I decided to visit Miami for my birthday and on June 13th 2020 I purchased tickets to ride jet skis with my fiance and when we got there on June 14th at 3:30 pm we took the test they said we needed to take and refused to let us go. We'll come back because we did have fun doing the banana boat but I must say I was disappointed with their Groupon ad. The Groupon said it was an all activities promo pass, I even called and spoke to a lady over the phone and asked if there were any other fees that we had to pay for since the Groupon. Pass was pretty cheap. Only to find out that the Groupon I got only gave me 20% off of the activities which didn't say any of that on the Groupon fine prints nor did it say when I called the place for further information . To start off, me and my girlfriends had a LOT of fun once we were in the water. However, the process beforehand was a complete disaster. I bought a Groupon advertised as $16 per person for jet skiing and parasailing. When we arrived at Miami Watersports, they claimed the $16 Groupon was only a discount, not the full price. The actual cost was $155 per person or $180 for two people on the same jet ski. Additionally, they required a Florida Boater Education Certification, which none of us knew about beforehand. This test cost an extra $10 for the driver. We arrived around 2 PM but didn't get into the water until 3:10 PM, spending most of the time waiting for the workers. Despite the frustrating process, the activities were a lot of fun, and the workers were nice. However, knowing all of this in advance would have been helpful--it felt like scam. Nonetheless, once we got into the water all that was forgotten and made the waiting worth it. Going jetskiing in Miami is a must! read more

The directions on how to find them are confusing... however, they are so easy to find. Once you continue down the pier, they are located to the right. I thought it was going to be so much harder. I was happy about this. They do have yellow flags with smiley faces on it. When i got out of my cab, Sal made it his business to greet and attend us. I thought that was impressive. I still had ONE foot in the cab. Lol. He was such good help. This excursion is EXPENSIVE. I paid $89 through expedia.com. So it was $178 for two people. When i arrived, i was told that i had to pay an additonal fee of $58 each. Which was $116 for two. Then i was also offered the option to pay for photo's. Which was $39 + tax. Overall i spent an additional $160. So this excursion was a total of $338. I also left a $20 tip so that brought up my total to $358. Although this was alot of money, i am happy to let you all know that IT WAS WORTH IT. After paying we sat off to the side and waited. Once they had 12 people, they asked us to start boarding the boat. They had all of us take off our shoes and socks. They are not allowed on the boat. We were also asked to leave all of our personal belongings. Some people did keep their phones with them. I didnt. It was all stored away and locked into a locker. My things stood safe and i appreciated and loved that they wait for everyone to be present and watching when they opened the locker for us to collect our things after the parasail. We were soo lucky to sail with Pierre and Anouk. I love Anouk, she was small, powerful and mighty. She reminded me of myself SO much. Pierre was equally the best, very informative and friendly. They made this entire experience the best. I did this excursion with my daughter. She's 10 years old and was so excited to do this. The group of individuals we were with, were the BEST. We all cheered eachother on and gave eachother feedback on how our experiences were. I cannot explain in words how great of a feeling that way. Both Pierre and Anouk talked about how amaze they were by that. So IF you decide to book this, be open, be friendly, cheer eachother ON, talk to eachother... it makes the experience better. I wanted my child to have the best time of her life so i purposely spoke to everyone and cheered for everyone during there turns. The boat ride was great. I wish they had the option to book a few hours with Pierre and Anouk on a boat ride. They are just THAT much fun. Or even AFTER the parasail, having the option to still hang out for 30mins more on a little ride. I would of paid extra for that. Both Anouk and Pierre go through the rules. They demo how the equipment goes on. Then pair by pair, we all took turns getting geared up. We had life vest on and the parasailing gear. When it was my turn, i felt that the equipment was solid and it felt safe while in the air. They showed us how to access the emergency parachute if needed as well. Overall this was the highlight of our entire trip. Being that high up in the air, seeing the open ocean and being free. The staff was so helpful and friendly which made this experience even better. I can't wait to come back. I would do this again and also try the banana boat. It looks like alot of fun. Fyi, PAY for the pictures. Anouk took over 100+ pictures for me. It's worth it. read more

Process here was super easy. I literally googled this place, gave a call, was told to come on down. Then boom I was screaming at the top of my Lungs on the water. This place host a variety of water activities to name a few water tubing, jetsku, kayaks, etc. The price was pretty fair depending on what you are interested in doing. My friends and I opted for the 3 person tubing. This is where a boat pulls you and your crew for 15 mintues in the waterways. The pricing was $35 plus tax for each person. The staff was super nice and very informative with explaining the process. The most important part was the safety gear we all were suited with life vest and helmets to keep us safe from any injuries. This was by far the scariest thing I've ever done lol. But my friends had blast. The service was great and I would definitely recommend this place. We had a blast parasailing through the ocean waters yesterday. It was a great experience out there. I never tried any water sports exact for swimming but definitely it was one fun experience. All the staff was super warming. Getting my reservation done over the phone was really easy. I recommend filling out the waiver through the phone prior to getting there like that you get out the way faster. I really wish they gave us more time up there in the air but it was still a thrill right?!? Shout out to Pierre and lovely KOUNO for all for guiding us along the way and bring us back in one piece. It seems like most negative reviews had to do with refunds, but I did not have to deal with that, so I cannot comment on it. Regardless, the place was easy to find, and for 6 people parasailing, they provided excellent service. They put the right amount of people on a boat, and it was not crammed. The captain and crew (Cisco and someone else) were cheerful, energetic, and made us feel absolutely safe. The whole experience was amazing. They offered to dip you in the water unless you did not want it, and they respected your wishes. My mom, dad, and 70 year old grandmother all had a comfortable and safe time time parasailing with these guys. We purchased the photo package for our whole group on scene at a discounted price, and they took a lot of good photos for us. Even gave us a micro SD and reader. I called on the phone that they price match because in all honesty they are significantly more than others around them. I made an appointment and was told to come down and show the groupon. I come down here. Wait for an hour in line, go up to the counter to be told not only to they not have my appointment that they don't actually price match. They are "sorry" but unless I want to pay $100 more per person for jetskiing that they can't help me.... I dunno y'all tell me what you see.. They are scam artist and I'm a returning customer and they saw that on my boaters license and still didn't care. Go to other places on Groupon. Way better pricing. Like 129 for 90 minutes. What a great time parasailing! The boat crew Landon & Jack ( I think?) were so much fun. Not only were they skilled at their craft, they were fun-filled with jokes & pranks that kept us laughing throughout this venture. There were about 11 of us on this parasailing event (3 in my group) but everyone appeared to be excited and having a good time. My only complaint is when booking your tour read the fine print, my son's friend didn't and we ended up paying $53 additional per person (plus tax), they claimed it's for the fuel charge, above the advertised rate; "that's some BS!" That would be over $500 per trip for fuel, yeah ok We all know Miami can be expensive but I don't like when companies don't put the total cost up front, not sure if this should be blamed on Expedia or Miami Watersport? But for now, I hold them both equally responsible. The other thing is they don't accept Apple Pay or Amex!!! What? You know I don't leave home without my cell or my Amex! In this day & age? " Get with the program!" A smart business decision is to excel beyond Visa Mastercard and Cash, the more you accept the better the business and including the fuel charge in the original cost is more honest and allows everyone to plan within their budget. Had I not had the money to pay for the hidden cost, we would have been out of the money that we had already paid online, now who is that fair too? Definitely not the consumer, sorry Miami Watersport, this is a bad business practice and takes away from the overall customer experience; you all need to work this out with your 3rd party affiliations in order to create a seamless and overall great customer experience. Honesty & transparency is the better way to go! In conclusion, had this review been based on the parasailing alone this review would have received 5 stars But my reviews are always based on the overall experience, which includes customer service along with the actual event, so I unfortunately I give this review 3 stars. We went parasailing with Pierre and Anouk and it was the best and an amazing experience with them! They explained everything we needed to know, made us feel safe, and had the best parasailing time. My dad was initially only a spectator but everyone on board got him to parasail along with us! Pierre made it a smooth and fun ride for us and Anouk strapped us in with equipment and took beautiful and memorable pictures of us. Definitely recommend and we will come back next time we are in Florida!! A few tips- get there a few minutes early to sign waivers and pay the fuel charge per person- it was about $50-55 I believe. If you want pictures taken by their cameras- it was $40 for about 60-90 pictures total which was a great deal for amazing memories. Pierre and Bobby were awesome. However, the owner was very rude. He got very upset when we asked how much jet skis were. The only prices that were posted were for hats, deposit, and lanyards. There was nothing posted about jet skis. He was very impatient and disrespectful. It is first come first served. So you will most likely have to wait and it could be for hours. The jet skis were a scam. It takes anywhere from 15-20min to get to the area where you're allowed to ride. Then you can only drive in circles around their buoys. It also takes 15-20min to drive back. So 1/2 of your driving time is wasted trying to get there and back. You have to drive there and back in a single file line going no faster than 5. Parasailing was fun with Bobby and Pierre. No posted pricing. Unorganized staff. They "honor" Groupon price match of $45/hr pp but deep in fine print gouge you $75/30min ride $150/hr for fuel/insurance. These jet skis don't burn that much fuel and the insurance isn't covering you as you sign your life away before you ride. And if the jet ski does get damaged during your ride YOU are charged for the damage by way of your deposit not insurance. Also thinking of one ski and riding double? Add $199 for the passenger. I came here the day before my birthday. This is my first solo trip and I decided to live it up, so I decided to try parasailing. I was extremely nervous but the Captain Tom and Sam were amazing! They made me laugh, which eased my nerves a little bit. They were so friendly and funny and made the experience a thousand times better! As we were pulling out of the dock Captain Tom started playing the Jaws them and that cracked me up. Captain Tom even had everyone sing happy birthday to me, and that made me smile so much. Rented jet skis mind you I'm from California. So nor I or my boyfriend knew about the whole you need a license just to rent one. I ride one all the time back home no problem. Never needed a license. The staff was unhelpful. They should say you need to take a test on the website maybe i missed it. Also didn't state that even tho we had a reservation we would be waiting an hr and a half. Also all the hidden fees that they don't tell you about is outrageous they said on the phone that it would be x amount. Cool. Then we get there and there is a deposit and gas fees need to pay for the test ext. Which is fine just SAY that when someone ask for the total. Also the test took so long because they are extremely unorganized and rude. Once you get on the water of course it's cool but you also only go around in a circle which I wasn't mad at it, was fine but the whole process to actually rent one was unnecessary. read more

Ok so additional fees we were thinking $15 $20 dollars.. We park and go to check in and they tell us that the total will be and EXTRA $180.00 ON TOP of the $59.00 we paid on Groupon?!?!?? That's the 77% off they offer??? That is insane that they wanted a total of US$239.00 (TWO HUNDRED THIRTY NINE DOLLARS). This is SCAM 101 and these people should not be able to get away with this.. There are plenty of other companies around to choose from but do not use this place.. We all work too hard for our money to have people try and rip us off.. And lastly...
