Great deals and finally, some new looks! While Michael Kors styles seem to look the same season after season, the other day they had several unique handbags using different materials giving the bags a very modern and edgy look. As with all of these designer stores, they put price tags at 4x the value and then use some ridiculously complicated discount plus coupon system to get you to the price, which is really the actual price every single day. Make it stop! No one is even remotely fooled by this! We all know that there are two product lines. One that goes to the flagship stores; and a line with lower quality materials and far less labor that is made specifically for the outlet stores. We are ok with that. Just put the actual price on the merchandise and people will buy it! I'm a whiz at math and I have to pull out the calculator on my phone to figure out that the overly priced belt bag listed at $398 is just $69. Or I have to track down an employee who then has to get a calculator and figure it out. Don't make your customers work this hard to buy your merchandise! OK, I feel a tiny bit better now. On to the actual store and merchandise. The store is very bright and white allowing the merchandise to stand out. Lots of black and white handbags with pops of the in season color making appearances here and there. They have a small amount of clothing, a case with Michael Kors watches, and even some jewelry. I really took my time checking everything out as I have several Michael Kors bags and many handbags in general. Some women love shoes; I fell hard for handbags as a tween and the love affair has never ended. On this day, a small, pale pink bucket bag called out to me and I answered. With its little handle and small size, it's the perfect bag when going out for Happy Hour or dinner, when all you are carrying is your smartphone, sunglasses and a lipstick. I tend to prefer small bags anyway and the color on this one is so soft, so sweet, I had to have it. After using my calculator, the $89 price point was doable, and since it's pink, I decided it would be a Valentine's gift from me, to me. There were lots of people working that day and hardly anyone in the store, but trying to track someone down for a calculator was a chore. They all seemed to be in their own world or chatting with each other like they were at a coffee shop, not at work. Michael Kors, you need to do better! I'm still going to buy a purse if I like the style and price point, but you need to focus on the entire customer experience and make sure it lives up to your Brand promise. read more

I am usually skeptical about one star reviews and have always figured that only one customer had the experience. But I think my experience could happen to anyone. I tried to return a handbag I purchased a couple of weeks ago. Apparently on the receipt in small letters their return policy states that the tag also has to be included. This obviously is not industry standard. When I purchased the bag there was no tag and the sales associate was supposed to document that on the receipt which he didn't. The store manager could not articulate why the policy existed. I had not used the bag but there was a small black dot on the interior of the bag which indicated to the manager that I had used the bag when I had not. I am a 74 year old woman, nicely dressed and polite and could obviously afford to shop there. If you choose to shop there I recommend that you inspect the interior of the bag before leaving and have the sales associate document the status of the interior. I also recommend that you ask for a detailed return policy and see if you can find out why the tag is needed. If you need to return an item be prepared to be made to feel like you are a liar and criminal. Jackie is the manager and Marie was the sales associate who made me feel quite small. read more

Extremely poor customer service! Went in to return a purse I bought 3 days ago as it did not meet my needs. I had the receipt!. But sales associate, Marie, said it couldn't be returned because there was a small spot on the lining....I NEVER USED THE PURSE!. Asked to speak to the manager, Jackie. She was not at all interested in discussing the issue and rather rudely, pushed the purse back at me. No discussion, no apology, no attempt to resolve the issue. When I got home, I tried to post complaint on MK customer service "chat" box. After waiting 15 minutes for Paola, I had written my saga and was answering the information about how to contact me. The outlet store is not recommended. The customer service is TERRIBLE! no wonder Michael Kors has gone down in value and in the market in popularity. I got no help when I was looking around the store. When I discovered that the purses were not leather but polyurethane blend, which by the way was NOT clearly marked in the store I had to wait a couple days . At the time of buying I was assured by the teller that even though one of the purses was a final sale, it would be possible to return. But coming back just 3 days after buying because it takes over an hour one way to get there, I was told that it was incorrect information given to me. I asked for the teller to give me her name and she said she would not and so I asked for the manager. There were 2 managers at the store and the other manager said they were not obligated to give names... this is just a way to cover up terrible customer service. I will certainly NEVER buy a Michael Kors product again. It is much easier to get it online where returns are easier and I don't have to travel 2 hours to buy or return things. Prime and Coach provide better quality and service. And I will certainly be warning all my friends about this store. This face off was with the manager on July 3rd at 1.31 pm. It is also clear after reading several of the reviews that there is a serious problem with the customer service department of this store. I hope Michael Kors is reading these reviews or perhaps such attitude comes from the top! I had to speak with the manager regarding an incorrect price, and instead of apologizing for poor signage, she told me she couldn't possibly sign everything in the store, and then condescendingly told us she was sorry we felt that way when we said we were confused. We have 10 Michael kors items between my daughter and myself and have never been treated that way at the regular store. Maybe that's why she's managing the outlet read more

First time at Woodburn outlet. And this Michael Kors store couldn't done worse. The atmosphere was terrible and very comfortable; staffs didn't even bother to greet. The store seemed not to be busy, but whenever I asked for helps, I only got either a 1-2 words response or some pointing from the staffs. Overall, their collection included the style from old seasons, with decent price and sale. We ended up coming to counter and purchased just a leather cleaner for our purse. Once again, the cashier didn't greet. We asked for a cleaner, he took one bottle from the back, and for the whole payment, still didn't say a single word. And when we came home and tried to clean our purse, it turned out to be the protection bottle. I wouldn't have any other words. Very unsatisfying with the customer services! read more

I was shopping at this store just before Thanksgiving 2020 and as my sister was paying for her purchased I asked the sales clerk a question about the bag I had with me that I purchased less than a year before as the handle was unraveling and purchased at this outlet store and rudely she said that the bag was not from their store as the lining was different. I did purchase at this outlet store and my sister was with me back then but the clerk did not believe me. I have spent time going back through my receipts hoping I could prove her wrong. This past Saturday 1/13/17, I had the most amazing experience with this store #221. I had been looking for this purse the multi cross-body, after dealing with many Michael Kors store, this one was the only one that went out of their way to find it for me. The sales man Corey, was so amazing and created the most pleasant shopping experience that I have ever had. It touched me so much, that I was left with wishing everyone could always experience what I was feeling and what a wonderful world this would be if they could. I ask to speak to the manager to let them know how amazing this sales person was. He was able to find the purse for me that I got two. I was so happy, I later found out that he was the manager. Came here a few weeks ago on a short visit to Portland. Decided to check out the outlet stores since there's no state tax in Portland! I was hoping to find a nice new bag for a good price. I'm giving 2 stars because like another reviewer said, customer service is horrible. I was not greeted on my way in, they did not tell me about any ongoing deals, and nobody helped me. I felt like a lower class citizen there. While I was looking at bags, I heard the other associates kissing up to another tourist girl. Maybe she dressed better than me but the store was practically empty. It was just me and 2 other customers so I don't know why the 2 associates standing in the front of the store and the one guy behind the counters couldn't smile or say hi. I felt weird being ignored there so I walked out of the store. I went to Coach and bought a bag instead. Then after telling my husband that I did find a bag that I liked at Michael Kors but decided not to get the bag since nobody is acknowledging my presence there, my husband convinced me to get the bag if I still liked it. He drove me back after lunch and I went in to buy the bag even though nobody cared about me there. I know. I have no backbone. It's not like I'll get a better deal back at California. I'll have to pay state taxes and that's like over 10% here. What a girl does for bags!!!! It's a new bag vs my pride and dignity... Bag wins!!! read more
