I started taking singing lessons with Michelle when I had no experience whatsoever. Over the past year, Michelle has taught me healthier techniques, while respectfully pushed me out of my comfort zone. She is very encouraging, patient, and fun! I'm grateful I started my journey with her, and I'm very excited to see how much more I can improve with her mentorship. read more

I've been taking lessons with Michelle for over a year. I went in as a karaoke singer, and am now fronting a Journey tribute band(couldn't even get through one song before taking lessons), with several 2hr+ shows under my belt, and many more projects/shows to come. Without her, this wouldn't have been possible. Beyond technical ability though, Michelle has taught me to embrace my true voice..and has given me a belief in myself that I had lacked for so long. read more

I genuinely love music & singing and I always wanted to improve the voice that I have. This year, I decided to be brave and challenge myself! It's been a month of taking classes with Lily, the Associate Instructor/Vocal Coach, and I've loved it so far! Every lesson is fun and very personalized to my goals and vocal range/abilities. I have yet to have the pleasure to meet Michelle but we've communicated via call/text and she is so kind and helpful with scheduling and checking in with me. If you're considering vocal coaching, I highly recommend checking out this studio. They're knowledgeable, skilled, and also make learning fun & approachable! read more

Michelle is a wonderful vocal coach! I am a very beginner adult student with a lot of struggles putting myself out there. My goals are to become more confident singing in front of others (even just for fun) and learning to sing with *my* voice. Michelle is incredibly patient and understanding as we work through technique, confidence, and vulnerability. I am continuing to grow and learn as I follow Michelle's guidance and practice everyday. I highly recommend her as a coach & teacher :) read more

I've been taking piano and vocal lessons with Michelle for over a year now. She's really easy to work with and her lesson structure is well thought out. It's really important to get feedback in person from a teacher so they can correct/adjust you in real-time before picking up bad habits! I've been to one of her student showcases and it's apparent that her students put the work in, love her, and that she is a great teacher! Lastly, she does remote lessons now which is very convenient! read more

I've been taking lessons from Michelle for over a month now and she has worked wonders on my voice! She has taught me to use and explore my instrument in ways that I never had before and is with me every step of the way to make sure I'm doing it safely. The songs that had wiped me out in the past are becoming easier and sounding better with every lesson and it makes singing in general so much more enjoyable. Even singing in the shower has gotten exponentially more fun. Michelle is so observant, patient, and knowledgeable. I always leave the studio excited to sing again! read more

Michelle goes above and beyond as a vocal teacher/coach--she's encouraged my daughter to dig deep to write songs and pursue a music career. My 11 year old son has been taking voice lessons with Michelle for over three years now and has been enjoying it immensely! We placed him in voice lessons so that he could accompany himself when he plays the guitar. Since she is familiar with many different instruments, including guitar, she is also able to help him with find the key that fits him best for each new song that he learns. She holds recitals for her students twice a year so that they are able to experience performing in front of a live audience which is great! The first time my son did it he was extremely nervous but has since gotten a lot more comfortable. Michelle is extremely talented and patient. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is considering jumping into music! read more

Michelle has really helped me with voice control, range, and stamina. The weekly exercises are extremely helpful, giving me the confidence to push myself performing. I can't say enough about her dedication to her students and her friendly supportive teaching style. read more

Michelle is wonderful! My daughter has been taking lessons with her weekly for about three years now. First of all, I was impressed with the time that Michelle took to get to know her, she is really great with students of all ages. Secondly, we started to see the fruits of her labor after the first few lessons when she was already playing a song on her Ukulele. Michelle helped us to pick out the correct instrument, and the needed accessories and was conscientious of the price of those items as well. Third, my daughter kept improving and Michelle also worked with her on vocal which was needed. This past summer, my daughter played for us around the campfire and we received loads of compliments. She also played in her school talent show and I had so many people come up to me asking for Michelle's contact info! I would not hesitate to refer her to anyone! Now, my daughter has decided to graduate to acoustic guitar and just like last time, Michelle was there to help guide me through the equipment purchases and is teaching her so many songs, both current and classics! There are concerts a few times a year. Covid hasn't limited their lessons at all, Michelle is equally great over Facetime and we even participated in a virtual holiday performance! I highly recommend MV Music! read more

1000% happy to be working with Michelle! Started 3 months ago in June with no formal training, just singing in the car and the occasional YouTube voice lesson. I was able to discuss my goals with Michelle, one goal being "I'd like to find MY voice, instead of mimicking other voices." I could tell she tailored every lesson to improving my voice based on what I needed personally. After 3 months, I have more confidence singing publicly and I feel more comfortable that I'm singing with good technique and developing MY voice. She's encouraging and supportive and I'm am excited every week for her feedback on songs I've been writing and practicing. Make sure to do your vocal exercises everyday!!! Thank you Michelle for all the support and training! read more

Here is a review of MV Music from my 9 year old: I have been taking weekly piano lessons with Michelle for four and half years and she is very good! She is very positive, so when I get a note wrong she says ways to improve. She also isn't very mean to you when you get a note wrong. When you want to learn a new song she gives you suggestions on what song to play, and she isn't at all bossy. Another thing that I find helpful is that she can teach rock and classical songs. She is very nice, kind, thoughtful, and caring. This is why I very much recommend Michelle as a piano teacher! read more

My son has been taking piano class for almost 7 years with Michelle, well....since he was 6. He has learned and enjoyed so much in her class. Michelle has the patience, knowledge, skills and dedication to instruct a student at any age. She is gentle, kind and fun, but still she is able to keep a student focused in the learning materials. It's amazing to see my kid growing in his piano skills, and his connection to the piece of music he's playing. Michelle also holds recitals a couple of times a year, it's a great place for my shy boy to be out of himself and overcomes his fear of making mistakes. I would highly recommend Michelle to anyone who wants to give a try in music. read more

I just started taking piano lessons with Michelle and I absolutely love her! As an adult learning something new, I tend to get impatient when I don't get it right away and give up. But thanks to Michelle's patience, encouragement and top notch instruction, I have stuck with it and am doing much better than I could've thought! She's very professional yet super sweet and she is very very good at what she does. We also started singing lessons which I am also really looking forward to what she can teach me. You definitely want Michelle as your teacher or your child's teacher. She's the best!! Thanks Michelle so glad I found you! read more

after being quarantined for a few weeks, i thought it would be a good time to learn/fine tune some musical skills. i found michelle and saw that she offered remote lessons for piano, voice and songwriting. it's been great- i wasn't sure how remote lessons would go but i actually like it! i've dabbled in piano and vocals before, but not songwriting, so it's been really great to learn something new and she's been a great & patient teacher. it's hard to find a good teacher that you will stick with, i highly recommend Michelle. read more

Awesome teacher. Super talented and very patient with all of the students. Michelle has a great personality and is very talented.

No question about it; Michelle has been critical in helping me to become a better singer and I am only continuing to grow each and every lesson! While I had been singing for some time before I started with Michelle, I never felt like I had full control of my voice and knew that I had some issues that were really holding me back from where I wanted to be. She is SO knowledgeable and attentive that even via Zoom, she is helping me iron out kinks I didn't even know were there and I am truly filled with a little bit of happiness every time I sing because I can tell I am getting better and breaking through previous plateaus. Cheers Michelle and thanks! read more

My daughter started singing and learning the piano with Michelle over a year ago and she absolutely loves the time she has with Michelle (even the online sessions we now due to do Covid). The improvement I've seen in my child with her vocal abilities is astounding. She has not taken to the piano as much as her singing and I am so grateful for Michelle's patience and determination to get her playing. I am also so impressed with the recitals that Michelle puts on - super impressive and my daughter so enjoyed singing with a band supporting her. I really feel fortunate to have found Michelle and we look forward to many years of lessons with her. read more

Michelle has helped me with my musical career in so many ways: I started off taking vocal lessons with her where she helped me grasp a more proper technique, particularly in the higher notes for my vocal range. She gave me a ton of warmups that have really aided me before shows or recording sessions, as well as tips to help preserve my voice in the long run. As a songwriter she has also taught me much, helping me to better arrange songs, learning what can make a song more memorable to listeners, and even collaborating with me to create new music. On top of all of this, she is FANTASTIC at coming up with harmonies, something that has really helped me in my own recordings. Michelle is a great teacher with a strong understanding of music; she is reliable, helpful, and a joy to be around. read more

I recommend MV Music to my friends, family and anyone who is interested in taking music lessons. read more

We love having Michelle as our daughter's ukulele and voice teacher. She is incredibly patient and encouraging with my 7 year old. Since young children are especially impressionable, it is so important for their teachers to be good role models in addition to being engaging teachers. Michelle is on time, 100% focused on her student, and warm. Singing for others can feel very vulnerable, and Michelle creates a safe and comfortable environment for her students. We adore her and if you are looking for an exceptional music teacher, you are at the right place! read more

My daughter absolutely loves her music lessons with Michelle! She has been taking voice lessons with Michelle for over two years now and her vocal skills continue to improve with every lesson. In addition to voice, she's done piano, ukulele, and recently started song writing with Michelle. Michelle is extremely patient and always game for whatever aspect of music my daughter wants to learn next. She has really motivated my daughter to continue exploring her musical abilities. No one else in our family is musically inclined so we truly appreciate the time our daughter is able to spend with Michelle learning music and evolving as a musician. We are currently doing online classes due to Covid and Michelle makes them just as fun and productive as in person! MV Music is the best! read more

Our daughter started lessons with Michelle during the pandemic via Zoom for piano and voice. She was able to connect well with our daughter immediately. Now that she is doing in-person lessons, we see even more growth and improvement. Michelle is very good at assessing a student's abilities and interests and adjusting her lessons accordingly. She is always kind, friendly and patient with our daughter and makes the lessons fun, yet challenging. Michelle has vast music experience, excellent skill and enthusiasm which makes our daughter want to learn from her. Within the last year, our daughter participated in 2 (virtual) performances that she really enjoyed and just completed an incredible rock band summer camp that was the highlight of our daughter's summer. Highly recommend MV Music to students of all ages and skill levels. read more

Michelle has been my daughter's voice teacher for several years now. Michelle both encourages her and challenges her during each weekly lesson and it's been such a pleasure to see my daughter grow in her talent to sing over the years.
