We felt like we were in someone else's home. Someone who had a lot more money than us! Martins isn't just a builder, or a designer. He's an artist. When you bring someone into your home to change it forever, you have to trust that person. When Martins came by for our first free consultation (something other people had charged us for), he stayed for two hours. He wanted to get to know us, and figure out exactly what kind of home we wanted. To say he cares about his work is an understatement! Other people we looked at charged us for that first visit, came in, took measurements, were out in 30 minutes, and then provided some cookie-cutter recommendations. Besides his off-the-charts talent, he is honest, flexible, responsive and easy and fun to work with... not to mention reasonable. I have an eclectic taste in furniture that Melinda was not only able to find great pieces for she was able to make them all work together. The aspects I found most useful were: * She found a custom furniture maker that not only saved me money, it was cheaper than similar store items, but I also got EXACTLY what I wanted. * She found very cool, chic multi-use furniture I didn't know existed * Melinda transformed my place from a white wash to a palette of subdued, exciting colors that enhance the vibe and pleasure of being home. * she's flexible on what she provides, she'll did anything from picking out paint colors to actually doing the shopping and even picked some items up from the store and delivered them. Melinda is the best! * She's is very sensitive to price considerations and comes up with options across the cost spectrum. * Melinda is very creative, she had ideas and suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of in a billion years. She incorporates so many elements seamlessly, like color, finish, texture, style. * She makes it fun and easy... not sure how, but she completely eliminates the stress and makes it fun! * I had a problem with some furniture I ordered, endless delays on delivery. Even though Melinda had finished my place several weeks earlier she got on the phone and a few days later I had my couches and a discount! Melinda took away every unpleasant aspect of the process and I actually enjoyed myself. And even better... I love my new apartment! So does everyone who sees it. I highly recommend Melinda.

Melinda walked in and immediately began to do an assessment of my apartment...her wheels were turning before I even said a word. She then got to know me and a little bit about my personality over some chai tea and scones. Melinda was able to re-arrange and mix some of my existing furniture with some new pieces...thus making everything look new. Then, with the right colors, my loft was transformed. I couldn't believe how warm and at home I felt after Melinda's work was complete. She transformed my loft in a weekend!
