Seriously, do not go here…read more This was easily one of the worst dental experiences I've had. I scheduled what was supposed to be a routine cleaning. Instead, additional imaging was performed, including a 3D scan that I did not understand to be necessary for a routine preventive visit, and the claim resulted in charges being applied toward my deductible. I've worked with medical billing for decades, so I'm very familiar with how preventive services and insurance claims work. Then, unbelievably, my very first statement included a finance charge. I have dealt with countless healthcare providers professionally and personally, and I cannot remember another provider immediately adding a finance charge like this. I ultimately paid the $30.35 balance simply because I wanted to be completely done with this office. The actual cleaning was also terrible. The dentist performed it, and it was one of the least thorough cleanings I've received. I genuinely believe I would have received a substantially better cleaning from a dental hygienist. What bothered me even more was the dentist's demeanor and conversation. He discussed things during my appointment that I found inappropriate and that made me extremely uncomfortable. The entire interaction felt strange and unprofessional. My husband was also a patient here and independently came away uncomfortable with the dentist and the experience. Between the questionable experience surrounding the additional imaging and billing, the finance charge, the poor cleaning, and how uncomfortable the dentist made me feel, I cannot recommend this practice. There are far too many dental offices in Kansas City to put up with this. Seriously--go somewhere else.
