Why take a bottle home and risk my dodgy cellaring options (in a box under my bed) when I can just pay an extra $20 on the current vintage price and get something with 10 years of age on it already? Brown Brothers is huge and while I don't necessarily enjoy a lot of their "mainstream" drops (the stuff that is made to fly off the shelves at every single bottle-o across the country) some of their more experimental grape styles are bangin'. The prosecco and sparkling are some of the best produced in Australia. I admire the focus on family and tradition here and like that even for a short visit I'm made to feel like I'm part of that extended family by the warm and welcoming staff.

Newly established (less than a year) it's very modern and fresh inside...service is terrific. I had the fried bocconcini for a starter - yummo!! My main of the beef check was a little less impressive, standard flavour and slightly dry - but as like my dining buddies all the servings were huge! Looking back, I should have gone with my first choice of the pork.
