Long wait times, the staff isn't super friendly, and it's almost impossible to sit on hold that long waiting to make an appointment. Dr. Shinn has been my physician for about 17 years. She's been so amazing to me over the years, actually listening to me and being very helpful and genuinely concerned with my well being. There was a point in time when I didn't have health insurance, and she would still see me and give me free samples of migraine medications. She's become a friend, and I trust her implicitly. I wish she had kept her practice in Wexford, but knowing I can still have a high level of care if I'm willing to wait a while is going to have to do for now.

The intake nurse was wonderful and the physician was very friendly , patient and thorough. I would give five stars if not for the front desk receptionist, her name was Tamara , she was abrupt , inpatient and extremely rude with a very sarcastic response along with eye rolling that was noticeable across the room . I apparently answered a question incorrectly because I was also juggling a 3 year old and a two year old as I was checking in . If she can't have patience with people that are also dealing with little ones , well perhaps a pediatrician office is not a good fit for her . She was so sarcastic and rude to me , even after I apologized for mid understanding her question . She really left me feeling so unhappy with what would have been otherwise a wonderful visit . Tamara definitely should not be the first person greeting people at this office.

She's been named to Pittsburgh Magazine's Top Doctors list in past years and it's well deserved. Sarah is personable, easy to discuss just about anything with, and really knowledgeable in her field. She never makes you feel like she's rushing to get to the next patient and she's efficient and thorough. She's really good at analyzing your personal risk factors and ordering tests that will give her a clearer picture of your health because her goal is always to keep her patients healthy. Some of the tests she's ordered were things I've literally known nothing about but did them because I trusted her judgment and said afterward, thank goodness I did that when something was discovered that needed to be. Her office has also called me with a subtle reminder to get my act together and call to schedule a test she's felt was necessary and I'd been putting off. How many physicians are that on top of things? I'd venture to guess that type of follow-up is unique and just one more thing that makes her amazing.
