They bring a passion with them to the expertise they offer you. That's what it's like to step into Ms Audrey's Emporium. The entrance is filled with art projects that invite you to explore within yourself- What do you wish to create? What crafting skill have you been meaning to pick up or grow? What part of you haven't you had a chance to express yet? And then Ms Audrey will ask you what you're interested in making, so she can help you bring it from idea to life! My artistic, seven-year-old daughter and I came to Louisville for spring break and enjoyed spending more than two days with Ms Audrey. We had stopped at the Speed Art Museum on our way into the city. Pro tip: The speed is free on Sundays. My daughter was inspired by some community artwork with mixed media on canvas. We showed a picture of the inspiration to Ms Audrey. She had the perfect materials and know-how to help us create our own masterpiece, inspired by the art we saw at the museum. My daughter did not want to do anything else in the city besides make art with Ms Audrey- we even skipped the children's museum. We learned different techniques for using the materials and I'll definitely be incorporating them as we continue to create at home. Ms Audrey helps you not only bring beauty into the world, but she makes learning a new craft accessible step by step. Her process helps you create while expanding your crafting skills along the way. She offers such a unique experience. As someone who continually strives to bring analog experiences to the younger generations, I fully approve and value the service she brings to the community. Her prices are absolutely affordable for the value and materials she has to offer. If you're considering starting a crafting hobby or working on a specific craft project, go see Ms Audrey.

I made some concrete coasters from scratch while I sipped an espresso martini. The service is prompt, and the specialists are also really kind and knowledgeable. The crafts range from simple to complex, and every craft is very independent! Avoid if you're not into loud noises as the work space is a little small and others and their crafts will be making lots of noise! (Especially the hammer for the leather works!) I've never had a drink here I didn't love, but the espresso martini especially is one of my favorites in the city. Really mellow flavor and very foamy. The Craftery is perfect for bachelorette parties, birthdays, and date nights. Next time skip the fancy dinner and make some concrete coasters instead! Then grab some takeout and enjoy your craft!

Honestly, it's hard to want to buy anything that isn't on sale because they are always having up to 50% off different categories of products. My only complaint is that the lines can get backed up when checking out but this is mostly due to the employees having to enter prices by hand. This also causes some employees to ring things up as full price on accident, which has happened to me multiple times. Still, Hobby Lobby is awesome and I will continue to shop here!

The store was full of natural light that highlighted the rooms, and the steps to the upper classrooms were painted in colorful hues. The staff were super friendly as we strolled through the center prior to our class. The selection of art supplies was quite impressive and seemed to include most anything a person could need for art projects (colored pencils, paints, brushes, pens, markers, canvas, children's art kits, and so much more). The prices appeared to be fair and in line with box stores and chain craft supply stores. I have found them hard to get on the phone, and when I do, overly brisk/abrupt, and defensive about their sometimes confusing stock & shipping policies. For example, I recently placed an order for an item. I landed on the Woolery to buy it because my online search produced a google listing from the Woolery that *specifically said the item was in stock*. I called to double check it was in stock, but no one answered the phone. The online store said "Shipping in 7-10 days" which made it sound like yes, they had the item in stock. So I ordered. I got an email the next day saying that the item was not in stock, as the manufacturer is closed for the next 3 weeks, and it will ship after that. I called to cancel the order, and the person answering the phone was quite quick to blame me for misunderstanding - "You can add it to your cart, but that doesn't mean we have it in stock" and "it SAYS 7-10 days shipping, you should have seen that, which is typical for a drop ship from a manufacturer" and "The website doesn't say we had it in stock, we never keep large items in stock, we don't have the room in our warehouse." Then, she seemed unhappy to cancel the order.
