That dentist marketed themselves as children's dental specialist and had the whole super fun office with games and totally geared towards kids-the actual dentists, not so much. My daughter is one that is scared of the dentist and they basically put her in a stronghold and yanked out teeth all the while she was screaming bloody murder and crying hysterically. One thing I hate more than anything is when someone else tells you your kid is not in pain or that they know your child more than you do. My daughter was in pain and scared sh*tless. That being said, going into her appointment to have her dental work done at Children's Dental, I knew it wouldn't be easy for her. She barely let them clean and examine her teeth on our first appointment, and the day of the actual procedure, I did not go back with her per the office "rules". She was sedated her which I'm sure made all the difference in the world. All of the assistants/hygienists that we dealt with were very nice and great with both of my kids and Dr. Scholzen, was amazing with my daughter. After her procedure he was holding her in the recovery room, and even though I'm not a super sentimental/emotional person, I thought that was hella cool of him because most dentist just do their job and on to the next patient or have an assistant go do that stuff. Kudos for him for truly caring about his patients. I think it's awesome that they let the kids have a book after appointments; I'm a fan of practical treats. The balloons are also a huge hit with my daughter. As for the wait times, both times we went-one for exams/cleanings and the other for my daughters procedure-we waited 25ish minutes which I've found to be about the norm.

The facility is quite clean and the receptionists, dental assistants and dentists have all been so kind and smiley. The dentist took time to go over with me what to expect as my son's permanent teeth came in and was very reassuring and willing to answer questions. The kids love receiving tokens at the end of the visit to redeem at the little toy machines, too! I do wish that the children's alcove in the waiting area had more toys or books, but I consider that lack a VERY small price to pay for such excellent service. My kids actually enjoy dental visits now.

Took my 3 kids here for their annual exam and cleanings. One of my kids refused to be seen, but the…read moreother two had cleanings and imaging done. Dentists came after and discussed the dental work that needed to be done on both of them. Looked like they needed fillings top and bottom on both sides. They suggested sedating them so they could complete one side at a time. That means each child would have at least 2 appointments and be sedated each time. I asked to see the images and where the cavities were and the dentist flipped the screen on quickly pointed at on tooth and turned it back off right away. Seemed irritated I asked. I have personally never been to a dentist where they didn't have the images up. Mom gut said absolutely not. Took them to a different pediatric dentist today and one cavity. ONE CAVITY! This disgusting human was going to sedate my 6 and 10 year old not once, but 2-3 times to do work that didn't exist! You know how disgusting that is? Avoid them at all costs. Save your child trauma and yourself the money.
