Besides the medical aspects,he talks to me about school and life,so my visits have always been conversational with him. For physical check ups, appointments aren't readily available as there is a pretty long wait. That's why I gave it a 4 stars because he is quite busy. But, what can you do when he is located in the heart of Chinatown and can speak Vietnamese well to offer service to the older generation that isn't fluent in English? An attentive doctor and being fluent in his native tongue is going to be a popular one. Some things I want to point out is that the staff is average...I don't feel welcome sometimes because they don't say much but I brush it off since my agenda is to see the doctor. The bathrooms are clean and the clinic also has a room to draw blood so you can get that done there. Overall, he is really nice and enthusiastic. She makes the visit even better even when I'm feeling like complete and utter crud. The review that said she explains to the doctor how he's wrong and he doesn't listen - that's not what you do! Don't attack. Express the results you did have and request the exploration of other solutions. Just because things don't go as you'd hoped doesn't mean someone's wrong. The truth is, a lot of things are trial and error, and escalating strife is rarely a good idea. This is common psychology and philosophy for communication. Maybe her communication skills are the problem. Charm can go a long way! Just saying. He must be doing something right or her old mother wouldn't insist on coming back to him. Her health problems probably have more to do with being 93 than anything else and you can't fix that. I'm sorry to go on about that, but it just incensed me. And I cannot imagine in my wildest dreams the doctor would call in CPS if he didn't think there might be a domestic problem. A suspicion and concern are not a direct accusation. Something just requires further investigation and better safe than sorry. As for my care, he's been nothing but sympathetic, knowledgeable, and kind. He's a good doctor. When my problem was out of his wheelhouse, he told me and I went to a specialist. No problem. I highly recommend Dr. Walker and his office.

When my child was an infant, we decided to give this doctor a try because I'd done research and…read morethere was nothing but good reviews, so having to write this is beyond crazy. To make a long story short, my baby was having difficulties gaining weight and the doctor gave us options on what kinds of formulas we could try and once we came back in for a check up we told the doctor that we couldn't see any change in his weight. He wasn't losing weight and he wasn't gaining. So he told us to go to a specialist at Texas Children's, so we went on his advice. Our child was evaluated, then a hospital doctor was called in to talk to us. As the doctor began to tell us about our baby, he told us that Dr. Walker had reported us to CPS, saying that we were not feeding our child, which was not the truth. Our baby, to this day, is an extremely picky eater. Why would parents who come to a doctor with a concern about their child's weight, seeking help, turn us over to CPS? As parents, this was the biggest slap in the face we ever experienced, I cried in disbelief. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it. We had to stay in the hospital for days while staff kept an eye on our baby and had a CPS person come ask us about how we raise our children, our home life, etc. It didn't stop there, it was the holiday season, and we had to be away from our home and when we did get home with our baby, we still had a home visit with CPS which they came to the conclusion that where was no foul play in our home. It hurts when someone thinks that you don't take care of your child(ren), especially when you bring them to someone who says they can help you. After our home visit the CPS said that she didn't have any reason to believe that our baby was in danger because of how we kept our home and the good condition of our other children. We were forced to see Dr. Walker again for a checkup after we left the hospital and it was the most degrading experience of our lives. We will never be the same. Being a doctor that we trusted and also doing this and something else to us in one of our appointments which we don't think was acceptable, was one of the worst things that has ever happened. We have never been back and never will go back. I said all this to say, he may not like a particular type of people that become patients of his, but be careful. This is not a good man in my opinion and I hate I found him online. I'm just fortunate our children do not remember this happening, but unfortunately we will never forget.

Despite the steep cost, I remained loyal and cut back on expenses at home to afford his care. He is a great doctor, in he listens and has good bed side manner; and I would recommend him to anyone but you can't be late for any reason or you'll be charged. (He has no showed my husband before and we didn't get any compensation or an apology) Recently, I was delayed by an awful car accident on 45 and informed him immediately that I would be 15 minutes late. Rushing my family in traffic and desperately needing my appointment I was hopeful he would be understanding and not cut my appointment time. Instead of being understanding, he insisted I pay the full price for the remaining time in the slot and show up late. As a long-time patient, this treatment feels enraging. He has never extended my appointments so this was a first time occurrence, yet I am expected to pay full price despite unforeseen circumstances. (Mind you I pay out of pocket) It's disheartening to make personal sacrifices for a physician who doesn't reciprocate with basic human understanding.
