Amazing! Look no further, he's the best. Listens carefully with no judgement. Been my PCP over 3 years and I won't be going anywhere else.

I want to start by saying the idea behind Oak Street Health a "one-stop" primary care clinic is a…read moregreat concept. Unfortunately, the execution falls short. I began as a patient in 2021. My first visit was on time, and the intake and case management process was actually very good. They accepted my Medicare Advantage plan, gave me a tour of the facility, and even offered transportation to and from appointments, which initially made me feel confident in choosing this clinic. However, continuity of care quickly became an issue. My first doctor left the clinic. The next provider retired with no notice. After that, I was assigned a doctor I really liked only to find out he was a visiting provider who was only there for the day. Eventually, I was placed with the one male nurse practitioner and stayed with him until 2022, but ultimately felt he was not a good fit for my care. I decided to give Oak Street Health one final chance and switched to a female doctor. At first, things seemed fine. Then the transportation service became unreliable vans were late or missed rides altogether, causing me to arrive late for appointments. I also began to notice a pattern of prescribing medications quickly, without much discussion or exploration of alternatives. In 2023, I had an appointment where I arrived 20 minutes early. I waited those 20 minutes in the lobby, then another 25 minutes with the assistant before being taken to the exam room. I was told the doctor would be in shortly. I asked to keep the door open because the exam room was stuffy and then I waited. For two full hours, no doctor came in. No one checked on me. No one asked if I needed water. No updates. Nothing. After two hours, I decided to leave. As I gathered my things and headed out, the receptionist asked where I was going because there was no record of me leaving or any follow-up scheduled. I calmly explained that I had been left alone in an exam room for two hours without anyone checking on me, and I was done waiting. I had to call an Uber because no Oak Street Health vans were available. While waiting for my ride, the doctor called me asking why I missed my appointment which was the final straw. I explained that I waited 20 minutes in the lobby, 25 minutes in the exam room with staff, and then two hours alone waiting for her. I told her that unless Oak Street Health planned to compensate me for my time, I would not be returning. The bottom line is this: the concept is good, but the execution is not. If Oak Street Health truly wants to be a "one-stop" clinic for seniors, then it needs to be done right. That means consistency in providers, reliable transportation, respect for patients' time, and ideally access to specialists under the same roof. Seniors should not have to bounce between five different locations to receive proper care. If you're going to build a model like this, get it right the first time. Suggestions: really care about your senior patients not just claim it. Hire in some typical specialists that are experts with diabetes, HIV, Cancer and other geriatric patient needs. while not every specialist can come onboard a few in these specific medical needs would be a great way to service your seniors. This is a new generation of Seniors with a lot more needs. Space out your appointments so that your patients are not sitting in the exam room more than 20 minutes. If someone arrives late or is known to be constantly late they either need to rebook or wait until after those who showed up on time.

He called, booked an appointment and got in and not even a weeks time. So yesterday was his first appointment as a new patient. He said from the moment he walked in, the lady at the front desk was just an absolute doll just beyond nice and friendly. Then he seen Doctor Charara. He absolutely loves him and my husband is not a Dr. person. He said he spent more than a reasonable amount of time with him. Everything that you would want a doctor nowadays to do on a first check up. He was just the most kind, caring an awesome Dr. and I didn't see his name in the list here so I'm hoping he gets his own personal page because I've already put him on Facebook and Google to highly highly recommend him. You will not be sorry I promise What an absolute joy to have a fantastic doctor in this day and age

Oh my. Where do I start?…read more The intake appointment is the only appointment I had that I waited in the lobby less than 1 hour, for internal medicine and OB/GYN, even if there was no one in the lobby. The atmosphere feels like the "fast food" of medical offices. In internal medicine, I saw Dr. Sheila Sungurlu only 3 times and that was more than enough for me. I was complaining about the continuous hour wait to the staff after the intake. For the intake, there was a 15 minute wait. On the third appointment, she came into the room obviously suppressing her rage. This was beyond anger. She didn't even say hello and started laying into me, literally. I thought it was going to turn into a yelling match. She pretty much said that the wait is always an hour at least and if I could find somewhere else that the wait was shorter, then go do it... three times. Then, she proceeded to say that she waited 2 hours for her PCP. Who in their right mind would do that? She was rude, snarky, and outright refused medical records I had in hand from a previous doctor. It was always an issue getting prescription refills. They were additionally always incorrect. The office staff was just as, err, pleasant. I also saw their OB/GYN, Dr. Danysh Bohdan, for a routine yearly exam & pap. He did the exam without a nurse in the room, which from what I heard later is illegal. While he was doing the exam, he did not remove my birth control. The speculum was causing me pain during the exam due to this. I asked if he would remove the birth control because he was hurting me. He refused. I had other issues I wanted to discuss with him and it was like pulling teeth to get any helpful information from him or further course of action. He was very blah about everything and didn't seem to care about much. The routine blood work I needed did not show 2 of the medications I was on, twice. The Phlebotomist was not very skilled after boasting working in the ER on overnights and with newborns. It took 3 sticks to get 2 tubes. To get through to anyone at Oakwood to file a complaint took me over 1 week to get a call back for information on where to send a complaint, even though they have those "Tell us how we are doing" cards in each specialization office. If I were you, pass this place running, driving, flying, wind sailing, 4 wheeling, hang gliding, or whatever you use as a mode of transportation. Within 1 week, I found a clinic with the best PCP I've ever had, an OB/GYN that's fantastic with an average wait time of around 20 minutes or less. Don't settle people. It's your health!

I've tried every provider there, and unfortunately, none of them seem very knowledgeable beyond general or routine issues. One experience that stood out to me was when I went in for a gynecological concern. The female physician completely minimized my pain and didn't seem familiar with what I was describing. What made it even more disappointing was that the wall in her office had a sign saying she specializes in women's health, but that was definitely not reflected in my visit. Overall, I think they're fine for simple, everyday care, but I would not recommend them for anything more complex or specialized.

He, and honestly all other staff members, are very smart, understanding, and compassionate. Another large plus for me, they have NEVER tried to push opioids on me once. For me that means a great deal since I don't want any. Another huge thing for me is that the wait time for a walk in is about the same as my dentist usually. I've been seen in as little as 10-20 min multiple times, I definitely recommend this establishment

She's a fairly young doctor, which I really relate to. I don't feel the need to keep information from her, or embarrassed to tell her things a doctor should know. Her office (along with all the other doctors') is located on the second floor of this Oakwood building. There's a large waiting room with plenty of magazines to read and a TV to watch to pass the time. My doctor has been known to be late to appointments, meaning lots of time in the waiting room, then more time spent in an examine room. I really don't mind this because I know that Dr. Climie is very thorough and listens to her patients' concerns. If being on time is very important to you, request an appointment at the beginning of the day or right after her lunch hour. I've got a handful of friends who come to this particular doctor. We all agree she's great at what she does. If you need a new family practice doctor, I definitely recommend Dr. Climie.
