This is a good location. Their shelves are usually pretty well stocked. The store is very clean. The associates that work here are usually happy to help you find what you need if you're unable to locate it. Michael's typically has a good selection of sale items. Honestly, I never buy anything here unless it's on sale or I have a coupon. You can find a coupon online or on their app. If you are a member at Michael's, you often get a rewards. I had a five dollar reward that I came in to use. I found a nice flower pot on clearance for five dollars. Left the store without spending a penny and got a good flower pot. read more

I've never been here before, but a worker from Michael's in Brentwood said that this Fenton store was fully stocked with Halloween merchandise, implying that this Fenton location isn't as busy. Well, it definitely was full of stuff but empty of people! There were employees available to help us. The place was bright and that parking lot is large. No issues here! read more

Went in to get party supplies for a birthday that I was hosting. Didn't know I was going to be followed everywhere that I went in the store. The store was empty of customer so I guess that was the only thing that the young girl had to do. Went into three different parts of the store (party supplies, Cricut, and cake supplies) and somehow she also ended up in those departments. What a coincidence. Won't be going here again. I spend too much money in Michael's to be followed like a criminal. read more

Michaels is great. They have nearly every thing I need for all the arts and crafts I do. They are organized and clean. I am always finding new ideas there. The only problem I have is with the staff there who are unpleasant seem they wish they were elsewhere... I don't expect star treatment, but I do expect at least courteous staff and here is not where you will find that. read more

I shop at this store almost weekly and have for over 4 years. The staff is always friendly and helpful, the store is always clean and carrying what I'm looking for, and no matter what brings me in - I never seem to have trouble finding anything. In fact, I always find more than I need to! Michaels always has coupons running and their employees always do their best to get you the most savings. (For serious crafters like me, that just means more money to spend in your store!) In all the years I've shopped here, I've always stuck to buying craft supplies like Scrapbook paper, cardstock, paint, canvas, jewelry chain, jewelry pendants, beads, coloring books, markers, crayons, stickers, ephemera, embossing powder, stamps, ink, distress ink, florals, and so on. I even purchased a lot of my wedding items from Michaels! (Guest Book, Pen, Signs, thank you letters, envelopes, wax seal, etc.) But recently I've started purchasing a lot of holiday decor (due to AMAZING DEALS and COUPONS) and I am NOT disappointed! The wide range of Fall and Halloween decor had me near drooling! My home has never looked better for the holidays and I know when Christmas comes around, I won't be disappointed with that either! Everything Michaels carries is of great quality and I have never been disappointed with a purchase. In all my years, I've only made one gift return and it was easy peasy! Michaels is so blah compared to all the other craft stores in town... like Blick and Artmart. If you're looking for something cheaper than you should just head to Hobby Lobby because they're the cheapest out of all of them. Although, you will get better customer service at Michaels so that's a plus! There's nothing wrong with MIchaels per say it just doesn't do it for me. They don't really have any interesting supplies...they carry what everyone else carries except less. It's fine. But this issue isn't that big of a deal. WE'RE TALKING CRAFT STORES PEOPLE! Very disappointed with the customer service while shopping at the store on 11/10/2019.... **Unprofessional and immature AF** Its Veterans Day and I am a veteran. I kindly asked if the online coupons could be combined with the standard 15% veteran's discount, as they do at Kohls. The female cashier (Her name starts with a "J", young, long brown hair) had a physical reaction of gross irritation to me asking that question as though I had just asked her lick the top of a Q-tip I had just cleaned my dogs anal glands with. I mean, really lady? I was not trying to steal from the store or cheat my way to some sort of entitled savings. I was simply... asking an innocent question. And then... the female cashier proceeds to lecture me on veteran ID cards. She refuses to disengage and stop arguing with me that not every Veteran has a military ID number. As I explained, the state of Missouri allows veterans to put his/her veteran status on the back of his/her driver's license upon proof of DD-214 at the DMV. Mark Twain once said "Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience." I agree with Mark on this one! So...I just stopped talking and paid the bill. I was departing the store with my two young daughters, I turned to grab my littlest daughters hand and just happened to catch the female cashier having this out of body experience, rolling her eyes and making faces at me as the next customer was placing his large wreath on the counter. BUSTED. Totally busted "Miss Makes Faces at Veteran Customers McFaceMaker" - shame on you! This was just so degrading and condescending from you to me. I asked the other cashier checking out guests to please speak with the manager. After 3-5 minutes of waiting, "David" appeared. I explained what had occurred and... there was no reaction. He just stood there, blinking at me. So I said, David - what are your thoughts on it. What are you going to do about this? He said - what do you want me to say? And he continued on that he did not have any information so he did not know what to say. I asked what he was planning to do about it and he shrugs his shoulders and states in the form of a question "I'm sorry this happened to you?" in the most insincere voice. I questioned what his action plan was to coach the offending female cashier and if he would be coaching her. Again, he just stands there. Its like harvesting a kidney to get David to put together a sentence or have a meaningful discussion with this gentlemen. I told David that it would be great if he would say "I apologize for the experience and I will coach the young lady." He responds "So, I said those two things, not exactly as you said it and not using those same words, but I will." I just had enough and said - thank you and left. Meanwhile, Employee J and her co-worker are standing nearby, overhearing the conversation, whispering and snickering at my family and I. I think all of this was just totally uncalled for and petty. In my opinion, it appears that David's inability to effectively manage and resolve conflict, choosing rather to be conflict adverse and avoid these uncomfortable conversations shows a real lack of basic leadership skills, customer service skills, and emotional intelligence. I have a loss of confidence in his ability to properly lead and manage his employees. read more

I was a regular shopper at this Michael's and came to the crop twice a month for a year, I have also had my grand kids up there for craft time on Saturday and during the summer every week for kid's camp. We were informed in January that Michael's would no longer sponsor the crops starting in March, but we could finish out through February. I was not happy about this, but I get that as a business Michael's has their reasons. On February 5th at 3:30 the assistant manager( Jill) came in to inform us that this was our last day we would not be allowed back, there was a note left by the manager ( Bill) for her to tell us, and if we had already paid for future crops then we could get our money back. The reasons we were given was they could make $120.00 for birthday parties for the room. I know money is the motivator of many things but we were spending much more than the $120.00 each week we were there. The other reason was we did not clean up, apparently the week before a cut-out had been left on the floor. (The reason I know it was a cut out was an instructor at the store who complained about it told me) I agree everyone should clean up their space but just stopping the crops without ever talking to anyone about what happened seems to be in poor judgement especially with all the money we spent there for classes and products. read more
