His nurse then proceeded to rush me into signing up for the surgery and scare me with random facts. I later went to a second opinion at texas children's hospital where they said that he did not even have grade 2 tonsils - and they xrayed his adenoids and found no enlargement. I believe Dr Liu and staff are con artists. The hospital confirmed we are not the first to experience this. I hope no parents let this man fool them into unnecessary procedures for their children.

He personally checked on me prior to the surgery, which effectively communicated his caring bedside manner. After going home, the afternoon was uneventful. However, by 8:00 p.m., the bleeding started, and I had questions. I immediately called the answering service and Dr. Neilan responed quickly. He assured me that all was "normal" and gave additional suggestions for comfort. By late evening, I had more questions, so I followed calling the answering service again. Again, Dr. Neilan responded quickly. Talked me through what was happening, which calmed me down. He also told me to come to his office the next morning for additional help, which I did. It was a great help to have him clean initially, which opened my way for breathing. It just goes on and on.....each time he was there for me in a very positive, caring attitude. Glad to know that the Dr we saw tries all the nasal sprays.. so he knows first hand how to make a child feel comforted! He also doesn't push surgery first. Much appreciated! We finally found one that works for now... unfortunately, the Dr wasn't willing to give a sample without taking the prescription with it. Glad it worked out in the end.. but still... should not have to feel pressured to invest in a medication that doesn't work for the child. Also, why do they recommend having speciality meds sent to a specific pharmacy when I can use the one I have?!?'
