just a heads up this review is mostly about the dog park in the back of the park. since moving to long island a few years ago my partner and i were looking for a local spot to take our corgi puppy and this one was the closest. it ended up being a pretty solid choice. they've made some updates recently like expanding the synthetic turf in the big dog area which is great. the rest of the park still has a mix of sand and gravel on both the small and big dog sides which is fine but gets a little dusty sometimes. on hot summer days there is a little bit of shade which helps but not a whole lot so definitely bring your own water. the fountains are there but they're not super reliable. they've worked on and off over the past few years but lately they've been mostly off. outside of the dog park you can tell the community is really into the tennis and pickleball courts. the parking lot was also recently redone so no more giant dips or weird bumps which is super nice. overall it's a good dog park. not perfect but glad it's nearby. read more

After 6 years the shower still haven't fixed the cold shower water issue. Especially during winter time after using the pool with my toddler, we have to use ice cold shower that is unbearable. The pool water is cold during winter time and my toddler was shivering with purple lips. No floatie, no photo of your own kid, no toys allowed. Thank god I didnt pay membership but paid single resident fee for few times just for the day with huge disappointments each time. Envy about Lakesuccess pool that I saw is beautiful and heard water issue warm and allow floatie for kids. Why we cannot do the same here. Such a shame. read more

The dog park is great. Most people that go are kind, the turf isn't astro turf like older reviews say, maybe they replaced it. My dog loves it and he has fun running around and playing with the other dogs. The part where they go to do their business is all pebbles, and its kinda gross. But the dogs love it. Lots of tennis balls, but I think they should get new, not slobbered and chewed up one lol. There's 2 benches, and a shade cover. It's pretty chill, and I do recommend coming later. The morning crew is just boring, and their dogs seem bored as well. Come around 5-8 pm and there's a bunch of nice people there. The park does eventually close at around 9:45, which is when they shut off the lights. The people playing tennis are super loud, but you kinda tune it out . Very fun park overall. read more

This is a nice place to have in the town. You must be zoned to join this park. The staff is friendly and they will help you determine whether your address is within the zone. There is a playground, dog park, basketball courts, tennis courts etc. they also just built a brand new pickleball court! We do love this place. The prices are very reasonable. We join mostly for the cheap swim classes for the kids. But even without the swim classes, they do have a big pool, they have an area for lap swimming, a slide and a sprinkler area for the younger ones. It's nice to be a part of a community with these amenities. This is a perfect place (hidden gem) to go sledding when there is snow outside!!!!! All those great words and why not 5 stars, because although this place has everything. It's very dated! Everything except the brand new pickle ball courts! read more

The pool is great! However the playground where the kids play is disgusting as well as the bathrooms next to them which are contaminated with an enormous amount of flies. Unfortunately the dog park is by the playground but I guess some people let their dogs poop on the playground where kids run and play which is why I didn't let mine play there. There should be repercussions for anyone who lets their dog poop there and not pick it up. The park should enforce having a nice, clean and safe park. read more

First time going to this park was due to a Italian American fair. At the fair they only charged $1 to get in and had some delicious food and even alcoholic beverages. The park is a little out of the way for me but I found that it has a pool and the location is pretty convenient. I'm not sure if the pool is for residents of the town only, but it's def something to look into. Will post more when I visit again! read more

I like Tully park a lot, but after visiting several other towns' parks, Tully seems very boring. It has a track, turf field, tennis courts, handball courts, a few baseball fields, a jungle gym, and the pool complex. Plus the pool is really expensive, and I'm a resident. $11 for ONE swim? You've gotta be kidding me. I wish there was more of a park aspect rather than just athletic fields. There aren't any picnic tables, no flowers, minimal benches, and altogether seems very lackluster. Would love to see it upgraded into a park that the whole community loves to enjoy. read more

I am a fan of the newly constructed dog park. I recently adopted a rescue puppy and we go to the dog park several times a week. Good: lots of off leash running space, the majority of the dogs and owners are fantastic and my pup loves it here! It has been great and continues to be great for her socialization skills. Not so good: there isn't any shade for the pups or the owners, the fake astro can get very hot, there is a shortage of benches and NO water due to covid. the Bad: owners MUST pick up after your dog...... I'd love for the park to be completed (there was a recent discussion that the dog park was supposed to get a water feature and more benches) I would love for the fur babies to get a shade off area If you have a young pup that needs to socialize I would highly recommend read more

I was training my dog and feeding my dog treats to jump through the tunnel and she came up to me and was yelling and saying to not FEED MY OWN DOG TREATS and the other dog owner said I can help train her dog so I fed her dog treats and she had an attitude because she got an untrained dog. read more

So many dogs love this park along with their owners. I give it two stars because of the current situation but normally 4 1/2 stars. Now that the weather is cooler so many people along with myself are extremely upset that the park/workers are not doing their job. The sink hole on the small side needs to be fixed since August. Now the large dog side is closed and they are not fixing it and delaying it. I keep calling 311 and going there to check it out. I get the runaround. It seems the workers and park don't care at all. Do we not pay enough taxes? Is there not enough manpower? What is it? So many dogs are depressed because of the delay. Will this not get fixed until Winter when they close it due to light snow? Not fair for the dogs or people. read more

No fun pool. That should be thr name of this pool. Thr sprinklers don't go on till noon. You cant take pictures of your kids. No floaties allowed. No pool toys. Don't smile. The pool is not heated either. Nothing special about this place. Lakesuccess community pool is heated. You can wear floaties. They have toys and cabanas. This place is not worth the money. read more

Great park for all ages. Indoor swimming pool is very kid friendly but a bit expensive if you are not a resident.

The park was lovely. We had our daughter's 12th birthday party here and they all loved it. They loved the slide at the pool and spent at least half an hour on it. The people were super nice and allowed us in 30 minutes before to set up. read more

There are a lot safeguards in the pool, but they are mean to all swimmers including kids. Kids were playing and running in the shallow water, meanwhile a safeguard came over to yell at them without even talked to the parents. No photos, no T-shirt, no pulling rope, no running, no playing. I don't know it is a swimming pool, or it is a jail. read more

Would have given the park a higher rating , but the hand ball courts are really neglected. The white lines on the courts are hardly visible and the court has a incline which really hinders play. Also has many cracks where the ball gets lost under the concrete. Shame all our tax money can't allot for some improvements of the courts :/ read more

The pool is great. I love the layout. I've removed stars only because I've found that over the last year the water in the showers has gone from hot to tepid, cool and now finally ice cold. It's extremely unpleasant to swim laps for an hour and then take an ice cold shower. I've inquired several times what the issue is and when it will be repaired. All I hear from the staff is a recommendation to call 311 and lodge a boiler complaint. This is beyond annoying. I have to say as much as I love the pool, if the situation isn't rectified I'm not going to renew our yearly membership. I'll swim in the gym instead. read more

Softball Field #2 condition is horrible. The infield is sand-like with stones all over. The dug-out stinks like urine and left field is unlevel and very wavy. I've emailed Bosworth SEVERAL times, and her reply is that she'll advise the parks commissioner...who's done nothing to address the issues. I feel sooo sorry for the North Hempstead taxpayers. Bosworth cares more for the dogs in the park than the taxpaying public. HUGE disappointment. read more

Great Park with Tennis Court and Multiple Basketball Courts, Baseball Field, football field and running track... They have indoor pool and gym for membership fee.. It's great place to workout and do cardio as well.. read more

Great for activities, sports, walking the track. Not great for little ones as there is no playground. Its well lit at night and there are usually people around and sports practices going on. Over all nice place. read more
