He was late, rude and condescending. He is always running behind. He spends 5 minutes with he's patients. Him and his staff are not of the same page. The office staff is rude and ghetto. Well lets just say that I missed the opportunity in having Dr. Krinsky as my doctor thanks to his unprofessional and incredibly rude staff. As a new patient, I would expect to be greeted polietly and addressed professionally as this is supposed to be a professional establishment. Calling to set up an inital appointment and unsure of who to speak with, I had the pleasure of dealing with Jessica. A teenager it seems who had no problem tellng me that I should have been clear about who I needed to speak with. After her rudely transfering me, I decided then that surely a staff who behaves this way can only mean the practice is not respected and I will not have my care in there hands. I decided to call and at least inform the doctor about my experience, and sure enough guess who the manager is. Yep, Jessica! I asked the other teenage girl who answered the phone named Maryann for a way to address a complaint, and her attitude displayed the same careless way as Jessica, so instead of helping me, she decided to pass me along to the other teenager Deana. This is starting to get fun now for them, I guess they have no real work to do. Deanna acted incompident and careless as well and passed me to guess who. Jessica! Yaaay! Well, here we go. I asked Jessica for a way that I could reach the doctor as I was not happy with the way I had been treated today. She said no. and then procedded to give me her personal hotmail email address. SInce I can not reach you Dr. Krinsky, be very aware that your staff is behaving this way and you unfortunately just lost a patient. I was eager to meet you and I hope you fix this. read more

Best doctor! He and I had a great NYC vibe and connection. He is funny, smart, caring and a brilliant surgeon. I always felt safe and protected. He is a wonderful advocate and human being. Dr. Krinsky is a good doctor. Friendly & thorough. The X-ray techs are competent and also amicable... However the reception staff are completely inept. I have called 8 separate times in 2 weeks and left 3 messages to reach Angela (MRI scheduler) so that I may track the progress of my condition. Never a return call, no response. The one time I did reach her (prior to the 8 calls and 3 messages) she said she would call me back immediately after looking over my case (which she even mentioned she brought up on the computer, but could not talk with me at that moment, b/c she was helping another patient), but I still have not heard from her! Hence my incessant calling. Anywho, this week I have called thrice. Today 8/26/08 I can't stand waiting anymore (I have major pain in my knees and need an MRI done to evaluate what the problem may be) so I have called 4 times and the receptionist keeps putting me on the voicemail. On the last call she puts me in the "hold" loop for 5min. EFF that. I am now in search for a new orthopedic doctor that has an actual "receptionist" and "scheduler" that can help me. What really sucks is that this rant is more about the receptionist and not the doc. Anyone that has to have MRI's done, be wary! read more

I have been seeing Dr. Krinsky on and off for most of my life. I have found him to be one of the best Dr's out there especialy as he tells you what he actually thinks and gives you options. What I will say is that he is a straight shooter. He absolutely tells it like it is and does not sugar coat anything. He has amazing referals for PT and others - but key to ortho work is that you have to show up and do your PT and your homework - and the office will push you to do that. I am someone who would rather have it straight, deal with a total professional, be treated like an adult and be a partner in my care. I get all that from Dr. K. When I had a serious issue with my back, he refered me to the most amazing neuro guy and supported me thorugh the whole thing. I have seen him for ankles, knees and shoulders over the years and every time I come back stronger. I can not thank him enough for that. It's a busy office - so bring a book. Be patient though, because once you see the Dr. it is all about you and your care. read more

I see kudos for Dr. Krinsky and they are well deserved. He was courteous, professional and personable. I am very thrilled with the results of my arthroscopic surgery. Dr. Krinsky ROCKS! I have seen Dr. Krinsky for nearly 40 years. He has performed a few surgeries, achilles . meniscus, rotator cuff, torn lebrum and two total knee replacements. I have been heavily involved in sports, particularly fastpitch softball, all these years. Each surgery was done to perfection with fantastic results that got me back on the ballfield at 100% capacity. Dr. Krinsky has been my husband and I's doctor for more years then I can count. He stands tall in the field of Orthopedic surgeons. A while back ago I went to see a Dr. of orthopedics close to my home, he would not entertain the idea of replacing my knee. (I had already had 4 scopes on it and that Dr.did not do knee replacements) so with my pain tapped out I reluctantly went to see this Dr. in hopes of getting a knee replacement. Not only did he not see me himself, he sent his assistant in to tell me they would not be able to help me because of my size and that could be a risk. (by the way my BP and all my other vitals are perfect and have always been that way) I responded to his turn down of my request by telling his assistant, who was he (the Dr.) to determine my quality of life in such a way. Also I feel it is so easy to become a highly looked upon Dr. of orthopedics when you pick and choose your patients. Funny how that works. This Dr. has a brand new knee replacement center in Fremont.Probably because hes so successful with those average weight, in shape patients. (by the way my husband was one of those patients he choose to do surgery on. He is in very good shape and plays tennis several times a week,,,,,hummm...and now has two new knees) Now with all that being said it leads up to Dr. Krinsky, who's philosophy is to help his patients of all walks of the earth to receive the care that will award them a better quality of life. Initially I take the blame for seeing another Dr.,only because he was in the same town as myself and it seemed that everything would be so much closer. My mistake and shame on me. I knew and have always known that Dr. Krinsky is a doctor who truly cares and is an asset to his field. He is a no nonsense type of Dr. and if you mistake him for anything other then the perfectionist he is that will be your loss. If you want it done and done right the first time around the you must see him. If he can not help you with your aliment then believe me he knows who can. He has connections that only the best have. He demands the best because he is the best. A great human, a great man, an outstanding surgeon. And Mr. Biggie Smalls you could stand to educate yourself a little more on Dr. Krinsky. Dr. Krinsky became my doctor 40 years ago and I have traveled from as far away as Minnesota, lately from Oregon, to see and be treated by him. Dr. K. could tell me red is white and I'd believe him because he won't lie or give false hopes just to pacify a patient. He has always been caring and had my best interests and best results in mind along with being the consumate professional. He has also become a dear friend over these past 4 decades and I have relied on him for referrals to other practioners. I have also relied on him for explanations of some of my other, local doctors' medical procedures and treatments when my local doctors were less than forthcoming. I have found Jessica, the office manager, and his other staff, from receptionists, to X-ray tech, and cast/equipment tech, to be very helpful and professional whether I'm calling long distance or in the office to be seen. Dr. K has been my doctor since May 2000. Because of him I am walking today! Orthoscopic on right knee meniscus tear in 2000, 2002 Left Knee meniscus tear, 2006 right knee re-tear, and in 2013 TKR of right knee. The care and concern over the years keeps me going back. He is a "no nonsense", "do your part", "work hard kind" of doctor. I have referred quite a few friends to him, all enjoy the results and care they received. 16 years and counting! So it's been about 10 years since my husband had a knee replacement. He's never been pain free. Hurts if he exerts himself too much. And although he needs the other one done (bone on bone), it doesn't hurt as much as his replacement. He takes norco every day just to survive and then to sleep. But still wakes up at night in pain. Krinsky never said this doesn't seem right, that something must have gone wrong. My husband thought it was just the way a knee replacement went. The other day we found out Krinsky put in the wrong size knee!!!!! Wow. Completely incompetent Doctor! He has been suffering for years for nothing. New doctor, new knee coming. I have always suffered with tightness in my upper back, shoulders and base of neck. For at least 30 + years I suffered with a knot just under my right shoulder blade near the middle and top of my back. I would get deep tissue massage until my back was sore to touch. I've had knees and elbows during vigorous trying to get that muscle to relax and it was always very temporary relief. THEN I saw doctor Krinsky. He was very thorough and after a MRI, he found the problem was in my neck and that it was referred pain for a neck issue. I asked him for a shot right into that knot and it worked!!! I have been virtually pain free from that knot since May 2013. I wish I knew of him sooner. Also he is a great listener! read more

I live in Oakland and needed a great orthopedic doctor. Like anyone, I was a bit apprehensive prior to my surgery. But Dr. K was very calming and reassuring. You can't help but feel like you're in good hands. Thanks to Dr. K, my left elbow is like brand new again! Three months after my procedure I was back to work and playing competitive softball. Amazing experience from making appt to consultation and treatment by Dr Krinsky and his staff. Fast, efficient, caring, professional and really wants to hear what the patient has to say. I am uninsured and both staff and the doctor do everything they can to minimize the cost and maximize the service. I would rate Dr. Krinsky as one of the best, however his staff is less than competant. His so-called P.A.,Angelia should go back to school and learn how to deal with the public, espscially if they are in pain. I started seeing Dr.k. in the mid 70s. I have had 7 lower lamis, and 1 cervical. In 2002 I moved to az.. Have tried many times to get a hold of Dr.K. but always Angelia said she would have him return my call. It is now 2013 and I still have not heard from Dr. or Angelia. Thank the Lord I have the Best pain management Dr. in the world. What a piece of work...I would give negative stars if I could because he doesn't deserve the one star...He was late, rude and condescending. I paid out of pocket for the consultation since I don't have insurance ($160 for a 2minute visit). He barely talked to me seemed like he was in rush and told me that I needed a brace...came in and gave me a brace..It was never explained that I would need to pay a different company for the brace or that I would get a bill I assumed that it was part of the hefty consult fee. He asked that I make an apt to see him in 2 wks...NO THANKS buddy...The front office made an appt for me without me knowing...didn't even call me to remind and then sent me a $25 missed appt fee. REALLY...I called to explain that I didn't make the appt. and the answer I got was OH WELL..so sorry it is what is...if that wasn't BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE wait till hear you this.....then I got a bill from Pacific Medical for the brace...The brace didn't even fit properly and I didn't even use it and now I'm getting a bill...WOW...I called Pacific Medical to explain and they were really nice and suggested I call Dr. Krinsky's office to let them know the situation and she didn't seem all that surprised..the lady almost made it feel like they get a lot of calls from Dr. Krinskys patients stating they weren't anticipating a bill...Well I tried to give them another chance and call and they forwarded me to the office manager...and yet again I got an OH WELL response... has anyone heard of customer service in that office.
