They're easy to walk and follow, with some viewpoints. However, due to the many leaves, most views aren't the greatest. Even though that's the case, it's still worth checking out the trail. Many other alternatives exist, including basketball, baseball, tennis, a playground, and the Tea House lodge, which the park recreation can be reached out to for events. I'm thrilled with the options offered. For the community and beyond, this is a beautiful park to visit.

This little park is a Mt Kisco resident location but we were somehow able to sneak in without a problem. There's plenty of benches, picnic tables, a pond with a pretty fountain, basketball courts, baseball fields, walking trails, you have it all! They even have wood available for fire pits. Dogs are welcome on a leash! It's an easy little park to get some nature time and fresh air in. A park for inspiration

I've also gotten to enjoy the playground as a kid with my parents and younger cousins and enjoying the view of the pond. I loved spending the day at the pool the other day. The weather was great, and I even got the chance to enjoy the snack bar, even though I got Taki dust in my eye. That hurt. The pool has always been a peaceful place, and I was even asked if I would like to try out for the local swim team a while back because the swim coach just happened to be there on the same day. Going to this park has always been one of the best highlights of Bedford Hills for me.

We love your (meticulously maintained) basketball court. We love your sweet little pondside location. We love that you're located right near the Metro North railway so we can watch trains go by and wave. Son #1 is in heaven when that happens. We love that we can all run around in the grass and not have to worry about stepping in geese poopie. Seriously -- high fives on that one. In short, we love you so, Bedford Park. You've got everything in one sweet little kiddie oasis. You make my little men shriek with delight...and who am I kidding..me too! :o)

I can see it's a place to be for hiking/trailing / biking/ exploring nature. I came here for tubing/sledding, a lot of snow/fresh snow. Not crowed , this place is a gem, hidden secretly. The fam had fun, good work out, alot of hills. Portable potty everything . A lot of history in this park.

I'm not sure if there's another entrance to this park, but the main entrance features a nice sized parking lot, picnic tables, small boat rental area and the dock to the pond. Don't be fooled by the pond- you can't take the plunge as there's no swimming allowed- plus it's filled with lily pads and other plant life. Boat rentals only take place Saturdays and Sundays for a small fee and a Westchester County Park Pass isn't required to enter. For boat rental however, you do get a leg up on savings with your pass. Any other info, check online. We claimed a picnic table to enjoy our pastries and played cards under the teees. This was a nice spot to wind down- just be sure to respect Nature and the area where you are and keep it clean.

We had a tour…read morewith 1 other couple, so it's not a popular location and it probably gets less funding as a State Park site vs. National Park Site so as far as a historical house goes it's not the most intriguing or lavish, but it's nice if you are in the area. It's not as impressive as say Monticello and not as popular and informative as FDR's house not to far away, but it has its charm. Being hidden away can be an asset, as when you are at the house, it's far up the hill from the road and really quiet, so you can get a good sense of what Mr. Jay would have enjoyed in his retirement. You can feel the peacefulness and why he'd choose to live here after living in Manhattan. The tour is about an hour and there was a farmer's market set up in the adjacent lot, but otherwise there isn't a lot to see/do nearby. Still, it's worth seeing if it's not too far from you or if you have other things in the area to see.

Anyway, Zofnass Family Preserve, along with the Westchester Wilderness Walk, is a 150 acre park located in the SE corner of Westchester County, extremely close to the CT border. It's run by the Westchester Land Trust, and the person for whom it is named still puts a lot of time into the park. We visited in the winter, when there was quite a bit of snow. This exposed the one weakness of the park: There's trail blazing, but there's no distinguishing of colors. That made it a little difficult in spots when we were not sure which trail was which. This could be a minor quibble, however. Overall, it has a great trail system (aside from the blazes) and a really quirky vibe. There are a LOT of informational signs for various points on the map, and there's a lot of dad humor and puns used in signage. It's really a nice park, and one we'll definitely head back to.

Lots of lounge chairs in the sun and shade. $40 per person for a day pass, or $180 per person for the whole year's membership. Can't wait to come back. 5 stars!!!!
