I've been getting adjustments from Dr. Tebbe for years and am very impressed with his continually increasing knowledge of his profession. His methodology seems different than other chiropractors I've been to, more progressive maybe? Anyway, the REAL story is the incredible difference he's made with my wife's back. She has a mild case of scoliosis as well as an old sports injury in her lower back that prevented her from sleeping on her left side without pain and pressure. She is a PE teacher and would regularly come home with back pain. After about 6 or 8 adjustments, she noticed that the pain was completely gone when she lay on her left side bag her pain at work was far more infrequent. To put this in context, my wife had been told by physicians she would need to have vertebrae fused or rods in her back or even a continuous pain medication drip. Dr. Tebbe is a magician! My brother has suffered on and off with nearly debilitating pain. Many mornings would take him several hours to get out of bed because pain would make moving difficult. He could never really pinpoint exactly where the pain was - just that one day it might be his legs, another his whole left side, etc. To add to the agony is the frustration of the doctor assigned as a primary care through his Obamacare coverage. One of my friends gave me Dr. T's information, and during one of his flare ups, I asked my brother to let me make an appointment for him. Dr. T was able to accommodate an immediate appointment. The appointment itself seemed to go well. My brother came out of the office immediately feeling relief. Honestly, it was short-lived, as the next day, he seemed to be in more pain - about as much pain as his flare up. I reminded my brother that sometimes when you get adjustments, the body needs a "moment" of discomfort of the proper alignment before feeling better. We gave it another day, and for the most part, he woke up feeling much better. A few days later, he went back to Dr. T for a follow-up, and this time, not only felt better, but felt better for more than just the day. He has since been back a few times, when the pain re-flares, but before it gets horrible.... but what impressed me was Dr. T's patience. My brother was not able to pinpoint his exact pain location - that alone drove me nuts, and as a professional trying to help, I can only imagine the frustration that would cause. Further, I have since had my own issues with my shoulder, and visited Dr. T myself. He noticed an alignment issue near the back of my neck, and a tightening on the inside of my elbow. He showed me exercises, and a tool to be able to loosen up the tightness. Sooo before I start, I must say... Dr. Tebbe is a GOD SEND! I wouldn't recommend anyone else. As an added bonus, he speaks Spanish! To make a long story short, I was in two separate car accidents. Both causing severe migraines, upper & lower back pain, and numbness on my arms. I'm happy that my friend referred Dr. Tebbe to me. I come from the other side of town to see him. I was experiencing numbness down one of my legs and it was starting to cause discomfort. It was distracting me from concentrating at work and living life. Dr. Tebbe took an evaluation of me and created a course of treatment. He also showed me some exercises that I could do at home that would strengthen certain areas for my back. After I finished treatment, the numbness went away and I was feeling so much better! I've always been a bit suspicious about chiropractors and chiro treatments in general but Dr. Tebbe has made a believer out of me. First, he doesn't do the bone-crunching type of chiro you're used to. His techniques are surprisingly gentle. But the results cannot be denied. He'll have you immediately get up and walk around after an adjustment so you can see how much more effectively you move. And every month he'll use a sensitive instrument to measure the muscle activity in your back needed to keep you upright. As you progress, you'll actually see the imbalances and magnitude of effort required diminish! That kind of hard data and proof that something is working is very important to me. As others have noted, Dr. Tebbe is a consummate professional. Dr. Tebbe is a brilliant chiropractor. He has done wonders not only for me, but for my infant son. For the first four months of my sons life, he was incredibly fussy - he had trouble with bowel movements, he was very gassy, he would not lay on his stomach and he had regular meltdowns. His pediatrician told us that his behavior was normal - colickly but normal. While, we accepted for several months that he was a "colicky" baby, as time passed we were no longer convinced of the "its normal" diagnosis from his pediatrician. My little dude had a difficult delivery - 20 hours of labor with 3 hours of pushing on a baby stuck behind his mothers pelvis. We later learned that during delivery a baby experiences 20-30 lbs of pressure on his head and neck and upward of 70 - 100 lbs of pressure on his head and neck during an assisted delivery. This pressure can cause among other health concerns, subluxationions - a misalignment of one of the bones in the spine. Subluxations, as we discovered, make it difficult for babies to fight infections, digest food properly, control temperature, cause pain, vomiting and sleeplessness. On the advice from another parent with similar difficulties, I took my little dude to see Dr. Tebbe at Olympic Chiropractic. Within hours of his first visit, he had several bowel movements with no pain - he wanted to play on his stomach and he went 24 hours without a meltdown. My little dude continued to see Dr. Tebee regularly for several months - each visit resulted in fewer meltdowns, regular bowel movements with less gas, improved laying and sleeping on his stomach and his overall demeanor improved vastly. Dr. Tebee is brilliant with the little ones and I highly recommend any parent dealing with a fussy baby, or simply a newborn, to see him. read more
