Love, love, love the Raclette Factory…read more Really wanted to have another Raclette experience while in Switzerland. The first was in Lucerne and we loved it! Walked to the Raclette Factory from our hotel. Sat at a community table with a family from Argentina. They were so sweet. Their eleven year old was so animated and his parents were the sweetest. Fun to talk to them about travel, our mutual love of rollercoasters and science and the recent World Cup. The son loves Lamine Yamal. The dad is Team Messi. Our waiter, Flavio, made the evening our best choice. We really wanted to try a lot of different cheese flavors and combinations, so we had the Raclette All You Can Eat. Choose a couple of cheeses. Plain. Smoke. Garlic. Chili. White Wine. Red Wine. Blue cheese. Goat. Sheep. Truffle. Add toppings. It comes with pickles and pearl onions. Pickles and melted Raclette cheese. Unbelievably delicious. Add more toppings. Small potatoes, bread or mashed potatoes. So good! Started with the truffle and the red wine with the works, potatoes, mashed potatoes and cubes of bread. The truffle was my favorite of the cheeses and both the mashed potatoes and small potatoes were delicious. I think at the end we tried all of the cheeses but the original. We were stuffed!! Thank you to Flavio who really made our experience at the Raclette Factory a highlight of our visit to Zurich. Service was amazing and he gave us great recommendations. Definitely a night to remember.

We were highly recommended this place for fondue, and since trying fondue in Switzerland was on my…read morebucket list, I was excited to finally do it here. Overall, it was fairly good and definitely a fun first experience, but I do think there are probably some more hidden local spots in town that I'd try next time. My fondue was around $50 just for myself, which felt pretty expensive for essentially cheese, but of course, it is Switzerland and this is definitely a touristy spot. Almost everyone around us seemed to be visiting as well. I did really like how many different fondue options they had. There were tons of variations to choose from, including some with meat, although those were even more expensive. The house wine was also really good and paired nicely with everything. I'm glad I tried it once and had the experience, but I'm not sure I'd come back. Next time I'd probably seek out a smaller, more local fondue spot.

I gave this place 3 stars because the food was reasonably priced, considering the fact that this…read moreplace is within Zurich. The interior is clean, the restaurant closes at 11 pm (which suits our later dinner schedule). The restaurant is separated 2 sections, the section to the right of the bar is cheaper than the portion to the left of the bar. Here, each dish comes with a bowl of rice, with the price ranging from CHF 14-22. On the left of the bar, each dish is about CHF 10 more expensive and comes as a traditional plate of food without a side of rice. We ordered 6 dishes to share amongst the 6 of us and the portion was just right. The chef is a Cantonese chef, and the dishes were mostly very well done. We had the stir fried beef with onion (pretty good), sze Chuan pork (very tasty- would recommend it), red cooked fish (which wasn't that good), mushroom chicken with bamboo shoots (pretty good, then bamboo shoots were not foul smelling), char siew pork (wouldn't really recommended it as it came with a funny smell), stir fried pork with mixed vegetables (just ok). Food came out very quickly. They don't serve tap water (so do bring your own water). I would recommend it if you want a decent Chinese meal for the night.

Single best vegetarian restaurant I've been to in my life. I went to two different locations…read morebecause I couldn't believe it was so good. A buffet with fifty or so super fresh offerings at a great price. They say they're the oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Maybe. I'd check China and India.

Yelp Review 2026 #64:…read more I'm not vegetarian and definitely not vegan. But I will dabble with the veg from time to time. Hiltl is popular for being the world's oldest vegetarian restaurant in the world. Here's information I will share that I wish was available before planning to come here. You must make a reservation for lunch/ dinner because that's when they're busy. Breakfast is for walk-ins and they don't do reservations. Hop on their website and be sure you're on the right location because they have several within a 2-mile radius...some on the same street. I went here to try their breakfast buffet. I wasn't sure how busy they got for breakfast so, I got here at 6:30am because I got the wrong information online! They open at 7am. Different locations have different hours. Check their website for actual hours and don't trust review site information because it's wrong! They're not busy for breakfast at all. There's 2 ways to do their buffet. You can pay a fixed price and fill your plate multiple times or go and fill your plate once and pay based on the weight of your food - you get free bread. I did the pay-by-weight option. I have a whole day of eating planned so, I wasn't about to fill up for breakfast. When they opened at 7am, they were still putting the food out one by one. By 7:20, all the food was out which was fine. I was in no rush. The spread includes fresh fruits, cheeses, butter, margarine, cheesecake, chocolate mousse, mango mousse, mango chia pudding, banana chocolate brownie crumble, a pear dessert (with cream, vanilla and orange), rosti, scrambled eggs, potato salad, tomato and mozzarella salad, beets, chickpeas, olives, couscous, corn salad, olives, asparagus, green peas, feta cheese, hardboiled eggs, curry salad, dolmades, broccoli and edamame, artichoke salad, bulgur salad, tabbouleh, orecchiette tofu salad, Thai salad, hummus, guacamole, muhammara, etc. They have 6 types of bread. Slice a piece and toast it yourself. Vegan and vegetarian food tend to taste strongly of coconut/ coconut milk and I don't like that. My favorites from the buffet include chocolate mousse, mango mousse, banana chocolate brownie crumble, dolmades, asparagus, orecchiette tofu salad, and Thai salad. I got a mango lassi to drink which I didn't like. It had curry powder. Service was pleasant. The restaurant was clean.
