I keep coming back here because the expertise is matched by compassion. Don't be put off by the location, the good quality of work they do has been consistent and reliable for me for well over a decade. They began misrepresenting the condition of their work, claiming they had driven the car and the issue persisted, which required them to keep the car for the weekend. After two days, they finally called to inform me that the timing chain had failed, resulting in catastrophic engine failure and the car won't start. They quoted me $1,800 to fix the timing chain. Frustrated with their dishonesty, I had the car towed. A subsequent diagnosis from the dealership confirmed that the engine is damaged and needs to be replaced.

They will offer expert advise reguarding repairs to your vehicle and they won't jocky you around suggesting repairs that aren't absolutely necessary. Alex helped me replace the master cylinder and slave cylinder in my 2006 Toyota Tacoma when I was having trouble with the clutch. He also helped replace my brakes, rotors and front calipers after I had worn them down beyond repair. He stayed late after the shop's scheduled hours to help get the job done in a timely fashion and get me back on the road. The bottom line is all the work was completed for about one quarter of the cost that LaFontaine Toyota in Dearbron quoted me and the quality of the service preformed is unrivaled; It has been over a year since the service was completed and I have not had any addtional problems since! Knowing that it wasn't the worst thing (and having dual exhaust so that in my uninformed mind that meant 2x the problems) I elected to wait a bit to have it addressed. A couple weeks ago, my brakes decided they'd sing their swan song and contribute to the cacophony. Being a safety issue, I made my appointment to Mr. Muffler. I dropped it off and scurried home dreading the call. It came. Very quickly. The gentlemen was informative, and not even a little bit patronizing as he explained my need for brakes, some exhaust parts (less than I thought) and lo and behold some front end work. (in my caution about my muffler falling off and ensuring the car would stop, I admittedly ignored the hopping of my tire that I noticed now and then.) The man between me and my beloved Hector gently quoted me a price that was higher than I hoped, but very reasonable given the work they had ahead of them. I advised him to go ahead and make him safe and quiet, while silently cursing all the potholes that contributed to this unanticipated repair I desperately needed. In a flash, I received a second call. The car was done. I rushed over to be reunited with my car, and almost tried to start it twice. It was so quiet. No rattles. No rumbles. No squeaks. I drove home happily anticipating celebrating with my poor neighbors that were forced to endure Hector's roar for way too long. Alas, none were outside.
