I've been coming here for two years now after a long time procrastinating on preventative dental…read morecare. Got a recommendation from friends, and I can honestly say it's a pleasurable experience, despite my fairly significant anxiety about dentists' offices. I went yesterday expecting to have my regular hygienist, Kathy, only to find she no longer works on Mondays. When I tell you I was completely freaking out inside at the thought of seeing someone new...well, I was freaking out. I was also irritated they didn't let me know about the change so I could have rescheduled with Kathy on a different day. Larhonda was my hygienist yesterday, and I just can't say enough about her. She was gentle, kind, and she empathized with me that Kathy wasn't there. She got me all the comforts I usually need to get through a cleaning - a soft blanket, nitrous, and a neck pillow (I'm a baby about these things, what can I say). She was very reassuring and customer service skills were just off the charts. So in hindsight, this situation actually worked out well. Now I have two kind hygienists at this practice, instead of just one. Larhonda is an excellent addition, and I'll look forward to seeing her again. She's lovely. All the more reason I will remain loyal to this practice and continue to recommend them to people like me, who have severe anxiety over dental visits. I truly appreciate how the entire staff is so kind and validates my fears and helps me to stay regular with my appointments. Thank you all!

Entire staff is the epitome of excellence. They are caring, highly skilled, and client centric, always anticipating your needs, careful to ensure your unique needs are met. Dr. Paul is simply wonderful. I am very dental phobic, yet, I trust him implicitly. He is as gentle as one can be and has never, ever, caused me pain. Keenly skilled, he has the patience of Job, and is truly gifted in his engagement with his clients-he takes the time to know you, to know your family, your general health and well-being. This is a provider who genuinely cares, and it is felt in all your interactions with him. Dr. Paul became my dentist many years back after I experienced a very unfortunate complication from a previous problem and providers. He is the only one who could handle my case. I now travel from out of town to this practice as he is the only one I trust to attend to my needs. Dr. Paul does it all; he has built a practice that covers a wide variety of needs-dental, ortho, endo, cosmetic, etc. You just absolutely can't go wrong in choosing Gilreath Family Dentistry-delivering their legacy of excellence, every single day.

Dr. Perlow is very hands on and has a wonderful bedside manner. She listens and asks questions in order to extend THE best care while educating the patient along the way in manner that makes sense. I trust her because she appears knowledgable and sincere. She made me feel as if she cared about me and not how much she could fleece my insurance or my wallet. My hygenist is Susan who is a total gem. She did my cleaning on Monday and I returned on Friday to let her do my teeth whitening because that is just how great she is. I have never visited a dental practice twice in the same week, but this is how much I adore Sandy Plains Dental Group. I will definitely be here for a long while. ten ten tens across the board

Unacceptable Experience and Concerns Regarding Hygiene and Billing…read more I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received during my recent dental cleaning appointment. My experience was highly concerning due to misrepresentation regarding insurance coverage, questionable billing practices, and, most alarmingly, a severe lack of sterile protocol from the dental assistant. From the outset, I was informed that my routine cleaning would be free as the office was in-network with my insurance carrier. However, when I inquired about potential charges, the staff was evasive and unclear, which immediately raised a red flag. The most concerning aspect of my visit was the dental assistant. She appeared to be new and demonstrated a profound lack of awareness and training. She repeatedly failed to hear or respond to the dentist's instructions, requiring him to repeat himself multiple times. Her hygiene practices were particularly alarming: * She frequently put her gloved fingers in my mouth, then immediately touched the computer screen, and then returned her same gloves to my mouth. * She handled the X-ray gun with these same contaminated gloves, touched the screen again, and then put her fingers back in my mouth. * At one point, she put a pen in her mouth and then proceeded to put her fingers back in my mouth. This blatant disregard for sterile technique significantly increased my anxiety during the appointment. Following this, the dentist informed me that I had tartar and inflammation only on the right side of my mouth and recommended a deep cleaning costing $720. Given the previous issues and my knowledge of my own dental health, this assessment felt disingenuous. I immediately expressed my desire for a second opinion, as I was confident there was no such issue, especially confined to only one side. My insurance plan covers two cleanings per year at no cost. After leaving your office, I promptly scheduled an appointment with another in-network dentist, where I received a proper and thorough cleaning without any issues. However, shortly after my visit to your office, I developed a sore throat, which I strongly suspect was a direct result of the dental assistant's unsanitary practices and cross-contamination. I urge you to address these serious issues immediately, particularly the unhygienic practices of your staff. No patient should be subjected to such a risk of infection. I also recommend a review of your billing transparency and the accuracy of your dental assessments. To the smooth dentist aka Bollywood: don't have your staff lie and say you're in network when you're not. That's fraud. Scamming money from your patients will bring you nothing but bad karma ok Bollywood. So don't do it. Be honest you'll be a better person.

Most importantly, though, I had to take my child in for an emergency appointment after another dental provider canceled on us. Dr. Cornay was able to see us 30 minutes after we called and was able to perform the dental procedure. He gave us a good overview of the pros and cons of the procedure and what to look for during her recovery. He was extremely patient and gentle with my scared little one, who could watch a cartoon during the procedure. Even better- they charged us $1,000 less than the pediatric dentist had quoted us. Thank you Dr. Cornay!
