As with any profession, she is running a business and requires payment in order to continue treatment. We come back at 4:15 and no one is in the waiting room yet we wait. 5pm nothing. 6pm and we have yet to see the doctor. This is totally ridiculous. I mean I had waits for an hour sometimes even two but 4 hours and counting? Seriously what the hell!?! The front desk staff just chat away and eat in front of us who are starving. And finally that I can't stand it and I complain about the wait they say oh the doctor had a few emergencies to deal with sorry no one told you. And that's it. I wait more. I finally say I am leaving and I'm going to file a complaint and that's when I got into the actual room to wait for the doctor. Another 30min later the doctor comes in and I am out 25 minutes later. And all her questions were exactly the same as the previous doctors so it was an utter waste of time. Plus the doc says I have to come back again to see her before the surgery for the same thing. OmG why couldn't I do this then? What the hell. My biggest issue here is that I was not informed of any options to see the doctor or go out and come back later or anything! She scolded me not to cry before entering the operation room, not worthy of crying?! while my life and my baby's life were in her hands. Only for a couple hundred dollars more, she wants a surgery instead of natural birth. For an insurance covered procedure, she lied to me its cosmetic, I paid her cash and extra. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.

Dr. Khan sits on the board of LA Care and conveniently the year he got elected into the board 2026, UCLA contracts cut with other medical groups (Healthcare LA IPA) and started a contract with the medical group which he is a part of - LA Care Direct Network. He is the one of 2 PCP's available in the network for LA residents. I wouldn't be calling this out if the patient care was good but this is bureaucracy at the cost of patients.
