Pack Mule Moving

Pack Mule Moving

Pack Mule Moving was truly one of the best moving experiences I have ever had, and I have moved…read moremany times. Brandon (the owner) was exceptionally communicative and helpful, and he answered every single time that we called. Brandon came to our apartment and did an assessment of what was needed for our move. The day of the move, the team of four (Jeremiah, Andrew, Dustin, and Alain) arrived on time and got straight to work. They were very punctual, respectful, careful, hard-working, communicative, polite, and they were all around a great moving team. The team knew how to work together effectively. I could tell this team was well-trained and each person had a specific role that made the day run smoothly, which was beneficial as we had a TON of stuff and were moving from a third-floor apartment. The team took a very short lunch break, but they were there to work and never lollygagged. Jeremiah and Andrew from the original team drove the 9 hours and moved everything into my new place. They were again timely and very communicative about their arrival. In addition to their care for my personal belongings, they took the time to ensure the furniture was placed exactly where I wanted and even let me try a few different configurations in the bedroom. They were GREAT guys and I enjoyed having conversations with them throughout the move process. They were very personable and while the whole team was fantastic, they were clearly the team leaders. One of Pack Mule Movers biggest strengths include their disassembly and reassembly of furniture items. I am VERY type A person and have never trusted movers to take apart furniture, then store/transport tiny screws, and put furniture items back together. I quickly realized Jeremiah's system was very organized. He knew exactly where everything was whenever it came to reassembly at the new location. It was amazingly STRESS FREE on my end. There are three miniscule inconveniences that I faced throughout the move. The biggest downside was to avoid an additional fee, payment was limited to apps (Zelle, Cashapp, and Venmo). This made it harder for me to navigate; however, Brandon was very understanding with the issues I had making the deposit. The second challenge was how fast the moving team departed to get to my new place. Traveling 9 hours by myself was difficult in the time they proposed; however, they were very flexible, and we worked out an alternate timeline that allowed me to get some sleep. The final small unfortunate issue was the front glass pane on my curio was cracked during transit; however, Brandon offered a very fair refund for me to have the glass repaired. All of my other belongings arrived in great condition. All in all, I have dealt with many terrible movers, but that was not my experience with Pack Mule Moving and I would absolutely use them again. They may be more expensive than other movers in the area, but they are absolutely worth the extra cost.

They actually finished sooner than the estimate which allowed me to pay even less than I was quoted. Highly recommend.

He still charged me the rate for 3 "professional" and "experienced" movers. He spent the first 15min after signing the contract on the phone. Then disappeared again for a good hour throughout the move on the phone. Took additional 15min outside calculating the end total and charged me that 15min after they were done. They spent an hour getting one piece of furniture down the stairs. Victor, being a novice himself, coaching them for said hour. I asked for three to speed the process along and I got one person standing there doing nothing other than listening to Victor "training him" on his first paid move. Completely ripped off, and he knew very well, but nothing you can do in that situation. They were slow and deserved a couple beers and pizza for the move. Nothing like what he charged. He should have said from the beginning, that he was unable to get you my experienced movers, but we can make this happen at a price they were worth rather than gauging and taking advantage of my older parents having to move right away. Absolutely do not recommend him. His experienced movers must have left the company.

I called them in a panick after seeing a slew of bad reviews for another company I had booked and I called U-pack 2 weeks before a summer move to see if they could help. I'm so glad I did. They dropped off the cubes in Louisville, I had movers pack them, and they made it to Pittsburgh in less than a week. I needed them stored for a few months, and that was easy to do. They even set up an auto-payment for the storage fee so I didn't have to worry because I was going to be traveling internationally. Then when I came back I set up a delivery with a quick call. They were on time and quick about dropping the cubes back off, I had them unpacked and ready for return a few days later and they came to get them. No problems at all. I'd highly recommend using U-Pack for your long distance moves.

So friendly and so helpful with any questions we had. A truly great experience for my wife and I. Richard & Sherrie P.

My daughter recently moved her furniture to a storage unit after selling her house and looking to buy a new one. Since she is single, and I'm retired, she enlisted my help getting moved. I was the primary contact for all moving issues. We used a different company (not Clean Slate) to move from her old house TO the storage unit. They were "decent" but I felt a little used and abused by their add on charges after the fact. I started looking for a different mover when it was time to move from the storage unit to the new home. All communications were via text. Clean Slate did meet another movers price and since they had so many 5 star reviews, I decided to go with them. There was one problem, they showed up an hour late. I considered giving them 4 stars due to showing up late, but that issue was offset by the quality of the two young men that did our move. Both guys were respectful and took good care of our possessions. They worked non stop for 4 hours. They even let this old man talk their ears off! I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

I don't know where to start. We first used People Move Moving 4-5 years ago for a "down the street"…read moremove. Great experience. Movers were on time, professional, worked quickly but carefully. All of our belongings arrived safe and sound. Given our first experience, we didn't even bother quoting the move out to anyone else. We were in regular telephone communication with Daniel, their Sales and Operations Manager via phone. Red flag that we never received written follow up communication. We had a couple questions regarding heavy/large items which he assured us would be handled with the upmost care and professionalism. Specifically, a treadmill in the basement and a Big Green Egg. We were told the crew had "plenty of professional experience moving/disassembling both items". Upon arrival, the movers completed a once over of the house to develop a plan. Very quickly I was flat out told by one of the crew members that they were refusing to move the treadmill. We called Daniel and he assured us it would be handled appropriately and the tone/professionalism of his team would reflect that. It was not, in fact, handled appropriately. Fast forward to the end of the day, we required a small/quick second trip to and from for the last few items in the house. The movers were very reluctant to complete a second trip, even though that was communicated multiple times before and during the move. The business bills by the hour, so you would think this would be a somewhat common/reasonable request. I inquired about the treadmill once more and was told definitively and rudely "no" again. At this point, I had given up on receiving the help/assistance we were promised even though our invoice included "heavy item" charges. Those charges took approx. one week to be reimbursed. We are now in a dispute with PMM for reimbursement of the cost to hire a third party to move the treadmill (which I just received word from Daniel at 845am that "there is nothing we will do, it has been handled internally, please continue to follow up with our claims agency). Our move was completed on a Tuesday and I did not get around to checking the condition of the Big Green Egg until Thursday or Friday (my fault). Safe to say it's a loss. Photos attached. The professional movers obviously did not possess the requisite knowledge to move something this large and cumbersome. Over the last two weeks, I have tried reaching out to PMM via office phone, Daniel's cell phone, and email to resolve these issues and discuss potential partial refund for services not rendered. We were told this morning over the phone by Daniel that "we have fulfilled our part of the contract, there is nothing more we can do to help". Even after asking to speak to his superior, we were told "I am the highest person you are able to speak with regarding the matter". We are now at the mercy of PMM's claim agency, CSI. They have been fine to work with but it's unfortunate Daniel and his team are not able to provide any additional help/follow up to resolve this matter in a less contentious/way more professional manner. Would not recommend contracting PMM for your next move, and if you do, ensure all conversation with Daniel is documented via email. The lack of communication and tone over the phone (when they answer) has been unacceptable. My wife has filed a complaint with the BBB. Beware of the PMM team.
