He's a very good dentist. He doesn't belong to any group, he has his own practice, and makes most of his own appointments. He is very conscientious and good at his job, and he tells you what is going on while he is working. Plus, he gives you lots of good advice about your dental health. I went to four dentists before I found this guy, after experiencing incredible pain. No other dentists were comfortable or capable of diagnosing the problem, and one of them sent me home with an incredible list of procedures they told me I'd need. I brought the list to Dr. DeLorenzo after discovering that the former dentist was not covered by my insurance. Good thing I did too because he informed me that the other dentist's plan for me was ridiculously padded, and what I needed was a basic root canal. He also informed me that his first responsibility as a doctor was to ease hi patient's pain. Those two things had me hooked. I agree with everything said by everyone else before me: this man is old school, will not recommend needless and costly procedures, and will go to great lengths to schedule you and address any problems as quickly as possible. He also enjoys taking his time and explaining what is happening in your mouth, instead of just shoving a bunch of tools in your mouth and telling you to hang on for dear life. His office is simple and makes no attempts at frills, just like Dr. DeLorenzo. Do not take this as a signal that this dentist is anything other than 100% competent, honest, and patient service-oriented. He is and will always be my favorite dentist ever in the history of all of my dental experiences. read more

Dr. DeLorenzo is without a doubt the best dentist I've ever had! I had a crown replacement done a couple of months ago and I couldn't be happier with the results! The whole procedure was smooth and easy. He explained every step of the process so I knew exactly what to expect. He was very attentive to my financial concerns, keeping the cost of my treatment as low as possible (he is not the kind of dentist that "recommends" unnecessary treatments or products). Dr. Michael DeLorenzo is the best dentist I've ever had. He is gentle and thorough, and very knowledgeable. He is the only dentist who cleans my teeth without pain, and he does it himself rather than enlisting a dental technician. He provides best options for dental problems, keeps costs down by doing only what is necessary, and his referrals are excellent. Recently I had emergency repair to a tooth that had cracked and broken apart, and within 90 minutes, I could not tell which tooth he had worked on - he is that good. In this Coronavirus period, I would not trust anyone but Dr. DeLorenzo. His office is simple, his prices considerably lower than most, and his work superb. read more

Dr. DeLorenzo is a very nice guy and a good dentist. He's straightforward and explains everything he does. My overall experience in going to him for a simple cleaning was excellent. It was quick and painless. My only complaint is that his business is run in a very casual manner which led to issues in billing my insurance company for the charges. Eventually it got settled and his office was able to bill my insurance for all charges, but only after significant effort on my part to provide my address 4-5 times and only after I had received 3 voice messages from his staff requesting my payment. Dr DeLorenzo was apologetic and blamed it on a new back-office system they had recently installed. read more

While another dentist I tried told me that I needed four cavities done, Dr. DeLorenzo told me that I only somewhat needed one; he ended up giving me a partial plastic-based filling that I've practically forgotten even happened at this point. Dr. DeLorenzo has a great "bedside" manner: very warm and personable. He provides a fairly detailed explanation of any treatments and recommendations that he makes. True story: At 6:05 p.m. this Friday night, a crown fell off into a bite of food in my mouth. Grabbing the crown with one hand and the phone with the other, I call Dr. DiLorenzo. Call taker says he's driving home and she connects me to him in one minute. He arrived at my house within ten minutes (yes, a HOUSE CALL), pulls out a bright forehead light, looks at the crown and my mouth and announces "good news." Within five minutes he reinserts and secures the crown. Dr. D leaves before 6:30 p.m. House call completed, my weekend is saved and the crown feels great. Dr. DeLorenzo is a terrific dentist. He never suggests unnecessary (and costly) procedures, tries to sell you anything, is truly kind and friendly (kids love him), answers all questions, explains what he's doing as he goes along, does all the teeth cleaning (my mouth never felt or looked bettert). Seven years ago another dentist told me I needed two hours of "pre-cavity" work (watch out for that money maker). I didn't schedule it and started seeing Dr. D. Perfect checkups ever since and no suggestion of "pre-cavity" dentistry. This is an honest, compassionate talented and wonderfully funny man. I wish it was possible to give him more than five stars. Imagine, a house call by a dentist on a Friday night! This fine dentist should be your dentist. read more
