutes). Not trusting crst I called at 330 to see if I was still scheduled. Nope I was cancelled again and was told it was because I might need more wiring and they needed approval from lowes. I asked how would they know that i need more wiring when they never spoke to me or came to my house. I called lowes back and spoke to Karen. She called crst and was told.they would still be here by 615. We'll 615 came and went. Called lowes again. After on hold again forever I was told crst would reach out to me that night. Guess what?? They did not reach out. I have canceled install requested my money back and will be returning fandlier. Never never again will I shop at lowes.
