Dr. Seaman has lots of great reviews on Google and I think it's time to let the Yelp family know how great he is! He has early morning hours on certain days and evening hours on other days, so if you can't take time off work to make an appointment, you can go before or after. He also has Saturday appointments. The staff and Dr. Seaman are pleasant. I had a fairly early appointment both times and I never had to wait more than five minutes to be seen. Before you have any major procedure, they sit down with you and explain the cost. They work with your insurance. So the price I was quoted was exactly what I paid. No surprises. Although he's a little out of the way for me, I have found my new dentist.

When I reached out for clarification, Christy Loudermill, who I was told was the "billing manager" (which already confused me, considering her title is practice administrator), handled the situation in a way that was honestly shocking to me. Her response came off cold, dismissive, and completely uninterested in the fact that their mistake had real consequences for me. Instead of taking ownership or offering real help, the explanation was basically a quick brush-off labeled as "human error," as if that magically excused everything. What made it worse was the tone -- like I was the inconvenience for asking why I was suddenly expected to pay far more than what Christy herself had confirmed. There was no sense of accountability, no recognition of the office's own miscommunication, and absolutely zero acknowledgment of the impact this caused. The entire situation left me feeling like accuracy and transparency simply weren't priorities for her. And the fact that someone in the office even referred to her as the "billing manager" just added to the mess. When the people working there can't even get titles straight, it says a lot about how disorganized things are behind the scenes. My opinion? If this is how the practice administrator handles problems -- with confusion, deflection, and an attitude that the patient should just swallow the difference -- then the rest of the office is likely following the same example. This review is based entirely on my experience, but I feel strongly enough about it to warn others. You deserve a medical office that honors its own quotes, communicates clearly, and treats patients with respect -- especially when the mistake is on their end. I won't be returning. Son had wisdom teeth extraction. They did not supply a quote until 2 days prior to procedure, even…read morethough I requested one twice, several weeks in advance. Any time I needed to call them, had to call multiple times due to no one answering phone. On day of procedure before starting, discussed an impacted tooth and that they could expose and move said tooth since they were already in his mouth. They never said it would have an additional charge until after the procedure was done then said they would advise of amount after sending to insurance. 1.5 weeks later I get a bill for nearly $1,300.00 which was more than I paid for the 4 wisdom teeth to be removed. They refused to discount the additional charges, which were not covered by insurance. They only supplied a little gauze for after care. Other surgeon offices provide enough gauze for full aftercare as well as ice packs. I was treated as if this place only wants your money, they do not care about the patient or treating people like human beings. They also switched the location from where I made the appointment, but no one told me this until the day before when they called to go over what to do before coming in.

Initially, I had to reach out to the front desk/admin to relay a message or schedule an appointment. I finally requested her direct email to reach out, which slightly improved communication. Vibe Check: 2/10 The office itself is nice, but the vibe was way off to me. The decor reminds me of a dentist office in the late 70's, early 80s and smelled like the plastic bib they place over you before starting a cleaning. It just did not feel very welcoming or inviting to me. I always felt awkward being in the waiting room. I know it is not easy having your child go to therapy, but nobody looked happy to be there. It was the ultimate doom and gloom. Nap time: 0/10 During my child's sessions, the therapist would wrap themselves in a blanket and doze off. This was no surprise to me, as she scheduled her last appointment at 8pm. Eventually, she started cutting back her hours to be done around 5, but at that point, burnout had set in and the damage to my kid had been done. This is beyond unprofessional. Improper Termination: 1/10 I really do not think termination was properly done with my kiddo in a way that provided closure. Luckily, we were able to find services with another therapist, but there was just lack of communication and closure at the end of our time with her. Again, this is due to burnout, which is common with therapists that book the way she did. Overall: 2/10 I cannot recommend this Resolve location to anyone I love and care about. I honestly believe there is not great management at this location because I observed burnout and the therapists did not seem happy to be there. There are better options in the city for therapy services for your kiddo. (KC PCIT)

But my most recent experience was so pleasantly memorable, I felt compelled to post a review. It was not just a routine cleaning, which have all been fine, but a replacement of old cavity fillings. First of all, I did not feel a THING when the novacaine injection was administered. I mean, seriously, I was sitting there wondering "did he inject the novacaine yet?" before I realized yes he had. And I'm kind of a baby about novacaine in the first place. Secondly, the whole procedure was done smoothly, with excellent teamwork between Dr. Alexander (I hope it's Dr. Alexander and that I'm getting his name right, he's great) and the technician (sorry, I don't remember her name but she's great too, very personable and professional). They had a good collaboration where she could anticipate what he needed next and when I needed to be suctioned, etc. It just went very smoothly. Felt no pain, and it was efficiently done. Thirdly, I needed no adjustment at all. Sometimes with these fillings, it can end up a little high, and your bite just isn't quite right. Nope, 24 hours later I don't even REMEMBER that I just had these fillings done. The bite was perfect on the first try. And you have what you need - tissues, cups, rinse, bing, bang boom, procedure done, you're on your way. Oh yeah, I forgot, you can even eat and drink RIGHT after the procedure is finished. And I did (sorry, I know I said I wouldn't when I was there but I did because I COULD) eat and drink shortly afterwards and had no problems at all. And the staff are great. They're nice to you when you arrive and good about scheduling and great about billing. They listen to you, pay attention, they just do a great job with customer service. I've left physicians practices solely based on the behavior of the office staff even if I like the physician. Not an issue with Olathe Famly Dentistry, they're great to work with. And they accept my dental insurance (MetLife Dental).

I was immediately impressed with Dr. Herre's knowledge of TMJ. He also teaches other dentist how to treat this condition so I would consider him an expert. Dr. Herre made me a bite splint and at first, I will be honest, the expense was really hard to swallow. However, when you consider that the hour long follow up visits (all included) for weeks and weeks afterwards, it really makes the cost more understandable. Anyway, I have had my bite splint for 5 weeks now and the proof is in the pudding. I went from someone who spent probably 10 days a month in bed with migraines to being nearly headache free. Before I also had other symptoms like not being able to chew foods, ear pain, facial pain and all of it has disappeared. My husband is thrilled that I'm not tired all the time anymore. I cannot say how pleased I am with the results so far.

Over the years I have gotten sealants, fillings and broken teeth removed on top of my regular visits and I have always felt at ease. I am never intimidated and as Dr. Scott will tell you, I never cried! It's a nice treat to go to what is usually a dreaded experience and actually sort of enjoy myself and feel cared for.
