A "Backwoods Market", but it carries all the essentials items, I picked up firewood a few times during our vacation. Beer & wine are also available. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty, they actually use REAL eggs. Pizza is passable if you're hungry enough (New Haven style it ain't). Gas pumps may not be dispensing the right amount of fuel, couldn't get a precise reading for what I paid for. When I informed the clerk, she was just like, "yeah, they are off". Same thing happened when I tried to filled up at a gas station down the road too, this wouldn't fly back in Connecticut, but guess it does for Maine ? Mic Mac is a hangout for the locals, there is a bar-like area around where they make the pizza. I wouldn't say anyone was rude the times I dropped in (as a few other Yelpers have stated), but they certainly weren't overly friendly either. Kinda just got a few strange looks. Whatever. You also pay the launch fee here for nearby Crawford Pond. read more

Stopped here to get ice cream. We were the only two in the store. While the lady behind the counter was getting us a chocolate cone and a cup of coffee ice cream, two people also came in for ice cream. She gave us our ice cream and made us wait to pay until she had served the other two. There were 5 or six tubs of ice cream in the freezer 5 inches thick of ice. None of the covers fit properly. They were bent or ripped. She dropped something in one of the ice cream tubs. Both tasted of freezer burn and neither had much flavor. Won't recommend. read more

In Union there are 2 options for pizza and hands down MicMac wins. A large "Loaded"(4 or more meats, peppers, onions, mushrooms, olives and tomatoes )for $20.99, perfectly baked crust that is able to hold the toppings. It's not wet, soggy or undercooked. The beef brisket is pretty tasty too when available. MicMac takes debit/credit/cash I've not encountered rude employees, only have ordered evenings (which might be best time to order) and I always get delicious pizza. read more

Staff is rude, unprofessional. We had stopped here for snacks and to use the restroom. A few members of our group only needed to use the restroom, while several of us were planning use the restroom AND get snacks. I was going to be a customer until one of the ladies who was working there began to loudly (LOUDLY) complain about our group using the restroom and not buying anything. This loud complaint was said in a rude tone, and she didn't seem to have any issue saying it right in front of us. Sometimes people buy snacks and whatnot AFTER using the restroom! I was planning to get snacks after using the restroom, but I decided not to due to the staff's attitude and behavior towards us. A member of our group even put money in their tip jar because the staff had such an attitude towards us, and we wanted to try to make amends (or at least not feel like we were being bullied out of the store). I thanked the staff for allowing us to use the restroom even though we weren't buying anything, apologized for doing so, (again, the original plan was to grab snacks here, but we didn't due to staff's behavior), and the staff seemed to begrudgingly "accept" my apology. Respectfully, the staff could have simply let us know that they prefer people to not use their restrooms if they won't be buying anything. Alternatively, they could have waited until we left the store, then simply put up a "for customers only" sign on their restroom door instead of loudly yelling in front of us "I'll put that d*mn sign back up that says customers only if I need to; I don't care!" Anyways, you lost several customers because of this. Very rude and unprofessional behavior. Will not be returning. Edit: Staff was unapologetic about their behavior. One of the two staff members wouldn't even look at me while I was apologizing, nor while they "accepted" the apology. read more

Pizza is always excellent, I go there for gas whenever I go up to Maine to visit family, the employees are fun. Used to hang out there time to time when I lived in the area, the owner and her employees are missed deeply. read more

We had stopped for restroom and snacks, while using restrooms the lady behind the counter exclaimed "Did you see that? They all are just using the restroom without buying anything! I have no problem putting that sign back up". We were still in the store... needless to say I didn't go buy my soda and Kit Kat. Wait for the next one if you're traveling. read more

Staff was rude. Only a few menu items were available. Repeatedly told what we were trying to order was unavailable. Food wasn't warm enough and order wasn't made correctly. read more
Yay Mic Mac Market! Don't let the name fool you - it's a gas station... AND a pizza place... AND a market area... AND a package store. Yes - you can grab breakfast/lunch here (hot breakfast sandwiches available, as fresh muffins and homemade whoopie pies, and fresh made sandwiches and pizza available during lunch time), get your Maine fresh water fishing license here, pick up a six pack (or a classy bottle of wine), get hot chocolate/ or hot coffee, gas up your car, and pick up other snacks and beverages here. It's a one stop shop! Usually has the cheapest gas around the Union area, and pretty friendly girls behind the counter. I used to make small talk with them when I would gas up my car for my long drive back to Boston/NYC... Mic Mac is always a good time. :) read more

I love the old fashioned pumps and that I can just go up to it and it is on. They aren't thinking that someone is going to drive off and not pay like so many places nowadays. They have a puppy at the store (who could knock that?) and the attendant is always friendly and personable. A nice place to stop and grab gas or a drink. read more

The no frills look here may fool you into thinking that Mic Mac Market is not special but, boy would you be WRONG! Breakfast, lunch or dinner, there is always fresh and flavorful food that is prepared and served by friendly and efficient people. It's not flashy but, the people are kind and friendly and the pizza as well as the burgers are always tasty. Another hidden Maine gem. The gasoline prices are truly competitive also. Here's a special place to fill up your car and your tummy:) read more
