For a college bookstore - this is what you want…read more It's large, stocked to the brim with Mizzou-themed goodies, sells books, some snacks, and loads of accessories. I was easily able to find the "Mizzou Mom" sweater I came for (but you might want to add some step-mom, step-dad stuff as other college stores have just to cover the bases there too) and they had several parent options that were cute. We got mugs, t-shirts, and saw all the things we came for. Staff walking around were friendly and took great care of us. Checkout was fast and pleasant.

I still have all of it and wear it all of the time (and get a ton of compliments). I was just back in Columbia and bought some new earings, two necklaces (one for myself and one for a birthday gift for a friend) and a print by a local artist for my boyfriend. It is a great place to get gifts for just about anyone. They have a wide selection of art, jewelry, furniture, ceramics. They also have a baby and childrens section (if only I knew more babies...). The service is immpecable and their gift wrap is adorable. Now that I live out of town, I do my fair share of online shopping/online drooling. They have a great website for it!

We don't live in Columbia so we drove to get it a few days after they said it would be ready and it hadn't been fired yet. We went back again the next week & they explained that the glaze hadn't been properly covered on my (mug) project. So when I hand washed my mug it looked like it had cracks all over it. The next time I hand washed it the handle broke off. I'm so sad after spending several hours making the memory /spending the $ with my daughters. (Their projects did turn out ok)

What a terrific opportunity to spend time with my 10 year old granddaughter! Unfortunately this…read morewas a terrible time to do this. They were not at all busy and we picked out our items and painted away! We paid for our items, very expensive but I knew my granddaughter enjoyed herself. Four days later they texted and asked for my granddaughter's mailing address and charged me $25 to ship it. This was in June. I have called several times. They originally told me it had shipped. I waited a couple of weeks, still no plate. I called back many times. I asked how it shipped, when it shipped, and what was the tracking number. I keep getting a run around. I am extremely disappointed and will NEVER go back and ALWAYS share my experience so others will understand what an unacceptable experience this was! Needless to say my granddaughter still has not received her "artwork!"

I live in Kansas City, and am aware of all the better yarn shops in Missouri. This is one of the…read morebest. I visited Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe for nothing specific. I know when I see hand painted yarn anywhere, to get it right then and there. which I did. They have every type of yarn, and have quite a bit of it knitted into sweaters or shawls. They sell books and patterns. A very beautiful selection of bulky yarn, and also the new ruffled scarf yarn. (I'm about to have some fun) They have needles I've never come across like size 50 circulars. I've never even seen a size 50 needle. The shop has classes, and a wonderful staff. I forgot to buy one of their counters, that I've seen only on Etsy. What's cool about Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe is they have a great website with ordering available. This is a must see if you are in Columbia, and like yarn. It will be one I will return to. Very pleased to have a yarn shop as nice as Hillcreek.

I'm an out-of towner who typically swings by on one of my visits to family in the Mid-MO area…read more.. each time I go in they seem to have added to their selection of yarns and accessories. I typically look around at all the selections; but I generally however go there for one specific yarn - Cascade 220. The yarn stores closer to my house do not offer a wide variety of colors in this yarn; and Hillcreek has just about every color or something close to what your after in it. If they don't have it, they will see if they can special order it for you or if it is something that is in their upcoming orders. The store has a monthly newsletter to let you know about events, new products, and classes that are being offered... including days for discounts such as MU Football game day deals. Another benefit that the store offers their customers is a punch card. For every $25 you spend you get a punch... and they write down the excess money should you not pull off an exact multiple of $25! Eventually, I believe you get $25 to spend at the store (I don't have my card on me right now).
