Since then, she has successfully delivered my…read more22 month old son via emergency cesarean, performed a D & C on a 9 week miscarriage, and is currently guiding me through a third pregnancy (18 weeks along). Throughout my entire first pregnancy, I felt supported, educated, and empowered. Dr. Maloney took the time to listen to all of my ridiculous questions and answered every single one of them. I unexpectedly had a placental abruption with my first and both my life and my son's life were at risk. Dr. Maloney QUICKLY delivered him via cesarean, despite the several risks associated with placental abruption, we were fortunate enough to not experience any of the complications because of Dr. Maloney's excellent work and care. I accidentally missed my first scheduled visit with Dr. Maloney after having my son (blame the sleep deprivation) and I will never forget Dr. Maloney calling me to confirm that I was okay and to get in to see her as soon as possible. Even with a cesarean I was able to resume exercise quickly and returned to my responsibilities as a spin instructor at 14 weeks post partum. In winter of 2019 I experienced a missed miscarriage where there are no stereotypical signs of a miscarriage (no bleeding, cramping, anything like that). This was quite a traumatic time, because as a young and healthy woman, you never expect to be part of the statistics you hear about. Dr. Maloney went above and beyond to guide me through this process, both emailing me and calling me to check in to see how I was feeling. She thoroughly explained my options and I decided to have a scheduled D & C with her at the hospital. What my husband and I appreciated most throughout this sad experience was how informative Dr. Maloney was but how she seemed to genuinely care about my feelings. She left us feeling optimistic that this miscarriage was a bump in the road and not the end of our pregnancy journey. I am now 18 weeks a long with a (what appears to be) healthy baby girl. We are very fortunate to have our health in Dr. Maloney's hands and are looking forward to continuing our care with Dr. Maloney. I'd like to add that I am an active and healthy 27 year old patient. I suffer from (at times) debilitating migraines which are made worse during pregnancy. Dr. Maloney and her wonderful medical assistant April are always readily available to recommend how I treat them, whether it be coming into the medical clinic for care, getting a prescription, or going to the hospital. Simply put, Dr. Maloney is a wonderful, kind, and intelligent OB/GYN. You (and that growing baby) are in EXCELLENT hands with her.

When it came time to change an IDU and I was bleeding, sobbing and writhing in pain with ZERO compassion, offer of pain meds or even a break, I knew there was a better way. So thankful to have now found an OB that is an advocate for women.

They both reviewed the video with me, showed my structures and explained the severity. He offered both the conservative and aggressive options to me, while explaining the possible risks and outcomes and allowed me to make an informed decision about our care. He then explained signs for us to seek emergency care if my sons condition worsens prior to our next visit. We agreed upon a plan and I'm looking forward to following up with their team again. Other reviews are dissatisfied with Dr. Young's bedside manner. While he isn't necessarily the most bubbly doctor, that isn't what I seek in a medical professional. He was very knowledgeable, took the time to answer all of my questions, and even welcomed me to breastfeed while we talked to help soothe my son.

I was disappointed with my appointment though. After waiting for him for an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time, I was getting very impatient. While I do appreciate him taking time with his patients (a very important part of practicing) maybe he shouldn't have so many appointments then. Making someone wait that long is just not fair, guess my time is not important. Secondly I was referred to him from another surgeon that met with me and said I needed surgery but was booked out farther than I liked. When I met with Dr. Bragg, he did not believe I needed surgery (even know I know my body, have been dealing with the pain for several months and have already had this injury on the other shoulder a few years back that last almost two years before I moved forward with surgery, clearly it is not going to just heal). The Dr and I agreed to disagree, which I can appreciate his opinion. He is entitled to his and I am entitled to mine. I just don't understand why I had to waste my time when the office knew I was being referred to discuss surgery, I confirmed that when I was on the phone with them. Lastly the location of the office (not the Dr's fault), is a nightmare!! You all can keep the downtown Sac area, I want nothing to do with it. One way streets, NO parking... stupid. This office has valet parking, for $5.00 CASH. When I pulled up the attendant did not tell me that they had an ATM, so I had to leave and go find one several blocks away, only to come back and then he told me they had one. First it is was $12.00 cash, then it was $5.00 Cash. (something shady going on here!) 08/17/2016-Disclaimer on my review... I have not seen the Dr yet but the front office staff is usually a huge deciding factor for me when deciding what Dr's I wish to get medical opinions from. The front office called me to book an appointment with the Dr surgeon due to a surgery I need to have on my torn rotator cuff. The office was friendly, answering all my questions and very accommodating to my concern about needing to get in quickly. I did some research on the Dr after they called me ( I got referred by my regular Dr), and he comes highly recommended on the Internet. Fingers crossed that since the office was so great, I will equally love the Dr. Meeting with him next week, I'll update my review after I meet him.

In my book "precise" is what you want in a surgeon. On surgery day when I was being prepped I noticed how well he and the team worked together which gave me confidence and I was not at all scared. I was walking with assistance a couple hours after surgery. I experienced no complications and in fact was told by several in home nurses and physical therapists that they love working with his patients because there are no post surgery complications and they recover well. At three weeks I was walking without pain and without a walker. At 10 weeks I am walking without noticing I am walking. If you have hip problems you know this to be a great gift after years of pain. If you need hip surgery. GO TO DR.SHERIDAN.
