Hays Specialist Recruitment

Downtown Core

I used to be subscribed to the HAYS newsletter but decided to unsubscribe because they sent me…read moretwo job postings with the phrase "Canadian experience required" and no explanation as to why. Those jobs could be performed by anyone with the right experience regardless of where they had acquired it, therefore it's totally UNACCEPTABLE to publish it as a "must" without any further explanation. Absolutely horrible and unprofessional given that the Hays brand is supposed to be "global"! You seem not to know that in Ontario it's a human rights violation to post that requirement. You could be better informed by checking the Ontario Human Rights Commission's website, or at least say why your client needs that requirement. I'd never recommend Hays Canada to my employer, colleagues or friends!!

Was super impressed at first, however, while my area of focus is not in recruiting, I was employed…read moreat a staffing nonprofit while working with Hays. That being said, my recruiter went MIA after my first interview. I understand they work in a competitive, fast-paced work environment, but dependability and a simply call for feedback was all I expected ( especially given I was instructed to contact her post interview) I then didn't hear back from her for weeks (Vacation was of course the reason given) but weeks followed where I had to periodically and repeatedly reach out to her for just simple feedback. Struck me as unprofessional.

After applying for numerous positions at my qualification level and under, I thought I'd check in with lady I interviewed with to see how I was doing or how I could improve my chance at selection. I didn't hear back, either from my representative or the company in general for more than THREE MONTHS. By this stage I was fortune enough to have landed a position on my own after two months of being unemployed. So for people like me who were actively seeking work and were desperate for any help an agency like Atlis HR could offer, I suggest you look elsewhere. Especially when you get a call four months later where you politely inform Atlis you found work yourself, no thanks to them. Literally no f***s were given, not even a "I'm sorry to hear that" Atlis is not a professional company worth investing your time and hope into. Maybe next time give a damn.

Against my better judgement, I gave altisHR a couple more chances. I dealt with recruiters who…read morewere new to me and I thought that might make a difference. It did not. I think one contacted me just so they could make their numbers for the month. The other did not understand the job description she had been given to work with and so we could not intelligently discuss the role. But that did not stop her from being condescending! Don't bother with this agency. It's not worth the headache and it's a waste of time.
