I recently had a full knee replacement with Dr. Klenck and he made sure that all precautions were taken to ensure a successful experience. He really cares about his patients. The Surgery Scheduler, Jennifer, also does an outstanding job of scheduling procedures and making sure that all of the necessary pre op referrals are completed in a timely manner. Highly recommended!

If you care about your health and well being, do not come to a place that practices mill medicine,…read morecontrary to the standard of care. Multiple rushed and poor experiences here with several physicians. Most of your face time here is with physician assistants. When a doctor experiences significant tactile resistance during an injection and openly admits a lesion isn't behaving like a typical cyst, shifting to a passive "wait-and-see" approach without looking at your historical imaging is simply a contradiction in clinical logic. Calling that out isn't about being confrontational; it is about recognizing that your intuition was right, your questions are valid. Dr. Billings operates a medical mill. I came to see Dr Billings (incidentally CEO of Pasadena Orthopedics) for a thumb lesion xrayed 5 years ago and never biopsied. She injected my thumb without so much as objectively establishing if the lesion was solid or cystic. She told me with utmost confidence that I have a cyst. She suddenly revised her diagnosis while in the midst of obviously struggling to inject the lesion with steroids. She wanted to move fast because volume means Benjamins $. I walked in with little to no pain, and walked out unable to fully flex or extend my thumb without pain. The office then gave me the run around for a simple imaging request after the pain progressively worsened and insinuated that the response to my injection in 6 weeks is "diagnostic." No rationale was offered. Billings tried to pivot with, "let's see if we get a treatment response." Truth is, she realized unnecessary needle trauma would have to be healed from forcefully trying to inject steroids (liquid) in something with the density of an eraser (before imaging could become meaningful). I offered to show them prior imaging, but they were too busy churning out patients. I came here for diagnostic clarity, not to sit around for 2 hours and be provided substandard care. The audacity of trying to pass it off as, "let's wait to see if the treatment responds" (damn well knowing it's not behaving like a cyst and forcing fluid in a solid mass in a patient's thumb). Come on now.

I was experiencing some foot problems in September of last year and went to see Dr. Upshaw based on…read morethe perfect reviews that he had and the location of his office! Upon arriving, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that the wait was not long at all. If only all medical practitioners would follow suit to know that their patent's time is quite valuable. I am also glad that his lobby area is not filled with patient's and family members like they are at other doctor's offices. After going through the prelim questions with the nurse (i.e. why you are there, have you experienced any pain, etc.) I am promptly seen by Dr. Upshaw. Dr. Upshaw's vast medical experience and interesting/funny stories serve to put me at ease and give my foot needs to him. If you are looking for a good podiatrist, I would recommend Advanced Foot Care Center!

Anyway, the good doctor was able to remove the glass without any local anesthesia, and the pain stopped! I was in the examination room with her, and asked other questions related to podiatry and the fitness of shoes. He explained the purpose of shoes and had a nice skeletal model of the foot and how it is supposed to flex. While being flatfooted, it seems the foot has to work extra-hard and that is the reason for early pain while walking. He is a patient Doctor with a nice small practice which we both feel comfortable in. He is close to home and on Fairoaks, close to Old Town, allowing another reason to stop for breakfast or lunch, as he has mornings for patients. I would recommend this Doctor for any minor foot operations, and as always get a second opinion.

She and her assistant, Ricky, were friendly, attentive, and gave me an all-around great experience (even if the diagnosis was not what I'd hoped!). She and her office have been great about following up for me on getting my brace approved by insurance (!), keeping in contact (and once I actually got an email response from her within minutes!). I highly recommend Dr. Futenma and her office for anyone who has a problem with their feet.

Frustrated, my wife found another podiatrist, Dr. Mark Kidon on Blue Shield's website (he had numerous stellar reviews), who, within seconds of my wife removing her shoes, pegged the problem as bunions. After successful surgery on both feet, all is well, and we will both be going to Dr. Kidon from now on for any foot issues. If a foot doctor can't diagnosis bunions, what's left to be said? Fast forward to this week and a bill comes in the mail from Claire Futenma's office for that visit 14 months ago when she was unable to diagnose what Mark Kidon was able to instantly. It's shameful to charge for a complete waste of my wife's time, but it's outrageous that it took so long for the bill to arrive. My wife called Dr. Futenma's office to protest the charge and the poor billing practice, but only received excuses about the billing staff. She was told there was nothing the office could do, so she was responsible for the payment since it had been sent to insurance - which is a moot point. And really? The bill came from Claire Futenma's office and there's nothing that Claire Futenma's office can do about it? Talk about adding insult to injury. Dr. Futenma, you should be ashamed.

For starters before deciding to write this, I just scanned through the various reviews written here…read moreby many over the years some seem genuine some seem fabricated. If you all want to know the difference between the two the fabricated are 1 star reviews written where it seems no thought was put into it just random ramblings and blah blah's from people with no friends here and from people who have written possibly 1 to 30 some odd reviews that have thought and effort put into them. That all said I have been seeing Dr. Ferrante since April of this year for diabetic neuropathy in both my feet thats uncontrolled and his office, office staff and Dr. Ferrante himself they are very welcoming, understanding people. His girls who answer the phone one of whom I think her name is Vanessa she's super awesome and when she promises to call me back she does. I dont have to call back to remind her what I needed or had questions about. Its a very pleasnt change of pace to find someone who is good about following up. Dr. Ferrante himself he is a professional soft spoken man who listens to all your concerns before making any recommendations. Ever since I was diagnosed with the diabetes many years ago I have heard from various Doctors to go see a podiatrist and I have been scared to do so, but Dr Ferrante has put all those concerns to rest and I no longer fear seeing someone like him.

Mary there, 32 minutes after my scheduled appt. time, said they would not see me because I agreed to show but not allow copying of my California REAL ID. When I asked to discuss this with Dr. Ferrante, they refused that, stating the Dr. was seeing patients, 45 minutes after my appt time still. I would not recommend Dr. Ferrante to anyone. The staff (Mary) is incompetent and combative. The Dr. overbooks.
