Excellent framing but very expensive and takes too long! Service guy was extremely knowledgeable about the matting process.

Great store. I had a piece of art reframed. They did a great job. Reasonable. Always find what I am looking for when doing a craft project.

My wife is a Michaels person versus me but she finds what she wants every time which save me hauling her to 10 other places so that makes it a 5 star for me. I sit in the car and she shops so I get some peace and quiet for a while so another 5 star and if she is in so long that I need to use the restroom they have that so another 5 star. All in all if my wife is happy I am happy. read more

My husband took a couple of paintings I had purchased in Brazil to them for framing as my Christmas gift. They managed to put huge creases across the middle of the paintings and claimed that they were there originally (they weren't). They refused to do anything to correct or compensate and now my lovely memoirs from my trip are ruined. If I could give them negative stars, I would. I'm an artist and I purchase frames occasionally at Michael's and set them aside until I need them. I purchased a set of 8.5x11 Logan frames...not sure when I purchased them but definitely beyond the return date. These frames were shrink wrapped together. Well, what a profound piece of crap these frames are. It's not glass, but plastic. There was a tiny black dot in the plastic I couldn't get out and the art that was going into the frame had white against the black dot so it was intensified. The second frame was chipped. The shrink wrap must have kept it together so you wouldn't know it was chipped. I can't tell you how disappointed I am. Particularly that I'm out the cost of the frames and they're going in the trash. I keep forgetting...you get what you pay for. read more

ya know how BIG BOX stores often get a bad rep for being staffed by completely indifferent & inept salespeople? well i must say the staff here are wonderfully professional and hugely accommodating (which given the lack of support chain-wide is rather impressive) earlier today, taylor helped me price out the custom framing of some VERY delicate vintage movie posters (one of which being 50 years old) and while i didn't have them done due to price, he went and found giant cardboard for me so i wouldn't have to fold them back up... now THAT is customer service read more

This is the closest Michael's and I love coming here for the sales and the cake decorating classes. Unfortunately the lines tend to be slow especially when it is busy. Like any Michael's always try to catch the sales. read more

Michael's sell a lot more than just art supplies and artificial flowers, I went in yesterday for some acrylic paints and ended up with a Christmas wreath 36" in diameter for my front door and bought a custom made 48" by 36" frame for a painting I have owned and never framed, if you have never had a custom art frame made to order before, this stuff tends to get pricey, because of the large size it was $790, but they gave me 70% off which brought it to barely over $200. The savings here are great and the staff know what they are talking about, if your an artsy person don't be surprised to end up spending too much money here, its amazing how all the little things can add up! read more

I really like this location of Michaels. It is well organized, completely stocked, & has very knowledgeable & helpful staff. I admit I am a closet sketches & designer & can get lost in this store for hours, just snooping around. I end up spending way too much money & leaving with a wide assortment of goodies. I love to take my prints here & pick my frame & backings. Remember to wait for a sale of framing services, you can get up to 50% off, a substantial savings. Overall a unique store for one & all. Ended up coming here after getting no where at party city on a search for masquerade ball masks. I was pleasantly surprised by the level of customer service. I was personally shown to aisles that had presume masks, other aisles that had mask making supplies, and more. My husband and I went to several stores looking for a suitable travel photo album for our upcoming trip. We wanted something we could use to journal our adventures as well as post photos. So glad we tried Michaels. We met Trace who was super helpful. She was very experienced making memory journals and had many great tips. Another employee found an album in another part of the store and brought it to us too. Even the cashier was great and gave us several discounts on our purchases. I'm glad places like Michael's exists. There is just no way anyone can compare to what Michael's offers in terms of variety of items they carry. Full fledged artists and craftspeople will never leave empty handed as they carry literally everything you would need. Children's craft and art supplies are aplenty, woodworking, sewing, plastic models(testors, Revelle, etc) are all here waiting. Christmas supplies and other seasonal needs can be found here but the real draw is its sheer volume - I have yet to find a time when I needed something in the craft world and did not find exactly what I needed at Michael's..... Standing outside of Michael's while workers are inside staring at my 4 yr. old daughter and I. I explained to an employee walking in that she had to be at school at 9 and we only need a t-shirt. That was at 8:55. It is now 9:05 and I am still standing outside. I thought they were in retail?? Taking my business elsewhere. read more
