My treatment for a crown turned into 5-6 appointments because the crown repeatedly came back from the lab without fitting properly. It was even permanently cemented once, only to be removed the same day because it didn't fit correctly. Every visit meant removing the temporary crown, numbing my extremely sensitive tooth, and starting over. After months of this, I lost confidence in the quality of care and chose to have the work completed elsewhere. When I later returned through the VA for a completely different issue, a receding gum, I was surprised by how I was treated. Instead of addressing the reason for my visit, the dentist became visibly upset that I had my crown work completed by another provider. She spoke to me in a way that felt more like I was being scolded than treated as a patient, because I went somewhere else. She refused to examine or treat the issue I came in for and told me she wouldn't touch my teeth because another dentist had completed the work. I also asked if she would communicate with the dentist who completed my treatment so they could compare records or discuss any concerns. She refused, and the front desk was no help in trying to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, it took nearly an hour just to complete my X-rays during that visit, and the images weren't very clear. I later had new X-rays taken by the dentist who completed my treatment, and they confirmed my teeth were fine. The only issue was the receding gum I originally came in to have evaluated. I also experienced problems when I needed emergency root canals. I was told I had to wait weeks for VA approval, but the VA dentists at Loma Linda later informed me that emergency treatment could have been provided first and billed to the VA afterward. That misinformation left me in unnecessary pain. I was always patient and respectful throughout my treatment. My experience with the office changed after I sought treatment from another dentist. When I returned for an unrelated issue, I felt I was treated differently because I had gone elsewhere to complete my dental work. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this office, especially to fellow veterans who rely on VA referrals.

I was told by one dentist I had a cavity in every tooth (I only had a few), another told me I needed 5 crowns and root canals (which I didnt), then ive received a filling so high I had to go back more than 5 times to keep getting it filed down, ive had the wrong side numbed, my lip sliced, and even the wrong tooth filled. Before the fillings and work was flawless, now whenever my teeth hurt I wonder if I should even bother going in because theres a chance ill come out worse.... At this point the girls at the front desk are doing the best at their jobs They are very sweet, i really enjoy Lindsay

It's 6.5 weeks later and no one gives a rat's ass, apparently. --------------------------- Hello, Dr. Matin. I just spoke with Tracy about the experience I had yesterday at the Sun City office. I first encountered Maribel, who was an absolute delight. I told her that I battle vertigo and that, as an example, I can't go back quickly in the chair or lay flat. We talked about why I was there--partly because a tooth (crown) broke off at the gum line, and mostly because I needed to establish a relationship with a dentist I trust and feel comfortable with. Every step of the way, she checked on me to make sure I was still feeling fine. Enter Dr. Chow--another delight! He detailed everything, offered step-by-step plans for how to tackle the many problems I have, and told me his philosophy about the procedures he would need to perform. We were nearly through the explanation of the plan when he was called to another patient's room and said he would be back. That was perfectly fine with me because I had a lot to absorb. That's when Ali came in. She introduced herself and then immediately asked how much I was willing to pay that day, and if I was able to "do $20,000"! I was shocked at the approach, and told her that we hadn't even finished discussing what all needed to be done. I told her my mom just passed away and I am overwhelmed with her debt (funeral, etc.), probate, and trying to get her house ready to sell. Most people at this point offer an "I'm sorry" (however perfunctory) but not Ali. She was right back on her used-car-sales approach. "Well, how much can you afford today? Are you ready to start the procedures now?" I said, "You're probably too young for the reference I'm about to give...." (I was going to say she sounded like a car dealer trying to sell me undercoating) when she abruptly left the room. I have no idea what I did to offend her so, but I kept waiting for my paperwork (I assumed she was working on it). She was on the computer and did not even acknowledge me as I walked into the waiting room. Finally, she printed and handed me a sheet which did not even cover all the necessary procedures. I needn't go into every boring detail of the encounter with her, but it was ice cold, far from professional, and unpleasant. Moments before, I was thrilled to have found a dentist I felt comfortable with, in an office close to my home, with a sweetheart tech who made sure I was not in any distress. What happened? I haven't the foggiest clue. I wanted you to know about this. Maybe Ali was having a rough day--we all do. But when you're encountering patients/customers/clients, you still need to maintain decorum. I do not believe Ali did that, but I also wanted you to know that Maribel and Dr. Chow were fabulous. Thank you for your time reading this.

I brought her to Your Smile after checking Yelp reviews and they took her insurance. But what really tipped the scales for me was the office manager, Gina. Never have I had someone take the time to listen to my concerns and offer to take good care of my mom. Her first visit was yesterday and I'm hooked. I HIGHLY recommend this dental family to your family. They will take good care of you because they treat you like family! Dr. Le was very sweet, attentive, professional, and warm. My mom loved her (and she is a hard one to convince to like going to the dentist!). Dr. Le made my mom comfortable and we developed a plan of care that will be the most effective and comfortable for my mom to reduce her pain. Thank you, Smile Designer! If I could give 10 stars, I would!!

Once last year, and once today (it has been months since I typed this up). I have been looking for another dentist that takes my insurance but the few local ones I have called don't take my insurance, so I decided to give this place another shot. The reasons I didn't want to come back were because of the dentist and because this office would not stop calling me to make an appointment. To the point where it was not helpful or caring, but honestly just annoying. I kept telling them I will call and schedule. Then they would call me regarding my husband's appointments... and one time they even made him an appointment that he wasn't aware of. Anyway, none of that would keep me from going back... the problem to me is that the dentist seems to rush, is a bit aggressive (I have never told someone to stop the cleaning except her), and is kind of ... how should I say it politely ... insensitive. She was not only in quite a hurry while cleaning my teeth pretty aggressively and making rude comments when I would tell her to stop because she was hurting me, but she was also pretty rude towards her staff. Specially the new guy. I felt bad for him... but anyway this review has been in my drafts and I am finally posting my drafts because I am so tired of supporting businesses that do not deserve my support. Hope this helps someone.

After my disappointing experience at MLDG, I sought treatment from another dentist for teeth #20 and #19. Tooth #20: In October 2025, I received a root canal and the tooth was prepared for a crown. My dental records contain no notes indicating that I might need an implant. Dr. Malik told me the procedure was successful and that the tooth was ready for the permanent crown, stating it should last for years. However, after seeking a second opinion, I was told that tooth #20 lacks sufficient structure and that I need an implant. I have since been referred to a prosthodontist for further evaluation and continued work. Tooth #19: there was decay on this tooth, and Dr. Malik recommended an onlay, which I proceeded with in October 2025. However, the second dentist determined that the tooth actually required a crown, which I ultimately had placed with them. Based on this, the onlay that Dr. Malik did was unnecessary.
