This Dry cleaners is in a great location on highway 50 in Delavan. Kelly who works there is always very sweet, and helpful when I drop off or pick up my dry cleaning. You can tell she works very hard, and takes pride in her work. I feel the pricing is fair, because they do a great job every time. Try and remember to drop your dry cleaning off earlier in the week, and Keep in mind to never drop off on Thursday afternoon or Friday expecting to have your garments clean for the weekend. I do miss buying fresh eggs from the owner, but they no longer do that. My husband likes to use the drive thru especially if it's raining or super cold out. The coin machine is always out of order and you will never get your money back or even a response from owner. Don't waste your ti.e or money here. I was very happy with how friendly and efficient everyone here was. It's hard to strike the right balance between being talkative and overdoing it. I had to get a suit cleaned and didn't leave myself much time, but the clerk took my suit to the back right away, explaining that a van was leaving in a few minutes. This enabled them to have the suit ready the next day despite my dropping it off at about 2pm. The price was very good - $13 - and they did a great job. read more

My first job was working at a dry cleaners so I know the business. Having recently moved up here I thought I would give this place a try since it's close to my house. The price to launder light starch a tablecloth was 18.00. I didn't think to ask for pricing because I thought it would be equal or less than Chicago. Mistake! Secondly they tied the bag at the bottom which resulted in a wrinkled tablecloth. Now I have three wrinkled tablecloths. The two blouses were fine. Waiting a week for two blouses is too long. I've used the Walworth location since we moved to the area in the fall. I had no complaint until recently when I picked up a wool skirt I had cleaned. The skirt is relatively new, and this was the first time I had it cleaned. When I picked it up, the hem was gone. I couldn't even tell where it was. The zipper also now catches and it didn't before. I was told to take it over to the Delevan location as that is where the seamstress is located. Upon arriving, I was questioned as to why I brought the skirt there (I was told to) and that the owners would have to make a decision about the garment. What other decision could be made except: "We're sorry and we'll fix it--and we won't be charging you anything." I can't imagine that there's anything else that's acceptable (unless they want to throw in some free cleaning to demonstrate their commitment to customer service). I'm not really that angry that the hem went missing or the zipper is not operating well--that could happen. What blanks the living daylights out of me is that there is NO PROCESS to handling such issues and I was treated as if I screwed up my own garment. Seriously, I have better things to do with my time. I just need the thing to be fixed and it should not even be suggested that I'm responsible for paying for the damage that Michael Todd's caused. So if you are thinking of going there, you might need to think again... Also, let me say that the folks at the Walworth location were very kind. I think there's just a lack of a process of how to handle such issues, as I note above. read more

DO NOT USE THIS DRY CLEANER! I brought in a sweater that had been dry cleaned in the past and when I picked it from this dry cleaner, there was a color change about the size of 10x10 inches on the front and on the back in the same area as the front. Upon explaining this to the owner, I was told, the marks were there from old age (same story as another review). This sweater was beautiful (perfect condition) until I left it at Michael Todd's Cleaners. The woman was extremely rude, blaming me and offered no help or money back. I did not pay for a sweater to be ruined. Also, my winter wool coat, looked as if it had not been dry cleaned. BEWARE OF THIS BUSINESS AND THEIR LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT THE STATE. read more

Please, DON'T GO TO MICHAEL TODDS. I have used their cleaners for my dry cleaning and their launder mat for 2 years. Each time that I have had any contact with the woman who runs the place, I have felt she talked down to me, even insulted me. Once I told her I couldn't get the change machine to take my money for change, she comes back and yells at me, telling me she didn't have any problems using the machine. She was clearly annoyed that I bothered her, asking for change to use in her business washers and dryers. Each time I needed my dry cleaning the next day, she told me it would be a minimum of 2 days, even though their sign states "1 hr dry cleaning". So, I try not to ask questions or for help from her, she always makes me feel inferior for bothering her. Today, I was doing laundry at the laundromat, and when the woman who runs the place came into the launder mat, I informed her one of her dryers needed work on it. I did not complain or ask for a refund, I was actually trying to be nice and let her know about the problem. Immediately, she yelled at me, stating I should have used the buzzer. I told her I couldn't see any buzzer from where I was, the buzzer was way at the other end of the Laundromat, and it wasn't a problem to me, I just used another machine. She actually cussed at me, and yelled at me. I was frantically trying to remove my still wet clothes from the dryers and get out of there, but she was right in my face, yelling and cursing at me. So, I ran out of the launder mat to escape from her, leaving my clothes behind. Soon after, a man comes out to my car, and asks me if I was going to come inside and get my clothes. I told him I was afraid of that woman, who was yelling at me. He promised me I could come inside and finish my laundry and he'd be sure the woman wouldn't yell at me again. So, I quickly removed my wet clothes, and went to another launder mat to dry them. I honestly don't know why that woman verbally attacked me, all I did was let her know about the problem with one of her dryers, Here I thought I was just being helpful, I didn't ask for a refund or anything, and I was instantly verbally attacked. Perhaps the woman was mad because she assumed I was telling her about the dryer because I wanted money back. However, I only lost 25 cents, and I wasn't asking for my quarter back. Maybe, she thought it was OK to treat me that way because I'm a senior citizen, and what can I do about it? Well, I do know how to use a computer, and I can post a review of her business, so, that is what I can do. wow, this is the same woman who has treated me rudely every time I've dealt with her, and I've had enough. I have never heard of a business treating their customers this way. So, choose another dry cleaner and laundromat, Don't let this woman talk down to you, insult you or attack you like she has done to me. Today, was the last time that woman talks that insulting way to me. I will find another cleaners and launder mat to go to, where customers are appreciated. This is a true story. At least 4 times this woman has "down talked me, insulted me verbally, or been just plain rude when I've been using her business, but, today, she crossed the line, and lost one good customer. Hopefully, my advise will protect others from being attacked by her, and help people avoid this business. DO NOT TRUST THIS DRY-CLEANER! I have used them exclusively for my dry-cleaning needs. I had heard some horrid stories about their customer service, but did not listened carefully i guess. Took a shirt there that was relatively new, used it not more than three times. They first could not find the shirt, they kept installing it saying they could not find it. When they finally found it, the shirt came back not only the colors had faded into each other but it had a LARGE tear on it. They said it was an old shirt and it torn because of age. Well, the shirt is not even one year old i said, i have barely enjoyed it. When I asked to speak with the owner, no one would return my phone calls. So I left another voicemail and said the next phone call was going to be from my attorney. Ten minutes later I got a phone call and the manager from Delavan insisted that the tear was because the shirt was old. I tried to explain to her I had just bought the shirt last fall and it was impossible. Then she tried to implied that I must have taken the shirt some where else. I told her no, that shirt had only been taken there before. Since I couldn't get thru her, then I asked to speak with the owner, her response: THE OWNERS ARE TOO BUSY TO DEAL WITH THIS. I have never dealt with an owner that was so rude¨ unprofessional, unorganized ,she has absolutely no customer service skills, Nor is she customer oriented. Beware, I would not bring anything for any alterations or dry cleaning there. I'm actually going to pick up the article of clothing that I was going to have dry cleaned and preserved because they refused my business after I had a rude conversation with the owner. She gave the phone to another employee and I overheard her saying in the background " I'm not dealing with her anymore" all I was trying to do was give them my correct phone number (wrong phone number on ticket) and I was rudely interrupted. Before this time I had brought some clothes to be altered and the day that I was supposed to pick up my articles of clothing, they called and said that they did not fix one of my dresses because they did not have the right thread... this is on the day of pick up!!! with the owners knowledge that I was leaving for California the day after. The alterations themselves are of poor quality, the customer service is way below standard... Never again!!# read more
