    Hobby Lobby - Outside

    Hobby Lobby

This is a place I haven't stepped into in over ten years. I'll be honest, I'm not a fan of Hobby…read moreLobby for a variety of reasons, but I came along because my husband was looking for canning supplies. Oddly enough he found what he needed. The store is huge, and honestly, if you can't find what you need for your hobby here, that's on you. The staff was friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. One drawback: at checkout, they don't accept Apple Pay or Google Pay, and you can't just tap your card you have to insert it. In this day and age, that feels pretty inconvenient since many people may only carry one physical card. On the plus side, prices are reasonable, the store is bright and easy to shop, and there's plenty of parking.

Customer Service was so horrible I will never step foot in there again…read more I was at the check out 10/6/25 @ 3:20 pm and paid for my items and asked if I could have a bag to put my items in, the cashier Kimberly W. then told me that would be .48 cents after being cashed out without being asked to begin with. I literally do not carry cash like most of the world and that is when it went down hill. I said "apparently not I guess". she proceeded to pick up my items and shoved them in the bag and said here just take it, then went to hand it to me and dropped it out of her hand pissed off. If you want to be upset and pissed off do that to yourself for being rude and not offering a bag for the items to begin with. I spoke with the front end manager (bald man) who literally was there during this whole transaction, only said SORRY... OK he looked ridiculous not saying anything to counteract that situation by having a conversation with me instead of and this is now the reason I am giving and leaving this poor review. The customer service is beyond sub-par and maybe a little customer meeting is due for this store. I will continue to visit the Greece location without any of that.

This is truly one of the best gift shops around…read more I don't live in Rochester, but I do spend Christmas there every year. Parkleigh has saved my life by stocking all the gifts I forgot to get, didn't want to cart all the way to Western New York, or didn't even know I wanted to buy. They have something for everyone, and I truly mean that. If you can't find a gift for someone here, it's because that person doesn't like anything at all. They've got chocolates of all kinds, tea and coffee ground to order (which I wish I'd known before I'd bought mine elsewhere), beauty products, stuffed animals, coasters, books, flasks, camping gear, cookware, Bills gear, candy, and of course, socks, cards, mugs, shirts, hats, and anything else you could want with clever and funny little sayings. Seriously, so many socks. I've never seen this many socks that talk about drinking wine. But if that's something you need in your life, get over to Parkleigh. Also, the staff is super sweet and helpful.

We've been shopping at Parkleigh for over 20 years, and it remains one of the most unique stores…read morewe've ever lived near or visited. What keeps drawing us back is the incredible mix they've perfected-- everything from sentimental to silly, practical to indulgent, fragrant to delicious. Their selection spans greeting cards, gourmet chocolates, coffees and teas, local Rochester items, MacKenzie‑Childs, jewelry, toys, and an ever‑changing rotation of gifts from both local and international makers. The store itself is beautiful, with exposed brick, hardwood floors, original tin ceilings, and eye‑catching displays that make wandering the aisles feel like opening a present. What we love most is that there is always something new, fun, or beautiful to explore, no matter how many times we visit. After two decades, we're still excited to walk through the door, and we know we'll keep coming back for many years to come.
