The dentist took time to go over with me what to expect as my son's permanent teeth came in and was very reassuring and willing to answer questions. The kids love receiving tokens at the end of the visit to redeem at the little toy machines, too! I do wish that the children's alcove in the waiting area had more toys or books, but I consider that lack a VERY small price to pay for such excellent service. My kids actually enjoy dental visits now.

While Dr. Scholzen might not always be the deliverer of the best news, he is honest in his work and will take good care of your child. I was…read moreworried about taking my youngest in for his first check up, thought he d be nervous and fight, so I let them know my concerns, and they were extremely patient and gentle with him, even let us come in the day before his appointment to get a little tour. That was over a year ago. Now my son, as well as my older children, literally cheer when I tell them they have a dentist appointment. They love going to the dentist and are sad they have to wait another 6 months to go again! I appreciate that the staff have never once left me waiting. Last time I took 2 kids in for cleanings, we were in and out in 20 minutes flat. That s cleanings & exams, didn't do xrays this time. 20 minutes! How awesome is that?? My kids were actually disappointed that they didn' t get more time to play with the toys in the waiting room :-)

Took my 3 kids here for their annual exam and cleanings. One of my kids refused to be seen, but the…read moreother two had cleanings and imaging done. Dentists came after and discussed the dental work that needed to be done on both of them. Looked like they needed fillings top and bottom on both sides. They suggested sedating them so they could complete one side at a time. That means each child would have at least 2 appointments and be sedated each time. I asked to see the images and where the cavities were and the dentist flipped the screen on quickly pointed at on tooth and turned it back off right away. Seemed irritated I asked. I have personally never been to a dentist where they didn't have the images up. Mom gut said absolutely not. Took them to a different pediatric dentist today and one cavity. ONE CAVITY! This disgusting human was going to sedate my 6 and 10 year old not once, but 2-3 times to do work that didn't exist! You know how disgusting that is? Avoid them at all costs. Save your child trauma and yourself the money.

But I've found my dental wingman. His office fit me in before the end of the year so that I could take advantage of unused dental benefits. Dr. Ellis fixed two problematic crowns and took the time to create one of the crowns twice until he got a perfect fit. He was very concerned about the quality and fit of everything he did, and he was also very gentle. I didn't feel a thing when he administered the shots! His front and back office staff were all professional and friendly. His facility is modern, clean, and equipped with all the latest state-of-the-art equipment. He makes all of his own crowns so there's no return visit required. If you're new in town or looking for a new dentist, seriously...look no further.
