I'm gonna scroll through the archives because they do maintain an archive of past sales which really only benefits them because they're not letting anybody know what they actually sold the items for. So the archive is useless for valuation purposes. But I find a Broyhill Emphasis piece. A line that's one of our personal favorites , and it has rather lengthy description accompanying it, explaining that "Emphasis" was inspired by Egyptian obelisks. Which is total malarkey!! ( lies made up to sell ) Really if you look at Broyhill's original brochures for Emphasis ( see photo ) they talk about the process of veneering being invented in Egypt, but they say nothing about design inspiration coming from Egypt. So if you have a company that's so casually going to lie about the small stuff what whoppers are they telling you about the big stuff? I wouldn't trust them. I bought another piece from them when they were in their Florida store and had to have it shipped only to find out that their restoration included a wood putty filled missing veneer spot that they didn't bother patching the veneer on. It cost me $200 to have the piece properly repaired. It was a $500 piece. And that was maybe about two years after they first opened in 2010. Jackie the owner is what the other one star reviewers say she is. Yes she's terribly condescending and she's rude. The review mentioning how she offered to reimburse a customer for their trouble and then told them two weeks later it wasn't gonna happen is dead on to that woman's personality. She tells them what they need to hear to get them off her back. Stay away from the shop online and certainly don't bother going to Chattanooga to see them in person.

But the earrings turn out to not be a guaranteed great choice...since not every pair is actually made to be worn and they can't be returned! At $25 a pair, the end of each earring can't be re-attached after taken out of the backing because the hole for the backing to go into wasn't made to be large enough to really fit accurately. You can see from the pics. And jamming that slim metal piece in would just bend it. So these earrings can't be used as earrings. Since we all know how stretched our dollar is these days, not spending on earrings that can't be worn is something to consider.

Going forward we are definitely going to be lifelong customers. The two employees working during the mall lockdown today were true heroes. They quickly stepped into action, assisting five teenagers who were shopping in the store when the mall was suddenly put on lockdown. Without hesitation, they guided the teenagers to a secure area in the back of the store, ensuring they felt safe and supported during a frightening situation. The employees made a point to check on them every five minutes, offering reassurance and comfort until the situation was resolved. When my daughter called me at work to explain where she was and what had happened, a wave of relief washed over me. I was immensely grateful for the quick thinking and compassion displayed by these associates. Their actions not only safeguarded my daughter and her friends, but also highlighted their dedication to customer care. Because of this experience, my family and I are committed to being lifelong customers at this store.
