Nothing says Valentine's romance quite like competitive go-kart racing and the mutual agreement…read morethat love means not using your red shells... or in this case, not bumping each other into the barrier. Andretti's in Buford is basically a playground for adults disguised as a sleek entertainment complex. The space feels modern and high-energy, with neon lighting, polished concrete, glowing game zones, and that constant hum of excitement from the arcade floor and track. It's part adrenaline, part date night, and part "we are absolutely children and proud of it." We spent the evening bouncing between arcade games, fully embracing our competitive sides. The ticket machines kept spitting out proof of our triumphs, and after a heroic run of wins, we cashed in for the ultimate symbol of arcade victory: a lava lamp. Nothing strengthens a relationship like carrying a glowing tube of molten nostalgia to the car. The atmosphere is lively without feeling chaotic, making it easy to laugh, play, and celebrate small victories together. Staff were friendly, the games were in great shape, and the entire place runs with the efficiency of somewhere that understands people came to have fun, not stand around waiting. If you're looking for a Valentine's date that swaps candlelight for neon glow and roses for arcade tickets, Andretti's delivers. We left with a lava lamp, sore cheeks from laughing, and the comforting knowledge that our relationship can survive friendly competition.

In the rock climbing line over 5 mins just a lil boy in front of me. When the attendant starts helping unstrap the current climbers the boys gremlin line jumping sister jumps on front of me. Parents adamant they're together she just got out of line. The attendant just lets the demon goblin go ahead but even after climbing, hitting the buzzer, she continues letting them climb for well over 20 mins. I say something at 1st she's acting like she don't know or remember. Huh? They just climbed off, I said something the moment she ran straight past me. she calls a manager and proceeds to tell the manager she was confused she thought they were my kids. Huh? Why would I be upset her jumping in front of me? You stood there while her parents were adamant she was going ahead of me. The managers like I mean I can throw you like $7 on an arcade card which was pretty insulting considering I paid 25 and only did go carts once a $9 value. Rather discouraging makes you not even wanna do anything there at all. Here's a pic of my kid getting to have the fun I paid for though. Sure wish I couldve just got to enjoy my Friday night. But nope. I get to pay for stuff and not enjoy just get screwed.

This was after she scolded me in front of the whole party for looking in the cabinet after she left the room with the lighter for the birthday candles. She was not very personable with my daughter at all and could have told my daughter that she could eat her birthday cake at one of the many other tables / booths in the place. (It was not busy yet at all) I still ended up paying full price for the birthday party but I was offered a game card to spend there as an apology I guess. Wouldn't recommend, and have such better party experiences in less room time elsewhere. Overpriced for such a terrible experience

Which was sad because we were supposed to be there to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. He was excited to try this place out. We drove over an hour to be disappointed. First we walk in an hour after opening on a Sunday, place was empty.......we walk right up to the counter and I tell the girl that I had looked the pricing up online and I knew I wanted to do the 3 race, game card, and k1 membership pass for 3 boys. She gave me a blank stare and then said oh you mean 2 race. Ok. Rude. But ok yeah that. She proceeds to ask the boys had they ever been there before. 1 of my sons friends says yes. So she goes you need to go check him on the computer with a waiver first because he has a membership so you won't pay for that part for him. Here I am thinking oh she is being helpful after being wrong. I smile. We go to computers do the waiver for 1 boy as instructed. We go back to the counter now 2 more groups have come in. We have to wait behind 1 group now since there is only one cashier/check in person although there were at least 5 other staff in the building including a manager. Anyway after we wait for that group to check in. I step back to the counter and THEN she proceeds to tell me oh you didn't do the waiver for the other two. I'm like you told me to do it only for the one that had been here before. So again we step out of line and go BACK to the computers. At this time I'm starting to get annoyed. By this time more people are coming in, so now my boys will have to wait behind several big groups when we arrived before ALL of these people. When I finally get back to the counter.....all boys are checked in. She got RUDE again. And wanted to loudly explain pricing to me and make sure I knew that the boys only got a $10 game card for what I was about to pay. Like VERY loud. I didn't hear her do this with any of the other groups that checked in before us and I hate to say this.......none of them were my complexion. Never once was I rude or matching her volume or tone. We actually walked in that place happy because we were supposed to be celebrating. Well anyway it didn't stop there. Once we got checked no instructions were given on what to do next outside of the girl at the counter giving me my receipt and their game cards. So my boys walked over to where you line up to go on the track and yet another employee was RUDE to them by telling them to back away from the gate and wait for someone to call them. They are EXCITED to be here Jeesh, so then after she yells at them they come over to me saying they not going to let her ruin the joy. They finally get called to race and all the boys are overwhelmed after the employees stopped the cars several time or slowed their speed down all during the race. Then in between their first and second race we went to their "arcade" which only has 12 games......which none of them are less than 40 credits for 1 game. $10 gets you 200 in credits. While one of the boys was in the process of playing a game they got called back for their 2nd race. It was EVEN worse than the first one. We decided to opt out of trying their food and went somewhere else to grab lunch. 0 stars would not recommend.

Fun Spot is a smaller, more affordable amusement park that focuses on straightforward rides and a…read morerelaxed experience compared to the major theme parks. It has a good mix of attractions including multi-level go-kart tracks (one of the main highlights), roller coasters, thrill rides like drop towers and spinning rides, bumper cars, kiddie rides, and arcade-style games. The go-karts are definitely the standout and what the park is best known for. Pricing is much more budget-friendly than big parks. Most visitors can expect either free admission with pay-per-ride options or wristbands that typically range around $50-$80 per person depending on location, day, and promotions. This makes it a cheaper alternative if you want rides without spending theme park-level money. Food and drinks inside are on the higher side, but still fairly standard for an amusement park. Wait times are generally shorter than major parks. On average, most rides are about 5-20 minutes, even during busier times. The most popular attractions like go-karts or certain thrill rides can reach 20-40 minutes during peak hours, but lines still move fairly consistently compared to larger parks where waits can be much longer. Staff were friendly and kept things moving efficiently at ride entrances, and the park overall felt easy to navigate. Parking was also simple and convenient depending on the location. Overall, Fun Spot is a good option if you want a casual amusement park experience with fun rides, shorter wait times, and more affordable pricing without the intensity of bigger theme parks.

It's so absurd that this park has ArieForce One. It's like a 95 year old having a Ferrari…read more This Fun Spot is out in the boonies at the edge of the Atlanta metro area and lacks the happening vibes of the two Florida Fun Spots. Granted it was noonish when I was there but it was Saturday and the place was a ghost town. The layout is pretty odd as well. There's a secondary overflow parking lot on the midway next to a big stockade looking building and other old timey looking facades but most of it looks like a county fair or a family fun center like Barrymore's back home. I got my wristband to ride as much as I wanted for the day, even knowing I had to make it to Cape Canaveral by the end of the night and couldn't spend anything close to a full day here. I made a beeline for the fabled star attraction, ArieForce One. It looks great and a mere station wait was a welcome sight. The first 90% of ArieForce One completely lived up to the hype with an incredible mix of airtime hills, inversions and overbanked turns coming at a breakneck pace. Nothing was breaking my neck though, or causing the slightest bit of discomfort. Then came the series of bunny hills at the end with their violent ejector air. Absolutely killed my thighs whether I was in the front or the rear of the train. Felt like my thighs were getting jackhammered. Now I've ridden several coasters built by Rocky Mountain Construction, the manufacturer of ArieForce One. Iron Gwazi, Steel Vengeance, Twisted Cyclone and Goliath in addition to the one I'm talking about. All had the lapbars with the shin guards that let you go upside down without over the shoulder restraints. I've never had an issue with these RMC restraints on any of their other coasters that I've ridden. I thought I'd ride ArieForce One a dozen times or so. After one ride I went to ride a go kart track. It was okay nothing special. Came back for a second lap on ArieForce One. Once again I needed a break from it after that. I rode the park's other coasters, an unremarkable wild mouse called Hurricane. Hit the bathroom and took pictures of weird murals on the walls by video games and the food court. Came back for a third lap on ArieForce One. Once again it was exhilarating, exhilarating, more exhilarating then excruciating. I know a lot of coaster freaks are over the moon about ArieForce One - about the only other people riding it were maniacal masochists who were walking roller coaster encyclopedias. And I wouldn't mind working my way up to being a walking roller coaster encyclopedia but to be that I need to be able to walk. Love everything about ArieForce One until those bruising bunny hills at the finale. To me that ride is unmarathonable. Fortunately I did need to make good time on the road and I had lots of other fun things planned on this trip and I knew I would be spending a pretty penny so I didn't much mind the cash I sunk into that wristband. This Fun Spot is just so odd and its marquee attraction has a fatal flaw but I'll still give the place three stars. Here's to knowing when to say when.

Such a cool place!…read more I visited the Michelin Raceway recently as my cousin was set to race in the MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest competition. Prior to the invitation to be a spectator, I didn't even know that this place existed but why would I? I'm not a super fan of bikes or racing, I barely like to drive, but I am definitely in the minority as this place was PACKED. I always forget how big and devoted the racing community is. Totally makes sense that the track would need to be in the boonies because they need all of that land that they have, and more! When we arrived, I was incredibly impressed with how organized and official it all was. When you pull in, there are a number of attendants in booths that check your ticket and parking, welcoming you in with your wristband and any other items needed for the event. We then passed another access point with an employee who waved us through. What I wasn't expecting was the insane parking and navigating through the area. Again, there were hundredssss of people there with bikes, trucks, RVs, etc. etc. My sister and I searched for parking but even with help, we still had no clue where the best place to park was. Although we had some sort of special paid parking that we covered in advance, there wasn't any blatant signage that helped us find where we should go. As I was 2 months postpartum upon our visit, the idea of parking back in the woods and walking 2 miles to find our family sounded terrible. At some point I threw caution to the wind and parked in one of the grassy lots that I believe belonged to participants, but I was willing to take the risk, lol. The section where all of the participants and their teams dwell was such a busy area but still well-organized enough that it didn't seem congested. We stood in a grassy area behind the fencing and were able to see the bikers up close and personal as they bended the corner, a high-anxiety moment filled with lots of excitement! Beyond the race itself, there were over a dozen vendors serving up pizzas, sweet treats, beer, liquor and more in the main common area. Along with the bites and bevvies, there was a small carnival-esque area with rides for the kids (and kids at heart) to burn some energy. As this was a family-friendly, 3-day experience, I thought that was such a cool addition. What I noticed most as we walked the grounds was that it was incredibly clean out there! With so many people in town for a multi day event, I'm incredibly impressed that they even had the streets tidy. Although I'm not a racing enthusiast, I really enjoyed my time with my family out here. Beautifully laid out, clean and full of thrills, totally worth the drive from ATL!
