I have been going to him for nearly two years and he always apologizes for being late. His apology runs hollow because he is always late and the office has done nothing to correct the overbooking. His staff just doesn't care. Today, after waiting for nearly an hour, I told the nurse this inconsiderate of patients' time and I was leaving. Plus warned them not to bill Medicare. She did not seem to care.

Let me start by saying there is nothing sexy or pleasant about going to the foot doctor. But by far…read morethe best patient doctor and staff experience I have had anywhere. I visited the Broward Blvd location (off las olas) in Fort Lauderdale. The place was immaculate and modern, the staff was very friendly and there was no wait. The assistant was so pleasant. Made me feel super comfortable, very friendly. She was fantastic! Doctor Strauss blew me away. 99.9% of doctors try to churn and burn patients through the office. Upselling them with unnecessary items or tests. When asking if I should get custom orthotics to help with my planter faucitis - straight up said absolutely not. It is a waste of money. Same with other items I saw online that might help. He was straight forward and unbelievably knowledgeable. He diagnosed my foot pain immediately. Had suggested two options for treatments. I opted for a cortisone shot in my foot because it has been so painful all the time and I wanted an immediate fix. He and the nurse helped baby me through it (because I am a big one and tend to pass out with the thought of needles). He took his time and made sure I felt comfortable the whole way through. Thank you. If anyone is looking for a foot doctor - you don't need to look any further.

Before Dr. Shenassa repaired my broken wrist, it would have been a freaken miracle. I tripped in my backyard and fell with my arms extended, so I broke my wrist. Dr. Shenassa assessed my hand and scheduled me for a repair surgery. It took about a minute to realize he is smart. After our time together, I left the appointment knowing he was worthy of my trust. The surgical center is the same one that my orthopedic surgeon uses, so the anesthesiologists knew me and it was a successful and uneventful surgery. Dr. Shenassa called me that night to make sure I was doing ok. His office team met with me and assessed me until I was recovered from the surgery and on my way to building strength. I broke my wrist 1/6/2025. I was able to use my hand a couple of months after the surgery. It took about a year for me to recover my maximum wrist strength. Now, 18 months after I broke my wrist, every time I use it, I think of my surgeon and how he helped me keep going. When I show my wrist scar to hospital and orthopedic professionals, they are amazed at the work.

They got me right in for my first visit, and took all of my insurance info over the phone so I was set to go the day of my appointment. From my first consultation, I felt I was in the best hands (pun intended). The team was incredibly thorough in explaining my diagnosis and the procedure, answering all my questions, and addressing the concerns I had about life after surgery. The day of the surgery went smoothly. The surgical team at the center was excellent. Everyone introduced themselves and I felt confident knowing I was being cared for by some of the best in the field. After surgery they provided detailed instructions for recovery and were always available for follow-up questions. My recovery was a piece of cake and I was back to work in no time. Overall, if you're looking for the best for hand surgery, look no further than the hand team at Sports Medicine Associates. Their professionalism, compassion, and expertise are unparalleled. Instead of receiving a simple answer, I was immediately told to contact my insurance company to verify coverage. The staff gave me the doctor's ID number and said it was my responsibility to find out if my plan was accepted. I specifically asked whether they take Florida Blue, and again was told to call my insurance company. The conversation felt dismissive and unhelpful, and the call was ended abruptly. I understand patients need to verify their benefits, but basic information such as whether the office is accepting new patients or participates with a major insurer should be communicated clearly and professionally. Unfortunately, this interaction left me with a very poor first impression. Nady S
