Each of the two dentists I had seen left the practice and each time, the owners instructed all the staff to NOT tell patients they were leaving. I found out when I was sitting in the chair at my next appointment and was told I would be seeing a dentist I'd never met. After the second time, I switched to a different practice. I have had doctors and dentists retire or move and they or the practice always informed me. I found the secrecy to be very disrespectful. So I paid the out of pocket of $350 and did the cleaning. Two months later they said the insurance actually won't cover it and I owe another $550. Typically there is more transparency if you're taking a gamble with the insurance company and you may have to pay more. The insurance company denied the claim because there was no evidence of the cleaning needed....so why was it presented to me as critical? It's beyond frustrating to put your trust in a new medical professional and then feel like you're oversold for them to make a profit from either the insurance company or the patient individually.

But the bigger problem was getting Invisalign from Dr. Townes -- what a nightmare. She shaved a gap between my front teeth, saying that they would push back together once the overcrowding of the side teeth pulled out. I had a horrible feeling letting her do this; my intuition, which I didn't listen to, was warning me this would be a permanent issue. When the diagnosis was that it would only take 5 months of treatment, I thought that also seemed rushed. Sure enough at the end (and I wore the trays religiously), the teeth were not fully pushed out and the gap is still visible. PLUS, I kept paying the practice for services and banging on their door to deliver them! I paid for the Invisalign in full, and then had to actually show up in the office after two months and ask them when my treatment would start. Every time I would call they'd put me off. Same thing happened with my retainer. I plopped down $350 for the retainer, which I thought may help correct what was still wrong with my teeth. They said it would take 2 - 3 weeks to arrive. At 3 weeks I called. Again, they kept putting me off! I was worried about all my money and effort being thrown out the window because I had no maintenance. So when over a month had gone by I went to the office to complain...again. And they still hadn't ordered it!!!! I talked to the dentist directly; she seemed absolutely clueless as to what was going on with me (dental "care" - wow). Whenever I would call the desk staff would ask me about my "treatment plan" as if they have absolutely no patient records on file. WTF??? It was two months by the time they gave me my retainer, the day before I was about to leave the country for three months. And, of course -- it didn't fit!! The bottom one didn't fit AT ALL because my teeth had shifted so much in the wait, so I just threw that away, and top one just fits around the front teeth and hangs off the back rendering it uncomfortable and probably ineffective. They offered to order me a new one when I got back. What a joke. And throughout all of this, they would call me nearly every two weeks, trying to schedule me for cleanings $$. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!

No explanation of why or what services I never paid for (they collect payment before they do the service every time). I called the number the email they told me to on the email, and it said it wasnt in service and to call the main number. I call the main number and they said they are just messengers and cant help me and they needed to i needed to call the billing dept. and gave they gave me the number that was disconnected. This is place is a racket, please avoid at all costs.
