Let me start with I have never given a bad review or any review for anything in the past. I feel compelled to share my experience. After a few visits the Dr
indicated that custom orthotics could help me. The price would be over $600
I told him I could not afford it. He suggested the front office could research it through my insurance to see if it was covered. They agreed to do so. They called me a few days later and said I was in luck! My insurance agreed to pay. They scheduled me an appointment and ordered my orthotics. A few months later I received a bill for $670.00. plus a bill for $90. fitting fee. I was told to contact a billing agency in NJ since his office does not take care of this.
The agency was very nice, but there was nothing they could do. They told me they suspected I would be calling since they had told the Dr. office this was not covered. I then called my insurance who had a record of the call from the Dr. office telling them it was not covered. I called the doctors office back they said this was my fault, I should have double checked my insurance. Even though this was their fault. I offered to split the bill. They said absolutely not. It amazes me that a professional business would not own up to their mistake. We have all had such an awful year ,(I had to close down part of my business) I am only asking them to do the right thing. read more
