If I could give this review zero stars I absolutely would. If your child is advanced or doesnt fit…read morein SAE's standard or box steer clear from this school! Seriously, don't do it. We were new to Georgia when we first joined SAE. We were originally told our child would be placed in Pre-K 4 even though their birthday is after the September 1st cutoff. Imagine our surprise after they took our money and we signed a contract that they put our child in Pre-K 3. Their excuse was we need to see if they can adapt to the SAE way. Thats fair enough, but they never moved our child to Pre-K 4, even after they passed all of their assessments. Nonetheless, she had a good teacher and the teacher tested her and stated she definitely should be in Kindergarten and not Pre-K for the upcoming fall school year. This we already were aware of since we work with our children at home. We had a meeting with the SAE administration and they refused to move our child to Kindergarten. Mind you our child wouldn't be the only child who has been moved up and this is a private education system. We are paying for it so the reasons that were given weren't justifiable. They wanted us to try the Pre-K 4 program since its equivalent to public Kindergarten( their words not mines) and then evaluate the move to Kindergarten. That failed miserably as an incident took place with the pre-k 4 teachers that prompted our immediate removal of our child all together. "When we called the pre-k 3 teacher that we had the previous school year, she stated she was glad we were done with that place and although the incident is unfortunate I'm glad your child is no longer there". Those are very concerning words coming from a teacher/staff member. All in all it has been such a blessing in disguise! After leaving SAE, we weren't sure what direction to go in as far as childcare since we knew our child was too advanced for childcare center or daycare. So we looked into homeschooling and co ops. Prior to placement they tested our child and they tested on a 1st grade level! Here we are advocating for our child to be in kindergarten and we should have been advocating for 1st grade! Imagine if we would have stayed at SAE. We would be doing a disservice to our child as they would be in Pre-K 4 and not learning on the level they should be. Again if your child operates outside of the standard or on an advanced level do not send your child to SAE. Just for safety concerns alone, dont send your child here. Always ask your child how their day was and listen to them. Actively listen to them, had we not done so our child would still be here. Thank God our child spoke up!

My son thrived since Day 1. He was always excited to go to school and was full of joy when I would pick him up in the afternoon. He began pronouncing words much better, he began pausing to think before speaking and would tell me to say YES, not huh or yea. What I like about Smart Toddlers is they keep you up to date about what is going on with your child and they are interactive with the learning they teach at the school. Their team is united and they get along very well. What I enjoy the most is that my son is happy. If I didn't need full time care I wouldn't have removed my son from the school. They really have become our family and I recommend them highly.

Although, we have been gone almost 3years he misses the school and staff. Therefore, when time permits we make visits and give updates on how well he is doing in his elementary school. Another great thing to mention, is the setting was so intimate with in the classes it allowed for building life long friendships. If your interested in a school whose curriculum is appropriate and challenging, coupled with a community setting to develop your child's character you should certainly consider The Harmony School of Decatur.

Grow Montessori gave my son (Heir) a foundation I'm endlessly grateful for. Thank you to Tracey,…read morethe owner, for building something so intentional... and to Ms. Taren in the toddler program and Ms. Liz and Mrs. Savannah in primary. Each of them was instrumental in his development, and the community they foster is what truly sets this school apart. The proof: my son is now in pre-K elsewhere at a school he loves, and he still talks about his Grow teachers and friends and asks to see them. When I asked if he'd want to go back, he said he loves his new school but he really, really loves his Montessori school. This is a kid who, asked whether he'd rather go out with mommy or daddy, always says "both." He doesn't pick favorites. So that meant something. Thank you, Grow Montessori, for the lasting mark you left on our family.

During the time that the school was closed to in-person learning, it was decided that there would be a virtual learning option where packets would be available for pickup at the end of the week and all materials and lessons would be in the packet to help guide us clueless parents on what to do. There were bi-weekly zoom calls with my son's teacher, Ms. Jasmine, and I appreciated all of her guidance during that time and how easy it was to communicate with her. When the discussion started regarding whether or not the school would open for in-person learning, I loved that there was a townhall meeting for all parents/guardians to ask questions and voice our concerns. We received very detailed communication about how things would look when, and if, school reopened and this helped calm my fears a lot. Now that in-person learning has been back in session for more than a month and a half, I must say that I truly feel everyone has done a wonderful job keeping our little ones safe. The class sizes are super small (of which I absolutely love) and my son's teacher is just the sweetest and the best teacher I could ask for. This little 21-month-old is a ball of energy and she keeps him busyyyyy and updates us with things that he is doing in class and I never wonder whether or not he's okay because she is always reaching out letting my husband and I know what he's doing/has done in class. The skills that he has learned in this short period back has been amazing and being someone who loved her Montessori based education as a child, I am thrilled and sooooo thankful to have Grow Montessori. If you're looking for childcare that is literally going to help your child grow, and a staff that is truly compassionate, kind, devoted to the children they serve, this is the place for you.

This school has been such an amazing place for our kids and an incredible community for our entire family. The play-based learning and conscious discipline approach has given our kids a great start, and we have loved the opportunity to be involved every step of the way. We've made life-long friends and strong connections to the local community that we'll carry with us even after we leave the school!

Love this school. I'm a nerd so I created a spreadsheet of 25 Atlanta intown preschools, went on…read moretours at 6 or 7 of them, and submitted applications to 3. Got my kid into all 3, and chose IPCP. Why did we choose it? The co-op approach. It's not for everyone -- you might just want a transactional relationship with your preschool, you do you -- but I was looking for a place where I could feel more involved. The coolest way to get involved is as a Parent Helper -- 1 day per month you get to (have to) work as a teacher's helper in the classroom. That's a lot of fun, you get to see what your kid is doing all day, and you learn a few new songs. Also love the outdoor focus - unless it's pouring, kids spend almost half their day outside, which I think makes my son happier and less cranky. The biggest downside is that they have limited space. So may Lady Luck be on your side.
