The reason I would choose this company again is because they care about the trees and won't cut them if they are healthy and not posing any issues. In my situation I had to get the fire department and my HOA to agree this tree was hanging over my roof about 80%, and this was the area we needed to install the ac unit. So we had full approval and Micks tree service was absolutely professional, and had all this crazy cool equipment that got this tree down safely. They cleaned up all the debris so well! They also offer to cut the logs if you choose for an additional small cost. So I was able to keep some and give some to friends in need. It hurts me to cut any tree, but sometimes it's necessary. Very professional. Got exact quote written out. The crew did an incredible job. Experts in their fields. Removed trees for fire mitigation. Referred them to my neighbors as well. We are all very happy. Tree removal is a high liability endeavor: for the crew, for property, etc. It requires trucks, lifts, shredders, etc. It's a big deal. Big crew here all day. very happy with this service. Initially Mick himself did the estimate walking through our 5 acre lot discussing fire mitigation. When the crew came, they were professional and really, very efficient. They left the yard well cleaned up removing extra branches, etc. I was able to keep part of the wood chips. I didn't want them all to do some mulching, etc. The price was reasonable and they're clearly well equipped with multiple tools and machine machines. I have an elderly Navajo willow that Mick has pruned and kept going a couple of times-- about every ten years he looks it over and gives it a solid haircut and on it goes. I was extremely impressed by Mick's Tree Service! I had a TALL Ponderosa that was leaning so much that I was fearful of it falling in a strong wind or in unusually wet weather. Mick's responded right away. They came with a huge "cherry picker," a "log grabber," and a heavy- duty chipper. They finished the job in less than one day and left no trace. From start to finish this was a job well done. Mick and team came by to look things over for us last year. We bought a home in Flagstaff that had years of what I considered "deferred maintenance" when it came to trees. A very thorough inspection and detailed estimate was provided, and plenty of time was spent walking the property and making sure we understood what was needed. Fast forward to this week, when the crew of Keith, Christina and Kevin came by, ready for work with the heavy artillery. These are truly professionals who care about their work, you can tell by just watching them. I can't say enough about the great job they did. Trees that should have been taken down years ago and lots of de-limbing was done, along with stumps being ground. Other than the much better trees and loads more sunlight we now get, you would never know they had been here. Everything, and I mean everything, was cleaned up/picked up before they were done. We are so pleased with the results, and I'm sure our trees are, too, now that they're being properly cared for. We know the work could have been done for less by an unqualified and cheaper provider, but the adage of, "You get what you pay for" really shows here. Mick promptly came out to the house when we requested a quote, inspected the pine trees on our property, and recommended three dead trees for removal (the reason we called him). In addition, he recommended removal of two trees that were in danger of falling should Flagstaff experience sever heavy wet snow conditions in the future. If one of these two trees fell, it's likely they would hit the house. Mick quoted what we felt was a fair price, and promised to get all five trees down before snow. He did. It's a bit hard to even tell where the trees used to be. In addition, because we couldn't be present when the work was done, he sent us a photo of his "spider" working in the yard. Wow! I can't say enough great things about Mick and his company. I called him out for an estimate for a what I would consider a "vanity" trim job so our guests could see Mount Elden from our back porch. While he was here Mick did a walk around the property to see what other trimming needs we might have and pointed out a real life/safety issue with a tree that was way to close to our chimney and actually dangerously growing over the top of the chimney. I was floored and thankful at the same time. He was able to fit us in his schedule right away and sadly removed the tree AND did the rest of the trimming at the same time.
