She did call around 10:00pm, while we were in bed, and said she could move us to a bigger room. We were already sleeping . The room we got was extremely dark, with old furniture and paint chipping. The bartender in the bar, said he cold make anything, then didn't have what I wanted. Gave me a substitute liquor, which was not even close and made me sick. The continental breakfast was scones, packets of oatmeal, some fruit and some dry cereal. Bad Coffee and 10 tea bags, none of which I would ever drink. They consider this an artsy boutique type of hotel, I felt like we were on "Skid Row". Marriott should cut ties!!!

The rooms have a foul odor. The manager is never there, and as I was told, "does not keep regular hours." The ice machine was broken the whole time we were there and every time you go in the elevator you take your life in your hands. Most people took the stairs because they were afraid of the elevator. They do not clean regularly. There was a cookie on the floor in our hallway for four days. The staff is a gut punch. They charged us all in advance for the full stay before check-in and proceeded to get a few dozen declines. Carol, the horrific and neurotic person at the front desk blamed everything on her non-existent manger passing it off on him to say he ordered her to do it and it was a regular procedure. Which of course if you have traveled outside of this hotel you know it is not. Carol yells at you on the phone and threatens to cancel your reservation. Even though she cannot recall putting you on hold for 15 minutes and forgetting about you. They charged my card wrong and unlawfully then proceeded to call me rude and yell at me on the phone. Carol, the clear dimmest light of this place, hung up on me five times. The manager will not call you back no matter how many messages you leave him. I honestly believe it is a lie, he does not exist. The insane are running the asylum. I have filed a complaint with IHG Corporate and have contacted my bank to report fraud. And all of this for over $200 a night not including taxes and fees.

Bill is a boss in the kitchen. The homemade granola and lavender peach 2nd course were our two favorite things! If you plan to take it easy at the b&b one evening, go grab takeout brisket from Trinity in Dalton or truffle shiitake pizza from Ellijay Wood Fired Pizza and bring it back up the mountain. One of the best nights we had was eating pizza and playing giant Uno in the common room. [the giant Uno is in the basket to the left of the common room's fireplace!] Be sure to take a left when leaving the b&b so that you can see the INSANE views!! The road down the mountain to the left is SO beautiful! Things to Consider: -A more size inclusive option for the robe. My husband looked so cozy in his robe and I was disappointed that the size large was a bit too small for me. Having a few plus size robes on hand might be something to consider. Having a spot in the room's notebook that mentions larger robes are available upon request would help curvier guests feel that much more welcome & included :) -A way to text or send a message to Bill or Nicole when we have a quick question :) Thanks so much for having us Bill & Nicole! So, it was certainly a bonus that this little cat showed up just a couple of weeks prior to our arrival. We enjoyed looking for Tux outside and spoiling him a bit each day. Tux has found a great home and will be living his best life! If I come up to this area again, I definitely will stay at this facility The only thing I would suggest is putting more towels in the bathrooms. And also the thermostat in our room was not working so we can tell what the temperature was.
