I signed up for the teleseminar last year and it was motivating, however they get you pumped up with the ra ra aspect. I ended up buying into the premium package as a 21 year old, $3k is a lot of money. The two day weekend was pressed onto me as Danielle said that Michael "was in the room saying I should" and so I did. As a 21 year old, $2,900 is a lot of money. I was never able to afford to go to the weekend with flight and room, and they never refunded me any of the encore weekend ticket I bought even though I didn't go. Have emailed Danielle and Michael multiple times asking for a refund for a product I never experienced, yet no reply. Over the years I've been to many personal growth seminars. This is the first time I've left a multi-day seminar before the end of the first day. I attended a 3-day seminar with Robbins almost 20 years ago, and it was the greatest seminar I'd been to. I also have a lot of his tape programs. Bernoff's was a poorly done copy. If any of his insights were original, I missed them. Where Robbins went from point A to point M with incredible clarity in each step, Bernoff's explanations and conclusions were disjointed and hard to make sense of. Many muddled points were followed by raising his hand and signalling the audience to do the same, while saying something like "Did you see that?" or "Did you get that?". People raised their hands out of habit. His use of the "F" bomb was even explained the same way Robbins did. The difference was that it was a ridiculous explanation, and he "F"-bombed everything. Robbins only used it rarely for effect. Another thing that I guess most people were blind to is that it seemed he would pick the people most timid to go up on stage to participate. Then it was like he would intimidate and bully them into agreeing with him, as if they were magically cured of some issue. It was laughable. One woman in particular was so fearful up on the stage, I should have gone up and rescued her. I think she was close to tears. She'd have agreed to anything. And here's the thing that pissed me off the most. The way he treated people would be considered bullying anywhere else. Robbins would sometimes tease people, but it was always with a smile and you always knew he cared. Bernoff was downright mean, but would say he did it because he cared, with absolutely no trace of sincerity. I paid money to see this guy to get something out of it. After we decided not to return, I realized a weight was lifted. I couldn't put up with another minute of this guy's bullshit, scatter-brained presentation of material I'd already heard given with incredible clarity by Tony Robbins, or the terrible way he treated people. Of course he'll say there's a strategy for treating people the way he does, but there's an old saying that applies. "Don't piss down my back and tell me it's raining". Save your money and go to a Tony Robbins event. read more

I took the 5-day free course via phone. I feel I received a lot of good information. I consequently signed up, albeit hesitantly as it was a lot of money. The webinars that followed were disastrous. The virtual experience turned chaotic and disjointed with muting and un-muting, trying to find people on screens, etc. It was completely distracting and disruptive. It just was not for me. I reached out for a refund and got a call back right away by a woman named Theresa. Nice, they respond so quickly, I thought. The conversation did not go well. Theresa was anxious and defensive and not interested to hear me out. She kept telling me the great value I had received for my money, and that I had missed the three-day deadline to change my mind when I first signed up. I was so surprised by the lack of willingness to work something out as most businesses would. Who does not want happy customers? And it is just the descent thing to do. Instead Theresa was literally arguing with me. I was told that there was more information so I should stick it out and then I was told I had received all information in the portal, so it was too late to get anything back. I signed up in June and this conversation was in July. How could this be? And then finally I was told that "If you buy car insurance and do not have an accident you cannot call and claim any money back." What? It was a very strange conversation and very surprising that holding on to the money with such a tight fist would be the priority. Please everyone, be careful out there. I caution signing up for things on Facebook before carefully vetting the business first. It is so easy to get carried away. This company has a slogan, "Average sucks."
