The school is setup to challenge the scholars to operate with a spirit of Black Excellence. Imhotep has been around for 30 years and is truly a hidden gem in the Atlanta area. This afro centered institution has instilled a sense of pride within my kids and have reminded them through daily affirmations and instruction of their greatness. Black History Month is all year long! Kids learn from Prek to sing the Black National Anthem, recite the Ultimate Student and about the 7 Kwanzaa Principles, and their significance. The teachers, staff and admin work tirelessly to ensure the scholars are stretched to their optimal potential. The PTA is very active and partners with the school to support the greater objective of our institution. I believe the combination of these items working in sync is what makes this village successful.

My little guy and our family love Grow! He started back in March 2020 but was only there for…read moreliterally 9 days before COVID-19 turned our world upside down. During the time that the school was closed to in-person learning, it was decided that there would be a virtual learning option where packets would be available for pickup at the end of the week and all materials and lessons would be in the packet to help guide us clueless parents on what to do. There were bi-weekly zoom calls with my son's teacher, Ms. Jasmine, and I appreciated all of her guidance during that time and how easy it was to communicate with her. When the discussion started regarding whether or not the school would open for in-person learning, I loved that there was a townhall meeting for all parents/guardians to ask questions and voice our concerns. We received very detailed communication about how things would look when, and if, school reopened and this helped calm my fears a lot. Now that in-person learning has been back in session for more than a month and a half, I must say that I truly feel everyone has done a wonderful job keeping our little ones safe. The class sizes are super small (of which I absolutely love) and my son's teacher is just the sweetest and the best teacher I could ask for. This little 21-month-old is a ball of energy and she keeps him busyyyyy and updates us with things that he is doing in class and I never wonder whether or not he's okay because she is always reaching out letting my husband and I know what he's doing/has done in class. The skills that he has learned in this short period back has been amazing and being someone who loved her Montessori based education as a child, I am thrilled and sooooo thankful to have Grow Montessori. If you're looking for childcare that is literally going to help your child grow, and a staff that is truly compassionate, kind, devoted to the children they serve, this is the place for you.

If you love your child(ren) you would not send them here. There were so many red flags I don't know…read morewhere to start. I enrolled my 2 year old daughter here in January 2024 and this school is just below par all around. Too much idle time when the kids aren't learning, the teachers play cocomelon on iPads for them to keep them distracted, my daughter is starving if I don't pack her supplemental food (they require a doctor's note for this), and my daughter was sick with a fever every other week because it's clear they do not properly sanitize the rooms (very evident because her classroom floor was always sticky, classroom always smelled like poop and while they don't want parents walking into the classroom, when I did I noticed how filthy the potty is that all the kids use on rotation.) I immediately put my daughter on the Primrose waitlist and when she finally got a spot (started on June 2nd and writing this review as of 7/28 today) for two straight months my daughter has not gotten sick ONCE. The icing on the cake for me was when my daughter had some bad questionable bruises in her private areas with no explanation from faculty or staff. Promises for an investigation never occurred and there are too many grown men that work there for my comfort level. When I unenrolled my daughter the director had the audacity to ask me via email why I am unenrolling my daughter and to provide feedback on how they can improve. After ignoring all of my complaints and requests for answers on my daughter's bruises?? After ignoring requests to actually teach them a balanced curriculum instead of dancing and mindless playtime all day and watching cocomelon? Even the teachers tell you to run. Attached is a photo of a note that my daughter's former teacher put in my daughter's bag on her last day listing reasons why I should call state on KRK. If that wasn't a tall tell sign to get up on out of there I don't know what is! My daughter is now thriving at primrose, is in a great mood at pick up and sometimes doesn't want to leave, her vocabulary is outstanding, she has not gotten sick yet, she has learned so many good manners (which by the way she used to hit us due to the behavior she learned from the caliber of kids that attended KRK cascade) I mean it is a complete 180. If you love your kids, send them somewhere else!

My child was enrolled at kids r kids cascade for less than 2 weeks. One day she had an accident right when I dropped her off and when I picked her up at the end of the day she was still wearing the same clothes. She was never changed even though she had plenty of extra clothes at the center in her cubby. On 2 separate occasions she came home with bumps on her head. I was never told if she fell or had any sort of incident that caused them. Everyday since she has been attending this daycare she comes home terribly hungry which leads me to question what was happening at meal times. The center functions as an assembly line. The environment is very unwelcoming. They seem to be understaffed and overwhelmed. There is no time for questions at drop off or pick up because there is always a long line of other parents waiting for their children to be taken care of. It is also rare that someone picks up the phone when you call. I was informed that if my child was late (dropped off after 9:30am) she would need a doctors note. When I dropped her off late with a doctors note, I was told the note was not accepted and she would not be admitted for the day. I was not given a reason. I am not argumentative so I left that day and never looked back. My child attended Kindercare in Houston, TX from age 3 months- 22 months prior to moving to Atlanta, GA this past month. Their care is exceptional. Even though it will be a longer drive, this is where I will take her again. I highly recommend KinderCare. Do not bring your child to Kids R Kids Cascade. As loving mother, a physician, and a humane citizen, I urge you to find a better facility for your most precious gift, your child. Do not be fooled by their website or appearance. It's not worth it.
