This portrait that you're looking at is my late great, great Uncle Hon. M. L. Hill when he retired. I had a few major problems that were titanic due to the fact that if they weren't addressed the portrait would never be able to be hung. I therefore, went to the Michael's in Haines City. Once I went in, I noticed a fully clean store, amazing. I then walked over to the designer frames department where I encounted the phenomenal, noteworthy Artist/Painter, Sherrii Myers Wray. Wow, I never knew Michaels hired such a person. I spoke with her about my portrait that meant so much to me, she took that to her warm heart. The ravishing Artist;/Painter mentioned to that she would be done in approimately 30 minutes, i returned later than that. when I looked at the portrait of my Late Great, Great Uncle, permit me to say, Artist/Painter. Sherri M. Wray out did herself on this one. For the job that she did, she deserves by David Boone, CEO., and the Board of Michaels, a plaque with position and raise. I recommend all Floridians to come out to the Haines City Michaels, and meet the remarkable Artist/Painter Sherri Myers Wray. Take my word, it's like meeting Paplo Picasso. A solid Michael's location with all the things one expects to find in this craft chain. We headed in here to look for a shadow box and some wooden bases for hubs craft project. We lucked out that there was a sale of sixty percent off the shadow boxes and they had a nice grey frame one that will look great in the baby's room. The store was well organized and easy to shop. Sale signage was current and easily displayed. The clearance section could have been a little better organized but not the end of the world. Check out staff was quick and friendly and they brought up a second cashier when the line backed up a bit. Overall: A Solid chain location. read more

Fair warning during Covid- Terrible customer service. If one lane is all that's open and a second opens, instead of forcing the line to snake halfway through the store so people can social distance from each other, let people line up in a second line instead of fussing for them to be in the one line. This location continues to have everything I need to finish or complete a project, but between not finding someone for help and the terrible customer service at the front, might be a while before I return. read more

Rating: 3 stars, I typically have a good shopper experience and find friendly employees. Michael's is my go to for any kind of art supplies at this point. With this location, I usually find what I'm looking for and if I can't, I can usually get help. For me, my biggest issues are the general lack of organisation. I understand that understaffing can be an issue, but for me, it can be really difficult to find things when they're not where I expect them to be. Using my wheelchair here can be difficult when, sometimes, walkways and aisles are blocked by larger displays with disorganised piles of products. The washroom typically aunt of the cleanest. In my experience, they have never been too bad, but I've had some issues, such as a lack of soap or paper towels. All in all, I shop here more due to convenience There anything else, but it really isn't bad. In the end, I usually find what I need or want for a fairly reasonable price, while receiving friendly service, which is more of what matters to me. read more

We have shopped here a lot over the years and can always find something to use. Mostly we stop in for something in particular but we always wander the store. They have something for everyone who is artistic or enjoys crafting. Plus they have so much more. They run some good sales and their app always has coupons. All in all a fun place to shop. read more

It looks like Michael's is trying to put itself out of business. Brand new shiny Hobby Lobby across the street. I really don't want to shop at HL (personal reasons) but geez. Michael's ladies room is disgusting. Might as well have been at a gas station. The inside of the toilet looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a year. No soap. When I looked for ribbon, the kind I used (1/4" Offray) was just about out of stock. Empty boxes filled the shelves. It was the same way when I was in the Michael's in Sebring. I don't get it. A lot of stuff was out of stock. Half an aisle would be completely out of stock that's how bad it was. Not a single person asked if I needed help finding anything. The thing that made me write this review though is the fact that there were 10+ people waiting in line to check out, only one register open and AT LEAST two employees that came up to the front, looked at the line and then walked away. Now I don't mind waiting in line for a little while but ten minutes while employees blatantly ignored the customers? That's just bad practice. I would have gone to find someone but I didn't want to lose my place in line. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because the woman at the register was very friendly and sanitized her hands in between customers. I used to work for Michael's years ago in a different location and we certainly weren't trained to walk away from a problem. read more

Michael's is a craft store chain. This one is located inside Posner Park in Davenport near I-4 and Hwy 27. This is the most convenient place for me to go when I need to get something framed. They frequently have up to 60% off frames and they've always done a nice job. They have stuff for jewelry making, scrapbooking, and a variety of other hobbies. I have been frequenting the store lately as I have been decorating my new home. They have lots of frames, mirrors, and other pieces of decor. If you sign up for emails there is a 40% off coupon for a single item nearly every week. They also offer a rewards program where you can earn money to spend in store. We always have a problem at this store. There customer service is horrible. Always talking to each other instead of helping the customers. This last time, when we were trying to check out, there was one register with a huge line. We waited a while and then noticed that another customer checked out at another register that the light was so dim you couldn't even see that the lane was opened. I like this store and location is perfect. It's in the middle of the plaza which has a lot of different stores. Even the Cinema theater you can find at this plaza. I'm the least crafty person but this store always inspires me to try something new. It's also great to come in here not to put something together but to buy decorations for everyday or a holiday. Their wreaths are gorgeous! They also have a great framing department when you first walk in the door. I've come in here plenty of times for simple things like wax stamps to more extensive items for scrap booking. What I like is the variety the store carries and the prices are reasonable. I never walk out thinking I could have gotten a better deal somewhere else. Check online and check your receipts for additional coupons that can be used too. This store is always clean and organized. The staff is friendly and efficient. My most recent visit had long lines at the registers but an employee went down the line scanning all the items in my cart and then gave me a card. When I got to the register, all the cashier scanned was the card. My whole cart total appeared, my items were bagged and I paid for my items. The whole process was so quick! read more

It's frequently hard to find an associate and when you do find one, they are frequently uninterested, condescending, and dismissive. Micheals has a lot of appeal to it. In Art School this was my store of choice, and it continues to be that to this day. There are downsides of course- The framing prices are crazy and sometimes it can be hard to find exactly what you are looking for. I will tell you though it is there, ask any employee. I love to bake, and this is hands down where I get all of my fancy equipment for decorating and baking pans. During Halloween last year, I purchased a coffin shape mold pan! I have used it for Brownies and Bread! I also take advantage of the massive amount of coupons given through the app and leaflets. Overall a very pleasant experience all the time. read more
