The Miami Selfie Museum is so. much. fun. I thought they would have tripods at each photo station, so that you could take a photos of yourself, but I guess it is a "selfie" museum. They did have a couple tripods that people could borrow, though. Next time, I will remember to bring my own tripod, as I was taking my own photos. I had a lot of fun and got some really cool photos. I absolutely spent my entire hour here, but I could see how it could be boring for some people. It was a bit crowded at the beginning of our time slot (Saturday at 3pm), but it started to thin out about halfway through.

Celebrated last day of school here with my four kids. I love sharing experiences with my children. This was definitely a fav of theirs! My oldest on the way home said "best day ever!" It's beyond a visual experience, it's also an interactive one which is so much fun for kids. It's not that big of a place but it's just enough themed rooms to be worth the money. I highly recommended going during the week so it's not so crowded. I like that they have halo lights at each of the displays. The banana swing, mirror room with glow balls and the tub were the most popular with the kids. Definitely a must do if you live in south Florida or your just visiting. Make sure you know how to parallel park LOL! It's mostly street parking. Another reason why I prefer to go during the week.

We had friends visiting from out of state when we decided to go down to wynwood and this place showed up. Figuring it would at least save us from the heat, we went on a Friday. (Great choice as I'm sure weekends must get packed plus entrance is more expensive). The place features a lot of small backdrops to take selfies, many with selfie ring lights too. From donuts to pay phones to hanging bananas, let your imagination run wild and take as many selfies as your heart desires. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back on another week day now. This time, we are taking the good camera (which is allowed). Have fun, enjoy, take all the selfies you want and laugh. Don't forget to smile!

I had a lot of fun for my birthday. Some of the stations or props weren't in the best condition but it was so much fun and a lot of cute photos were taken! Definitely made for a memorable time.

I went yesterday to the grand opening of the Miami Selfie Museum. It is not quite a museum but more like an interactive place where one can take selfies with a variety of backgrounds. Yes, you read correctly, if you are a fan of taking selfies and pictures with cool backgrounds, this is your place. It is very similar to the Museum of Ice Cream or Candytopia if any of you visited these places.. They have 25 installations throughout the "museum"... a Blue room, banana room with a swing, a bunch of Angel Wings, a bathtub, bubble gum room, dark room with mirrors, green screen and many more backgrounds. The fun part is coming with your friends that have similar interests and like taking pictures. DO NOT bring someone here if they are impatient or do not have the patience to stand around and take pictures, they will be annoyed. If you do come alone, the staff is really friendly and they will be more than happy to assist in being your photographer. We left cracking up and we did have a good time and took a bunch of selfies for the gram. Only thing I did not like is the $27 entrance fee in which I think is a little steep but hey if you think your selfies are worth $27 then go for it. They are located in the heart of Wynwood right on 25th st. Street parking only which can be a hit or miss.

I spent an afternoon there last week and had a blast! I had the place to myself (It's by appointment only, from what I understand) and enjoyed being able to freely explore all the different themes. The front desk manager is friendly and checked in on me several times, making herself available to assist, if I needed it. I recommend bringing several outfits (I brought 2) which will make the experience even more enjoyable. So, on a Sunday afternoon, if you need something fun to do with a group of friends or alone, Peach Museum should be on your list!

The place was more fun than the image would suggest!

I guess you could spend the allocated hour here. Heck, with some shot setups I have seen in the random walk of life perhaps that would be possible doing one scene depending on who you are. For me, it was more of a curiosity so in the end I was wondering -- is that it? Did I have fun? Yes. Was it something unique? Yes. Did I get some great photos and brought back fun memories? Yes. Was it worth the $29 or whatever they charge to get in for the hour? Well, for me, I guess the answer would be yes as well, but your mileage might vary.

I loved this place! I didn't think I would get good pictures because I went by myself but they gave me a tripod to use! They also had lockers I could store my stuff in for free, so it was super convenient. Sooo many scenes to choose from and ring lights in many places that you could use to help change the lighting. The sky is the limit here for fun photos!

This place is so awesome! There are so many backdrops that it could take you hours to get through. It wasn't crowded at all and we felt comfortable taking as my photos as we wanted. The lighting is great and the backdrops are super creative! There's also several prop to use so you can get even more creative. We didn't even make it all the way through the museum on this visit but knew we'd be back to start the other way next time. I'd recommend bringing an outfit change if you want to make a day of it. It's totally worth the cost of admission. The girl at the front was super friendly and let us do what we wanted. I like how there aren't people breathing down your neck with unnecessary rules. You're free to do what you please and will feel totally comfortable doing your thing! What a great concept! I can't wait to come back with my bestfriend from out of town!

    Christina Y.

I loved it here! I arrived early on a Monday morning and practically had the place to myself. The backdrops will bring life to your social media and the staff is very nice and helpful. They provide free lockers so you can place your handbag, change of clothes/make up etc. Fun for the whole family.

My friend and I love hosting our birthdays together. Such a great option for getting all your girlfriends together to take awesome photos. Highly recommend stopping in on a group outing.

I had so much fun at the Selfie Museum! We booked our tickets online which made checking in quick and easy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful! The installations were very unique and great for adding a pop to your social media!

It's very pricy $30 per person but I like how even if you go by yourself they give you a tripod to borrow or they can take the photos for you! And I like how they don't rush you out so you can take all the photos you want

The tour occurs every weekday at 10:30 AM and is roughly around 90 minutes or so. It covers about 8 blocks or so and you stop along the way. You have to book the tour through TripAdvisor or can purchase tickets the day of in person from the Museum Welcome Center. I arrived 15 minutes early as the booking suggested and I was the first person there, so I explored the Art Deco Museum while I waited on the tour to begin. Your tour includes admission to the museum to explore throughout the day. The museum is two rooms and you can easily cover it in about 15 minutes. They provide you with headsets and are greeted by your volunteer tour guide. Mine for the day was Franzi and she was so nice and knowledgeable about the Art Deco area and was very personable. We started the tour at the the lifeguard stand behind the museum and continued on Ocean Drive and saw a number of buildings from the outside and also went in two hotels and the tour guide spoke about the significance of each of the buildings and interiors. A number of the things you could learn from reading the monuments and images inside of the museum but Franzi also provided a lot of knowledge about the area and brought everything to light. The tour was really good, and I'm glad I could finally take advantage of going on the tour!

In the 1920's during Florida's land boom years, many hotels and mansions were built. The 1930's and 40's were the height of the art deco design movement inspired by Paris and many of the hotels were built in this style. By the 1970's Miami Beach was run down by neglect and salt water damage. Things were so bad that the movie Scarface used to South Beach to stand in for a drug infested ghetto neighborhood. Barbara Baer Capitman and a group of activists banded together to preserve the Art Deco buildings of South Beach. Capitman founded the Miami Design Preservation League in 1976 with Leonard Horowitz which started a movement to place one square mile of South Beach on the National Register of Historic Places. Their efforts enabled 800 of the historic Art Deco buildings to be saved. In the late 1980's South Beach had a resurgence. Models and the fashion industry moved in. An area that once had people thinking twice about driving through became home to the wealthy. Today it is walking friendly and generally low crime. The setting and location could not be better - totally breathtaking. Views of the causeway and Biscayne Bay / Downtown Miami are amazing. The architectural details with concrete and MCM inspired wooden accents are just perfect. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and definitely added to our experience, and the gift shop is great. The restaurant is excellent and has a thoughtful menu, with several items that are inspired by pieces from the permanent collection. The sports art exhibit took much more space than I would have liked. There is a LOT of money in Miami, and I would have expected a permanent collection or even visiting exposition that would rival museums in New York, Philadelphia, or Washington, DC. - modern art, Impressionism, renaissance, or other fine art would be incredible. That being said, I will definitely return to enjoy the museum, and look forward to seeing where their artistic directors take things in years to come!
