At first, I thought I hit the jackpot, little did I know this would become a nightmare. I went to Dr. Claeys about getting a couple of implants. We decided to do four instead. I remember her assistant being hesitate about it but Dr. Claeys assured her everything would be fine. Fast forward, I went for a cleaning at another office and the dentist said all the implants needed to come out because they were incorrectly placed and was going to cause me to lost the teeth beside each of them. I was horrified. Wanting to get a second opinion I went to an implant specialist in Maryland and this is what I was told..... "I don't use the word malpractice lightly but, you have a malpractice law suit on your hands"..... I was told that all the implants needed to come out and so did the teeth beside them. He said the same thing my local dentist said. The implants were incorrectly placed. I have a friend that also got an implant at Dr Claeys office and she just had to spend thousands to fix it.. You know what her dentist told her? The implant was incorrectly placed and caused damage to the two teeth beside it....hummmm....see the pattern? She not only had to have the implant removed but both teeth beside it as well. I have to spend 20K to fix the damage that this dentist has caused. She may be a good general dentist, but if you are smart, stay away from getting implants at her office. read more

I have been going to Dr. Claeys since she opened her practice. She and her staff are great! She always makes me laugh which considering how much I hate going to the dentist is amazing. She is also great with the little ones. My kids have always gone to her and continue to do so into their 30s and now their kids go too. read more

I was concerned about going to get my teeth cleaned because of Covid19. I decided to go after speaking with her office on the measures they were taking to care for their patients. I pulled into a spot that was numbered, then called her office to let them know I was there, and when my chair was ready I was taken straight to it, after filling out a form and temp taken. I was even checked out while in my chair, so I could go straight back to my car after the cleaning. The office was so clean, extremely clean. I felt comfortable having it done. Dr. Claeys practice has been absolutely amazing to me. They have helped me through so much with my mouth and Michelle was always kind, she actually listened to what I had to say and helped me. This is the best dentist in the CSRA. Such a great staff who always makes you feel welcome. The office is decorated most beaitifully with a great area for children to play. With many services offered and reasonable hours you can't go wrong. I have and will continue to see Dr. Claeys and her office. read more

I'm so excited to provide this review! I'm new to the area, I had an urgent issue and no dental coverage! I found Dr. Michelle via Google, and after calling several practices and being told I'd have to wait at least a week to be seen, I was able to get an appointment 2 days later for a reasonable fee. The experience was amazing from the moment I walked in the door; the receptionist was very kind, I was seen before my appointment time, and Dr. Michelle had my tooth fixed with no discomfort whatsoever and left me with the some very valuable life lessons! The energy in that office was very familial and welcoming. I will definitely go back should I ever need any services and she will be my first recommendation to anyone who asks. read more

I was treated very poorly when I went in for a consultation and x-rays. Dr Claeys spoke to me as though I was a recalcitrant teenager (I'm 35), being rude and unkind, to the point both assistants present looked uncomfortable. She looked at my x-rays for about 5 seconds, and then proceeded to sit down and berate me for the next ten minutes. She told me that if I didn't have my teeth immediately yanked out (I'm allergic to titanium so implants are out, I already know this, having done a lot of research on the subject because of my allergy), that should my kidneys fail, that I would not be allowed to have a transplant, that they would not save my life. Because my gum disease was apparently so bad. Never mind the number one concern with gum disease is heart problems. She ignored the fact that I have a massive overbite (3/4in or greater distance between upper and lower teeth), which also ignored the fact that I have dry mouth because of it, which I've been struggling with for fourteen years. When she was finished berating me for the condition of my mouth and teeth, I was so stunned by her "blunt" attitude I had nothing to say. Her response? "That's a quiet face, that's a quiet face isn't it?" then she jabbed me sharply in the nose with one finger, and said "TALK TO ME." I told her it wasn't something I wanted to hear, of course, but it was what I'd expected, (she also attempted to force me to look into my mouth with the mirror, and I told her no, I knew what was going on in there), and I was going to have to discuss it with the person financing my dental issues. She also spent some of the time "discussing" my teeth, yanking my bottom lip around and randomly stabbing violently at my teeth with a latex glove covered finger (most of these things she could have told by the x-rays instead), while ignoring me and talking to the assistant about how it was impossible to give me bridges with the state of my mouth. She also told me I had so much bone loss (which was not at all evident in the x-rays, trust me, I saw them) that if i didn't hurry up and get them fixed immediately, I wouldn't have bone to put dentures on. (Never mind I can comfortably chew and have only one loose tooth, this sounds like my mouth is a wasteland and it's not. I do have reddish "puffy" gums but I've had that since I was a kid and visiting the dentist regularly, it's natural. I have a few cavities and probably a bit of gum disease because of the dry mouth, but it's not like they're rotting out of my head) Considering numerous people lose their teeth regularly and eventually get dentures despite worse oral conditions than mine, I highly doubt that's even possible. When I went for the discussion of the dentures afterward, while looking over at the "payment plan" which is just "we will pull out what teeth you want each time you can afford it, but we'll leave the fronts, and then when you come in for dentures, we'll take those and you'll have dentures" which means being able to drop $4000 in one go so you're not toothless. Not much of a payment plan... The worst part was that the assistant talking to me, when I curiously asked if it would correct my overbite (I was meanwhile fighting tears over this), she told me of course it would, and she told me that they could make me beautiful with my dentures. Yep, implying that I'm ugly without. Thanks. I already have horrible self-esteem, in part because of this, and I've been fighting fear of tooth loss and fear of the dentist for years and years... and this awful treatment. So I paid for my x-rays and left. I will NOT be going back, I will NOT be recommending her to ANYONE, and frankly, I wouldn't be surprised if this review drops off of the internet, seeing as the only reviews on google are 100% positive (despite hearing her scolding someone rudely for not wearing some dental appliance). I'm not sure where I found that single poor review, but I should have listened to them instead of the good ones. read more

Overall great experience. Came here for teeth whitening. Was charged fairly reasonable price (same as up everywhere else). Personnel is friendly. The only complaint I have is their time management. When I got here, I was given a form to sign which states that If I arrive late, I will be charged $15 for each 5 minutes that i am late (or something among those lines). Which is fine with me as they are always busy and they don't want me to cost them money. Business is business. However, not a single time I was seen on time. First appointment was 50 minutes later, second appointment 30 minutes. If you expect me to be on time, please do the same. read more

Very disappointed in the dental care my husband received in October 2015. $12,000 spent for a root canal with bridges and periodontal cleaning in October 2015. Pain in tooth that received the root canal was never relieved, a few months later he was still experiencing pain and after another exam he was told the teeth that were ground down for crowns/bridges also needed root canals. I find it hard to believe none of this could have been detected by the previous xrays. Very poor exam/diagnostics as far as I'm concerned for this review due to the fact that she was paid in full yet he is still in pain and will be searching for another dentist. read more

Made an appoint for a second opinion from another dentist who did not do extractions, which he farmed out. . Michele, called me back the same day. Caller was very courteous. Asked me if I could come in that very day. Read the reviews and was impressed. However, when I called back after Michele recommend an extraction as the decay was such that a root canal would not work. Michele had the girl @ the desk give me prices that totaled $1598.00. In small letters it said estimate only. So far, so good.They did not explain how/or what conditions the prices may change. . The several reviews that I read said She got me in right away. The person that answered the phone, in my opinion, could care less. I filled her in that the dentist recommended an extraction. Said did not ask me it I was in pain or how I was. She said, "Lets see where I can fit you in." My call for an appointment was 10/18. The appointment she gave me was Nov 7th, three weeks away, mean while. Three weeks is a long time to wait for a tooth w/ decay. This surprised me as my tooth needs to come out. I will leave this appointment (Nov 7) open until I can find another dentist. To bad about that receptionist that had a bad day or could careless about the patients of Dr Michele. I really liked her. read more
