If I could give -10 stars, I would. Every single thing about the experience with this doctor's…read moreoffice was terrible. They don't return messages timely, and sometimes not at all. At the first appt., we waited in their cramped, old, cluttered & crowded waiting area (I won't call it a room because it's barely bigger than a closet) for over an hour past our appt. time. This shows they obviously have no regard for their patients' time, which says a lot and shows the true nature of the business, which is clearly only concerned with their profit margin. The dr. himself was ok, not great. Nothing special. He did the procedure that he said he was going to do: an extraction & graft needed to eventually connect the future implant. What really upset me was had they waited even one day to do the graft, our insurance would've partially covered it. As they should know, being a dr's office who works with insurance companies all day every day, insurance co.'s sometimes have seemingly odd rules and regulations. Had they actually contacted the insurance co. for a pre auth, they would've found that out and could've relayed that to us to easily book the extraction 1 day, and the graft anytime after that. Or, perhaps they were aware & decided to withhold it from us... we'll never really know. I paid the almost $1K out of pocket "non-insurance covered portion" on the day of procedure & scheduled a follow up for a week later, just a check up, fine. Then scheduled what was supposed to be -3 mo. follow up to see how the graft was doing. The incompetent front desk scheduler proceeds to book for 7/3, which she should've been well aware that their office is closed for the few days around the holiday - it's literally your main job to schedule appts! Then, because I can do their job better than they can apparently, I called a few days prior to confirm my own appt. (as I was aware that the upcoming holiday may affect the schedule). That in itself is extremely unprofessional for them. Front desk person was extremely confused and put me on hold for a good 5 mins. because she couldn't find the appt. in the books! Then she proceeds to say they're closed that day due to the holiday & because they're so booked up, couldn't reschedule until 1.5 months later!! Good thing I had the foresense to call ahead. Good thing it wasn't a time sensitive procedure that needed to be done! Meantime, I receive a bill for an additional charge that should've been paid by the insurance co. had they coded it correctly. Upon me calling insurance, they said they would pay it if the office simply just corrected the code and resubmitted it. After relaying this to the billing dept., she said she would check with the Dr. & get back to me. Of course, she never did. I sent in a partial payment after realizing that I would not be hearing back from Heather. And, that's the only thing they do fast in this office, is take your payment. Check was cashed in 2 days after mailing it. Then, 12 days after they cashed that payment, they wrote a threatening letter stating that my balance is now $165 more than it should have been. Turns out they included the full amount of the additional x-ray that they took at the last check up, even though they billed that full amount to the insurance co. & the insurance co. PAID IT IN FULL prior to them writing that letter. So they double billed, which I've heard happens more than you'd think in the medical industry, unfortunately. Letter also stated that service charges would be charged if I didn't make a payment within 5 days of receipt. Well, kind of impossible when I didn't even receive the letter for over 2 weeks after the date of the letter & the mail takes 2 days max. This is BS anyway & just a scare tactic... I called the office the day I received the letter & left a msg. for Heather & also tried to reach the front desk or any person there several times that day to no avail. No return call the next morning, so I called the office again & was very surprised someone actually answered. Of course Heather wasn't "available", so I gave the front desk person my credit card no. for the remaining balance, which they had apparently adjusted to the correct much lower amount & no service charges & that's it! This breaks all ties with this incompetent, unprofessional office, for good. Needless to say, I will be going elsewhere to get the actual implant done. I'm honestly very surprised this office remains open & (barely) functioning. Save yourself a huge headache and go elsewhere.
