He provided a…read morerough estimate for an initial list of tasks on which we wanted help, and after we added quite a few more items, the total came out to only a little more than that original estimate, which we found to be a good experience. Scheduling was pretty easy, he had a subcontractor show up a couple of times and the work was done quickly, efficiently and with a smile. Certainly as we have more work to do these folks will be at the top of our options list.

I was remote at the time and relied on texting and calls for communication. Jason would text pictures and updates, and he always showed up when he said he would. We had to get some roof cleaning recently, and we ended up going with Vaillancourt for cleaning the…read moremain house, but they said that a stand-alone structure couldn't be cleaned and was going to need a new roof. Their price was beyond what we could afford, so I started shopping around. W.E.Brown roofing had good reviews, so we called them about the stand-alone structure. Their price was in our budget, and we really liked the knowledge and experience of the fellow who came out to spec the job, Ron Bush. They were able to get us on the schedule fast, and the team that came out to replace the roof did a great job. It looks beautiful, and the technology behind the new shingles is impressive. A couple sheets of plywood needed to be replaced, and they needed to brace one of the rafters to hold the plywood securely. They explained everything they were doing and why it needed to be done. I was worried the price would shoot up, but it ended up being entirely reasonable, and now that structure's roof is going to last for years. I'm really happy with them, and we're going to go with Brown when it comes time to replace our main roof. It was a really good experience. I don't think anyone really *wants* to get this kind of work done, but when you need it, you need it, and they made it not only painless, but pleasant.

I had no problem giving him $2500 of the $3300 we agreed to do the job, materials and labor because I had used him once before. He came down, looked at the space and gave me a price. The only stipulation was that he had to get the complete job done in 5 days, starting on a Monday so I could be back working that following Saturday. He agreed. Monday he never showed. Tuesday he never showed. He finally showed Wednesday night, still saying it would be done Friday by doing 2 coats a day. He said like my old location I would need 5-7 coats. He did 1 coat Wednesday, 1 coat Thursday and on Friday he only coated about 60% of the floor and that was the last time he's been in. He told me that I need to give him more money or he's not finishing. I explained that as a business owner, if he quotes a job too low he's gotta still complete the job but learn from it. He called me screaming at me telling me I took advantage of him but he physically came to the building just days prior to give me a quote. A quote that I didn't even talk him down in. I just agreed even though it was quite a bit higher than the exact same job that was 500sqft smaller than he did prior for me. Larger building overall but his job was much smaller.

They are good communicators, and were able to understand what I wanted and make recommendations (I had them redo our bathroom - remove an old narrow shower stall, replace flooring, remove an old broken whirlpool tub, put in a larger walk-in shower, new vanity). They were upfront about cost and time and were very sensitive to my needs, especially cost-wise. Frankly, they are both just super nice people with a lot of construction experience. They did an amazing job turning my bathroom into a functional space with more shelves for storage, painting it, installing everything including the new flooring. I recommend R n E Renovators without reservation for anyone looking for a couple of stand-up guys doing excellent work!
