Let's go hear some love!!

This is road Atlanta! Been coming here since 03 when I moved nearby and many of my sons friends will work paddock or other jobs. Petit Lamans this weekend , came for qualifying and should be a great race. It's always packed here so be patient and aware of traffic and where to park . Great motor head location, eat first - water is not cheap so come enjoy the fun. Used to come here in the 80s for rock concerts and smaller races but iconic either way! Come now before they ban combustion engines !!

I have been to other tracks around the world. So far this track leads them all in customer service, staffing, fan appreciation, cleanliness, and every other aspect that I observed. Although the team I was routing for did not win the race, it was by far the best track experience I have had. Everything was top notch. Every staff person I encountered was friendly, and eager to help with whatever was needed. One exception was a rude parking attendant who clearly had no idea what he was doing. The parking issue was quickly resolved once we talked to the staff inside. I would recommend this venue for families and individuals as well.

I love Road Atlanta. It is for sure one of my favorite race tracks in all of the United States. The first time I visited Road Atlanta was in 2004 for the inaugural event of the Formula Drift Championship. I've been back many times since. So many great memories were made at this track. I actually like the restaurants in the area too, although there aren't many. Cracker Barrel and Zaxby's next to the freeway exit are pretty legit if you don't want to go to Waffle House. Anyway, I stumbled upon this SUPER COOL video from a Can-Am race in 1972 at Road A. The vibe at the track in the 70s looked so cool! I have been going to Road Atl for years and it has gotten so much better in the last few. The facilities have been upgraded, roads paved, easy access to the garages, open access to the cars the hour or so before the race, Petit LeMans, they even offer shuttle service to help get around the infield on race day. With all the improvements the crowds have grown every year, that's good and bad what I really don't like is the expense of parking in the infield. It's $50 per car. This is a ridicules amount. I was just at Daytona Speedway and I only paid $15 for infield parking for 4 days. There is no way Road Atlanta can justify that insane amount. Parking cost almost as much as a Race ticket cost!

By far my favorite trace I have been to in the 2010 season...Its very clean, in the woods and out of the city which is really nice. While our drift session was on break they had Petit LeMans qualifying, that was alot to fun to watch. If you have never been to this track you have to check it out....its an experience, I'm gonna keep this short and sweet

Great access to the cars

The infield offers numerous places to pull up, drop a tailgate, pull out the camping chairs, or lay a blanket down to watch the races.

Although I'm not a racer, Atlanta Dragway also seems like a great place to run your car - plenty of space for trailers, the track and track management seem good. There's not much in the way of food vendors. One walk-up cafe was open with standard, over-priced food. Except for it being a long haul from civilization, a food truck vendor could do well here. Restrooms are clean enough. Parking is orderly field parking (i.e., find a place to park in the grass/dirt lots). Perhaps it's not this way for NHRA events but for the NMRA/NMCA event I attended, there was a lack of direction for the spectators coming in. It's as if they just sell you a ticket and figure their responsibility ends there. I waited in line driving in only to find out when I got near the front that the lane I was in wasn't for spectators. No signs or people to point the way until too late. When I drove out I figured to take the other entrance/exit road but ran into (not literally) a locked gate. Some signs pointing to open exits would be nice. All in all, I got the impression of a pretty cool drag strip where the facility managers did enough to ensure a great experience for racers and a good one for spectators.

Come check this spot out for a good night of drag show watching...you can even enter to race if you…read morewanted to! I saw some amazing powerful cars, trucks, rods & bikes all racing!

Henry County hosts many free family-friendly events here and there is occasionally a paid event/experience from an external vendor/organization. Our most recent visit was for the county's Hot Summer Fest 2025 (on July 3rd). It included an are show, a drone show, and fireworks, plus games, bouncy houses and water slides before the shows began. We also really love the county's trick or treat event here. This past October (2024) they were doing paid rides on the track so my husband got to take a few high speed spins around the track with a professional driver. Honestly, the speedway seems the perfect location for large festival type events.
